Can the infuser be removed from the lid and the lid still be put on the tumbler securely?

Hello Sarah! The middle black portion with the handle contains the infuser. You could remove this portion and screw the lid directly onto the tumbler.

what dose the infuser look like?? is the holes small enough to not let out small leaves past it infuser filter??

Hello Scott! The infuser is the dark section with the handle, it's got a very fine hole pattern that would prevent all tea leaves and most Rooibos/Honeybush pieces from getting through.

Can you use the loose matcha tea in the activiTEA?

Hello Emily! We do recommend making matcha traditionally for the best results, using accessories, but you could use the activiTEA with varied results.

Is this item glass or plastic? I had an old infuser that I loved, but have broken, which was glass on the inside and plastic for the outer wall.
