Matcha Tea Characteristics and Benefits

Matcha Teas are made from premium tea leaves that are shade-grown to boost chlorophyll and L-theanine levels, and creating vibrant green, sweeter leaves. Stems are removed leaving what is called tencha. Tencha is then steamed and ground into the fine powder we know as matcha. Matcha tasting profiles can vary from lightly earthy, vegetal seaweed notes, to grassy and crisp, and even to nutty and faintly cocoa-like all depending on where the leaves grow and how they are hand crafted. Matcha is a well-documented, and highly revered source of natural antioxidants that support heart health, immunity boosts, mental focus, and calming energy with moderate caffeine levels.

Loose and Portioned

Our Matcha tea collection is offered loose packaged in tins as well as in convenient single-serve portion packet for brewing your style - whether at home, at work, or on the go.
