The strawberry and basil are a great combination! They compliment each other and give a refreshing tea to have for mid afternoon. Goes great with scones that I usually make in the morning.

★★★☆☆

Cold brewed this overnight, the basil flavor was strong, the strawberry flavor barely there. I suspect it may do better hot brewed. Cold brewed the rest half and half with cupids cup and got the mix of flavors I was looking for.

This is a delicious tea. I tried it both hot and cold, and although I like both, I prefer it cold. The strawberry and basil flavors come through more when it’s cold-brewed. I recommend that you try this tea!

I did this as a cold brew, but after brewing I could barley taste the strawberry at all and the basil came through a bit bitter.

★★★★★

Excellent tea that I missed reviewing when it came by on the Communit-tea calendar. I love unique tastes and this certainly has it. Loads of great basil taste with a perfect amount of strawberry to balance things. One of Adagio's better white teas.

What a unique combination of ingredients in this tea. I love the herbal basil accent on the sweet strawberries.

★★★★☆

This was an interesting tea. The basil gives this a bit of a savory note to me. Paired with the strawberry, it has a nice balance. It's a light tea since it's a white but there is still plenty of flavor here.

Nice light warm strawberry flavor when warm; basil became stronger as the tea cooled. I'm not convinced, myself, that basil and strawberry go together. I thought the light strawberry was nice in the white tea but the basil was overpowering as it got colder

A very flavorful tea today. I loved the fruit flavor with the hint of herbal.

I've been using basil a lot after starting my hydroponic garden this year. Basil is my favorite herb. I'm glad used it in tea. this tastes great. Genovese Basil has a sweetness of its own and paired with strawberry is great. Who would have thunk.

I love this combo. It's delicate, but the herbal notes and sweet flavors of strawberry are perfect together. It also smells amazing.

When brewed hot, the strawberry and basil flavours come through better, though so too does some tang from the lemongrass and rose hips. Those two are pleasant, light, and well tempered, though - not at all sour or overwhelming; they add a nice contrast to the brightly sweet strawberry. I didn't try it cold-brewed, but I'm sure it'd be delicious, too. Light, bright, and full of sweet strawberry goodness.

I find I like white teas better iced. This was refreshing but not very flavorful.

I did a cold brew with this tea. I could slightly taste the strawberries with a taste of basil at the end.

Never would have thought strawberry and basil would go well together but it works!

Another cold brew winner! I steeped this for about 20 hours and the resulting tea was sweet strawberries and a light, herby basil that comes through but isn't too overpowering. The blend went together extremely well, and was perfect since it's been extremely warm and this tea was very refreshing to drink. Definitely worth trying if you like fruit-forward teas!

When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I noticed aromas of strawberry and lemongrass. All ingredients appeared to be in the packet. I steeped the tea for about 3 minutes. This tea is delicate, but still has a lovely balance between the strawberry and basil flavors! I really enjoyed this tea!

I like strawberry, and I like basil, and I like white tea, so I figured I would like this tea, and I was right! The flavor of it is subtle, which is nice for when I'm looking for a lighter tea, and I felt that both the strawberry and the basil played equally important roles in the blend. There's a nice sweetness from the strawberry, accented by a tartness that I assume is from the hibiscus, and I found this pleasant both hot and cooled. Steeped for four minutes at 90 degrees Celsius.

Went straight to iced with this one.
Light and refreshing for a warm day. The strawberry flavor was more pronounced than I expected for a white tea. The taste of basil was subtle to non-existent; with just a hint of lemongrass coming through. I'm here for the strawberry! Any other ingredient is just filler. Makes an excellent iced tea!

Updated from 4/24/22: Really lovely! I enjoy strawberry and basil combinations in general, and this was no exception. Great strawberry nose, well-balanced flavours when hot. I've cold-steeped it and I don't care for it that way, though; too basil-y. I'll definitely drink this one again and again. Steeped 3 min @ 190º.

In the bag: Most of the packet is the roughly chopped green and tan leaves of tea. A few large rose hips. Some scattered lemongrass. A few tiny bits of strawberries.

On the nose (pre-steep): 'Chili' is the first word that comes to mind. But smelling deeper, I can tease out strawberry and basil separately. Hint of rose.

On the nose (post-steep): The mild, woody scent of white tea has taken the lead. Strawberry and basil remain as hints. Still gives the vague impression of chili.

On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Tastes like it smells.

On the tongue (post-sweetener): Sweetener gives the strawberry a dose of vitamins. Basil is a little stronger, too, though not as much.

