Chocolate Truffle Black tea gives this blend a deep, rich base from which the remaining flavors build, with a creamy cocoa prominent to the profile. Chocolate chai begins to elevate this tea by layering in delicious warming spices and even more chocolatey decadence. Lastly, vanilla green tea adds a burst of freshness, and just enough of the sweet floral to amplify the pre-existing flavors without drowning them out. Inclusions of cardamom, cloves, and orange peel round out the energy in this high-caffeine blend, and bring out the Warrior Goddess from within. Whether amping up for battle, or having had your fill of the rich flavors and settling down for a nap, this blend is all the right notes to help you along the way.
The first time I sat down to drink this tea, I about did a happy dance in my seat. Chais are incredibly high up on my list of flavors, and though orange and chocolate aren't usually a pairing I enjoy, I was lost in every sip of this deliciously sweet warming tea. If anything, I wished the tea had a bit more of the orange flavor. At the same time, it was so mellow I felt it needed a bit more spice, and so cardamom and cloves were added to the recipe instead. I highly recommend adding a dried orange peel to the cup, or using an orange sugar or honey for sweetening this cup if that's the route you go. If there still isn't enough spice, some allspice or pink peppercorns would probably do the trick!
