This hardy plant, hailing from the high mountains of the Balkans, has long been a panacea in its region with generations of locals enjoying Greek Mountain Tea or sideritis as healthful herbal tisane. In the cup it infuses to a mellow golden yellow and offers notes akin to sage and soft mint. A touch of honey and you have the perfect soothing brew for body and mind.