Opinion: A pleasant and unique tea. The strawberry and basil form an original and somewhat compelling combo. I'm not a huge fan of white tea, however, so I wonder how these flavors would work atop rooibos.

Preparation: First steep 3 min, second steep 6 min. Both @ 175 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.

The strawberry basil is another one of my favorites I like it hot but I loved it cold it has all the right flavors

First sniff, faint strawberry, and mild herbaceous basil, even trace hints of the lemongrass

Steeped according to pkg instructions:

First taste, no sweetener, hot - strawberry isn't identifiable but the basil is, though its not overpowering.

Added 1.5 t sugar, strawberry came out a little bit.
Sticking in the fridge for tonight.

Cold it is quite nice, the basil is a bit strange to me - in tea. So, took a suggestion from another CT member and added a splash of cream. That was exactly what this brew needed, iced creamy berry basily goodness. The berry comes out the basil mellows and its just a delight. I'll be ordering some of this.

Light flavor. While I love basil in cooking, I was a little concerned about the flavor in the tea, but it really didn't stand out from the other flavors and blended quite nicely. I brewed this as a warm tea in the evening and the light flavor lasted throughout the night, even as the tea cooled. I am planning to try it as a cold tea next to see how it holds up.

The perfect combination perfect sweets and easy to drink on iced, i try like an Arnold palmer with some lemon juice and sugar

Currently one of my absolute favorite for iced teas. I usually add a splash of lemonade which really complements this blend well.

Light flavor, a bit too light for my taste buds. I know white tea tends to be more delicate in flavor, and I did perceive berry, but I just couldn't taste the basil at all, hit or iced.

I got a strawberry tea as a freebie last year and I'm searching for it. I don't think this is it, but it's a very good tea. The basil is an interesting flavor that I'm enjoying.

175 for 3 minutes - This is an excellent, delicately flavored tea. It tastes lovely on its own - no honey required, and I have a sweet tooth! It's also EXCELLENT with lemon - would make a great lemonade addition, but I drink it warm.

It was just too bland for me I could barely taste it. The idea was very good as were the ingredients the flavor was too week

★★★★☆

The first time I tried this tea with a little sugar, and honestly it didn’t really do anything for me. I tried it again recently with honey (I hate letting tea go to waste), and it was significantly better with the honey rather than sugar. I probably wouldn’t buy it again, but I’ll certainly finish what I have.

Like other reviewers I was not sure that I would like a tea with strawberry and basil flavors. I had a light (in weight), Communitea packet so I brewed 8 ounces of water at 175 degrees for 3 minutes. I used a teapot and small teacup to better savor the tastes. I thought this was a perfect fruit flavor with a mild savoriness (is that a word?) from the basil. I was very pleased and felt a bit sad when I got to the last sip. I recommend!

I thought this was a particularly odd-sounding blend, so naturally I had to try it. And, WOW! The basil and lemongrass add the faintest hint of savory, while otherwise blending beautifully with the sweetness of the strawberry and the lightness of the tea itself. Tastes like a warm summer day feels, lazing in the sun on a freshly-mown lawn. And it's as good cold as it is hot!

This white tea reminds me of ‘summertime-when the livin' is easy’. The light aromas of lemongrass and basil are brought forward with nice accents of strawberry and hibiscus. If you're looking for something unique or wanting to switch it up to satiate your palate, I recommend this white tea. It’s a lovely afternoon tea paired perfectly with a dash of agave.

I had White Strawberry Basil as part of a free trial of CommuniTEA on April 24th, 2022. I added Hibiscus, Rose Petals, Strawberry, and Garden Herbal Honey and it was one of the most delicious teas I've ever had! I never imagined that basil would be good in a tea, but it truly is! This is definitely a favorite tea for me and I would highly recommend!

Not sure if I taste the strawberry but it does have a herby taste, not my favorite but I'll try it again I think I may need to steep it longer. It was a smooth taste just very subtle.

Was alright tasting. The strawberry didn't stand out as much compared to the basil.

Given the scent when I opened the bag, and the smell of the wet leaves while and after brewing, I was expecting stronger flavors. I could just barely taste the basil at first. Once it cooled down a bit, I started to get more strawberry notes, but they were still very very mild. It's okay, but not very impressive.

A light, delightful tea. Strawberry essence comes through clearly when you open the package, but once steeped, the basil overpowers the strawberry taste. I would blend this tea with another strawberry-based tea. I much prefer honey (rather than sugar) to add sweetness to this tea.

Not my favorite tea that I have tried recently. Kind of bland with not so pleasant faux strawberry aftertaste.
