Description

Combining savory almond slices with the bright, fruity taste of Formosa oolong tea, our Almond tea is a great stand-alone drink as well as the perfect dessert complement. In fact, it is so versatile that, if you don't like our Almond tea, you're probably the one that's nuts.

Story

Almonds are mentioned as far back in history as the Bible. They were a prized ingredient in breads served to Egypt's pharaohs. Their exact ancestry is unknown, but almonds are thought to have originated in China and Central Asia. Explorers ate almonds while traveling the Silk Road between Asia and the Mediterranean. In the 18th Century, aided by the Franciscan monks, the almond tree made a leap to California, where it found a hospitable home. A large almond industry is now based in the Sacramento area.

"I enjoyed this tea very very much. Almond oolong is a very full body and tasty tea. This tea is smooth but has lite notes of almond. "

"I found this to be very unique and perhaps a great addition in a blend. Overall not bad and sweeter than expected."

"Not as good as the peach oolong (my all-time favorite!), but subtle and comforting. "

"Absolutely delicious tea. The Almond Oolong is flavorful with just a subtle hint of almond flavoring. I love this tea with a wedge of lemon!"

"Tastes a lot like Adagio's other almond-flavored teas; I'd have a hard time distinguishing between this and the almond black. A bit too strong and sweet for me."
