I'm confused. The Samurai Mate came to me in a bag that says it is an 'herbal tea' and on the back description says 'devoid of caffeine'. Is that correct? It seems everyone is saying it has caffeine.

Hello Tara! Apologies for any confusion. Mate is the one exception of our herbal teas that do contain caffeine.

Hi Tara! Maté has caffeine. They call it an herbal because it does not contain tea from the actual tea plant. The “devoid of caffeine” must be a typo.

Hi Shane, please look for the Ingredients & Lore section for the complete list of the blend's ingredients. It does not contain Black or Green tea, but does contain Yerba Mate which is high in caffeine.
