28th President Woodrow Wilson had two First Ladies while he was President. His first wife, Ellen, died during his first term in office. They had three children together, and during her time as First Lady, she arranged White House weddings for two of their children. Wilson remarried the year following Ellen's death, and Edith Wilson became First Lady. She became the functional leader of the executive branch after President Wilson suffered a stroke. She was an active First Lady in both social events and as a right hand supporter of her husband.
