We apologize this item is temporarily out of stock. We are among the few companies to offer teas directly from origin. While this has the advantage of superior quality, the disadvantage is longer delivery times.

Description

According to the International Ice Cream Association, Vanilla is by far the most popular flavor, getting a full 23% of all ice cream consumption. Inspired by this love of vanilla, Adagio has created Vanilla Green Tea. Combining the delectable flavor of sweet vanilla beans and delicate Chinese green tea, I'll scream, you'll scream, we'll all scream for... Vanilla Green!

Story

Vanilla story begins with the Totonaco Indians of Mexico, who were the first to unearth its secret. They fell to the Aztecs, who were in turn soon conquered by the Spaniard, under the leadership of Harnando Cortez. Cortez brought his precious plunder, including a few beans of vanilla, back to Spain. He also brought back cocoa. The two were mixed together, and the Spanish nobles spend the next hundred years indulging in the pleasant drink. It was only in the 17th Century that the taste of vanilla became valued on its very own.

"I really really like this tea! The vanilla flavoring is so wonderful and calming. Not too strong, not too sweet. A little bit of sugar really smooths out the flavor nicely. One of my new favorites!!"

"If you have had the vanilla black, this one is quite similar only in the green variety. Pretty solid tea in my opinion but nothing amazing about it."

"The first cup I had was great, with no sugar or honey. The second time I tried to add some honey, and it's basically one of the worst things I've ever tasted. This should not, under any circumstances be consumed with sweetener. Keep the natural flavor."

"Very nice tea. Subtle and smooth. Not a strong vanilla flavor, which is a minus for me, but probably enough for most people."

"Initially when I first smelt it, the scent strongly reminded me of caramel popcorn and i couldn't smell either the vanilla or green tea. After adding cream and sugar to the tea though the popcorn smell went away and it tasted decent. The green tea flavor wasn't as strong as I had hope, I was hoping for a stronger matcha flavor. The vanilla wasn't strongly noticeable and I would recommend just getting a good green tea and adding vanilla in yourself."

"Wow! I just found a new favorite flavored green tea! The vanilla aroma is much stronger than in the vanilla black tea, and the flavor is more pronounced but very smooth. I blended this with some Thai-flavored green tea (coconut, lemongrass and ginger), and it was fantastic. The Thai flavors were heavier on top, and it finished with the smooth vanilla aftertaste."
