Creamy maple oolong mingling with hazelenut, apple, and seasonal fruits evokes the second harvest. Grains and fruits are ripening and blessed autumn has finally arrived. The days shorten and mornings bring a welcome coolness. Celebrate the first day of Fall with a cup of tea that includes fruits and nuts with notes suggesting cakes or scones hinting at the grain harvest.

Mabon is a pagan holiday, and one of the eight Wiccan sabbats. The name Mabon comes from the Welsh God, who was the son of the Earth Mother Goddess (although that name originated with 1970s Wiccans rather than ancient traditions). Mabon celebrates the autumnal equinox. Many civilizations have celebrated a harvest festival around the equinox, e.g. Oktoberfest and see the second harvest as a time for giving thanks. This time of year farmers could judge their summer crop yields and the fattening of their livestock to know whether they had enough for the winter. The original American Thanksgiving was celebrated on October 3, which is more in season with the actual harvest time.
