We apologize this item is temporarily out of stock. We are among the few companies to offer teas directly from origin. While this has the advantage of superior quality, the disadvantage is longer delivery times.

Estimated arrival date is the middle of September. We'll gladly drop you a note once the fresh batch is here. Please let us know where to mail it:

Raspberry Green

Description

The moniker 'berry' is actually misleading, for the raspberry is actually a cluster of drupelets around a central core. When picked, the drupelets detach from the core, unlike true berries, which stay attached. However, you're sure to remain attached to our Raspberry Green tea, which combines the sweetly tart flavor of red raspberries and premium green tea from China.

Story

The genus Raspberry consists of over 200 distinct species, however, only two of these are presently cultivated. The first mention of raspberry comes from the people of Troy (Helen perhaps?), located in modern-day Turkey. Its original name was "ida," a reference to the mountain on which it was first spotted. The medicinal properties believed to cluster in its leaves was of more interest to its early users than the sweet, red fruit. Slang references to raspberry were of course developed much, much later.

"This is excellent! You can taste the raspberry, but it's not overpowering. I haven't tried it iced yet, but I bet it'd be great that way too."

"Just when I think I'm breaking free from the fruit flavored teas, another one grabs me back. I thought the smell was a bit artificial, but it tastes just fine in the cup. Consider adding a pinch of this one to some of your other green teas for a hint of sweet fruitiness."

"Just the right amount of raspberry, no funky aftertaste, not overpowering of fruit flavor, but not too weak either. This is the best tea I've ever had and will be the first on my list when I buy from Adagio again!"

"My girlfriend loves this tea, I bought it for her and she is now an avid tea drinker like myself. This one has a great aroma and taste and is good for multiple infusions."

"A nice green tea, though i prefer apricot green and vanilla green as flavored green teas. "

"I was expecting a strong, fake raspberry taste and was pleasantly surprised that this tea tastes of real, fresh raspberries and isn't overwhelming. It's a little strong, so I probably wouldn't drink it every day but it's great as an occasional treat."
