Description

Oolong tea from Taiwan. Formosa, meaning 'beautiful' was what the Portuguese explorers called this island. The oolong tea grown here continues to be called as such. The exquisite bouquet of Formosa Oolong tea is regarded to be the finest in the world. Complex floral notes echo on your palate as you enjoy this product of Taiwan's Ali mountain. Light bodied and softly sweet with an underlying complexity, this oolong will surely come to haunt. Perfect for multiple infusions.

"This tea is pricy, but so is a Ferrari. As a matter of fact I feel like someone with a Ferrari is sipping Ali Shan. Color is somewhat light which initially worried me, however, looks were deceiving. The best part is the honey flavor that lingers on the pallet. Take these five stars as but a modest gift to your greatness. Praise be to Ali Shan. "

"Nice flavors w/ nice light sweetness. One of my current favorites w/ Ooooh darjeeling but both are a bit pricey. Really good 2nd and 3rd steeps too."

"Nice light taste with honey finish. If you put sugar in your tea this one doesn't need as much sugar as you would normally use. "

"This is a good tea but not nearly so great as other oolongs offered here (some of which are absolutely outstanding). But this is not a bad tea by any means, either. The mouth taste when drinking is less full-bodied and less full of the traditional oolong flavor. However, the aftertaste which I find begins to develop within about 15-20 seconds is a delightful surprise I've never experienced in the past."

"This is a great tea. The leaves open up huge and gorgeous. This is probably the prettiest non-blooming tea I've seen. The liquor is light with a very faint oolong nuttiness and a honeyed finish. One of the nicest teas I've had from Adagio, and definitely worth the price."

"Light, flavorful, mostly jasmine notes. Very refreshing; because the flavors is delicate, not overbearing, I can keep re-steeping it and drink it all day. Have re-steeped up to six times with success. "
