Tropical fruit, dairy, and nuts form a surprisingly cozy trifecta of shared aromatic compounds. Fruits such as coconuts and apricots, and milk products all share lactones, the compound widely used in the scent industry to achieve tropical aromas in cosmetics. Papayas, hazelnuts, and even roses share linalool in common, a compound associated with floral fragrances. Dairy shares 2-heptanone, a fruity ketone, with both coconuts and nuts. The contrast of slightly bitter and sour notes balances the natural sweetness of this tea.
