The Aztec Mocha is a delicious blend of rich hot chocolate and warming spices that delight the tongue and bring a burst of flavor to the senses. Chocolate Chai offers the rich, spicy base for this delicious blend. Chocolate Truffle Black Tea enhances the depth of chocolate flavor and adds a stronger burst of energy. Mocha Nut Mate provides further kick, still, and provide a nutty depth. Subtle floral notes offer a blanket of petals to wrap yourself in as the cacao nibs bring home the cocoa punch and whisk you off into a day full of relaxation and endless possibilities. For an extra kick, we recommend a dash of cayenne, or a dried chili pepper added to the cup after brewing!

As a person with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I had an opportunity to sit in the quiet early morning hours by myself shortly after my first sample for this tea came in. I had gone to bed with a migraine at 6PM/18:00 the night before, and my partner cozying up in bed at 2AM/02:00 was enough to wake me into a beginning-of-the-day kinda state. Once they were asleep, I made my escape - and like the gremlin I am, brewed up a nice cup of this tea for my morning wake-up... and I was NOT disappointed! Rich, sweet, spicy, and light enough for personal modifications, the Aztec Mocha blend lit up my synapses faster than I expected, and I spent the next couple hours snuggled down into the blankets on our couch and sipping my treat with a maniacal grin on my face. I DID update the the recipe to amp up the cocoa and cinnamon a bit after-the-fact, and I liked it best with a dash of cayenne, a sprinkle of salt, and some milk steamed with a small splash of sugar-free vanilla syrup. Next time, I will be making it dirty with a shot of espresso added at the end.
