Light and refreshing. The strawberry comes through nicely, with a hint of basil at the end. Very nice!

A beautiful tea, I do wish that there was a bit more flavor.

★★★★★

A light and delicious blend the strawberry flavor was much more forward in the sip but the basil added a light floral element, very refreshing iced!

The flavor of this tea wasn't very strong, and tasted more like straight strawberry without much basil. Perhaps my CommuniTEA packet just didn't have much in it. I think this tea might taste better cold-brewed instead of brewed hot.

I thought this was a strange combination, but it worked out amazingly well! A very light tea and really good.

Tried as a CommuniTEA sample. The strawberry came through nicely and the basil was a hint in the background. It gave it an herbaceous quality. It surprisingly worked. I prefer more robust teas though.

The strawberry and basil were a nice refreshing combination. I'm generally not a huge herb fan in my tea, but I did enjoy this mixture of subtle flavors.

The perfect balance of sweet and savory. This combination sounds somewhat odd as a tea blend but it works amazingly well. The basil provides a distinct, prominent flavor with out being to strong as to over power the more delicate white tea and sweet strawberry flavors. I was definitely pleasantly surprised by this one and will be ordering more soon.

This is a delicious blend! I cold brewed my communiTEA sample, and it had a good strawberry flavor with a hint of basil.

I generally dislike white teas but not this one! This was a great way to finish my day, light, fruity, and well balanced!

★★★★☆

Nice light strawberry flavor that worked well cold brewed. The basil taste wasn't very prominent to me, maybe because of the small sample size in the CommuniTea packet.

I routinely drink a Tulsi Basil, green tea blend from an Indian company; however, after tasting Adagio's White Strawberry Basil, I may have a new favorite, even though this is probably sweet rather than holy (Tulsi) basil. It is wonderful hot with a hint of sweetener. I'll try it iced when the larger pouch arrives😉.

CommuniTEA 2021 was a mysTEAry packet including blueberry that was super pleasant but I did not review for obvious reasons.

CommuniTEA 2022: Correct packet, but is that really a good thing? Strawberry/basil is one of those odd combinations like cantaloupe/prosciutto that are supposed to go surprisingly well together, but basil is an herb I try to avoid. Savory it’s like licorice to pasta for me and sweet it’s vaguely minty with bite; I just don’t care for the taste either way. This made me understandably wary.

It looked like all ingredients were in my packet, though only a tiny bit of strawberry. Because I’m often left looking for more in my strawberry teas I added extra freeze-dried strawberry pieces to this portion. Using 10oz of 180F water for 3.5min this stepped to a beautiful light blush. I took a tentative taste and was not repulsed! To really get the full strawberry flavor I added a little bit of rock sugar… and this was delicious. No the basil wasn’t totally gone or overwhelmed, or maybe because I identify it so clearly it was easier to detect, but it was just enough to frame the strawberry in a different way. It wasn’t overly sweet, just a perfect herbaceous touch. I’m really glad I tried this through communiTEA. On to the wishlist and soon to the cart!

I was startled by how much I enjoyed this! The flavors blend nicely for a fresh, clean taste. I'm excited to get a sample and try it iced as well.

I have realized that I enjoy white teas cold brewed. They seem to bring out more flavor. This tea has a faint basil taste that compliments the strawberry very well. This made a great iced tea on a beautiful day 🍓

CommuniTEA 4/24/22: this is one of my all time favorites! I love this one cold, so I brewed it hot and then left it to sit for two hours. Delightful flavor.

Lightly sweet and fully bodied herbaceous flavor. The strawberry combined with the floral elements tastes a little tart and a little sweet while the basil and lemongrass come through at the end with the mellow white tea flavor. I enjoyed this warm, but I'm sure it'd also be great iced or cold brewed.

Great flavor! I like basil teas but this is one of the best ones I've tried. The strawberry flavor is a great addition. I brewed this hot but I bet this would be great as a cold brew too. This is going on my wishlist.

I am still enchanted with this light, savory (from the lemon grass and basil), sweet (from the strawberries) tea. Interesting to note that my previous review notes a savory essence too.

This is an excellent light savory tea. The hint of basil is a delightful change from fruit flavored teas. Although the name suggests a strawberry flavoring I did get a strong berry note.

This tea reminds me of a freezer jelly I have made in the past. I added a wee bit of sugar and the basil came forward. I wish I could spread this on some toast or pound cake! Yummo!

Juicy strawberry is present up front, accented by sweet, herbal basil. These beautifully balanced springtime flavors slip gently into honeyed white tea and strawberry patch aftertastes. If you're a strawberry fan, definitely give this tea a try - Adagio's strawberry flavor is fantastic. This tea leaves you dreaming of more and feels like a sunset picnic surrounded by spring blooms.

I didn't expect to like this because, well, I'm not a fan of fruity-hibiscus teas. But this turned out to be an exception. It doesn't have the overpowering sweet n' sour flavour I associate with most fruity-hibiscus combos. Who would have thought strawberry-basil tea could be a real thing?

CommuniTEA Sample: This is an interesting combination. The aroma of the leaves were very strong with notes of strawberry, but I didn't detect much basil at all. When brewing, the opposite occurred in that it was heavy with basil with very little strawberry taste. It wasn't bad, but didn't taste nearly as refreshing as it smelled.

Sipping along with the CommuniTEA: Strong notes of herbal strawberry noticed from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 3 mins at 185°F, I notice mainly hibiscus. When I take a sip, I notice slightly metallic hibiscus, subtly sour lemon citrus, and a hint of strawberry on the finish with eucalyptus lemongrass lingering on the palate.

Interesting flavors for tea, the basil shines through but most of the cup was still pretty subtle as most white teas tend to be. This was the first white tea I had warm in a while, usually cold brew, and I actually liked it so that's a win!

4/24/22 Update: This year's CommuniTEA blend is the real deal! It's delicious. Lovely strawberry aroma and taste with a little tangy and tart lemongrass and hibiscus with a savory touch of basil with its hint of anise. Great blend!

Delightful, light tea blend. Smells of sweet strawberries. Brews into a pale, clear cup with a light aroma of berries. The white tea provides a very smooth base for the strawberries. No astringency. Didn't taste any lemongrass or basil or hibiscus, but really enjoyed this cup anyway.

There is a hint of lemon and strawberry coming from the CommuniTEA packet. It steeps into a light peach color. Yummy white tea with fruit flavor. As it cools the basil becomes predominant, and strongly seizes the flavor of the cup. Adding ½ teaspoon of sweetener to 10 oz does reduce the strong basil flavor some. I do not enjoy this on its own, however, this tea would be delightful to drink while eating an Italian meal with pasta sauce. (3 mins @ 180ºF + sweetener).

The scent of strawberry upon opening the packet was delightful, and a wonderful prelude to the fantastic strawberry flavor that followed. The basil was a subtle and interesting addition, and gave the tea an unexpected intrigue. Towards the end of the cup I did note a slight sour flavor that I couldn’t identify, but overall I was quite fond of this tea.

The aroma when I opened the packet was delightful. The brewed tea is a beautiful rose color and the taste is delicious. A very nice strawberry flavor with the Basil in the background. I think the Basil gives just the slighted hint of a savory feel to the tea. I loved it. I already placed my order for more.

All advertised ingredients were present inside my communiTEA packet. Strong strawberry aromas were noted.

I had 1.93 grams of tea, enough for an eight ounce medium strength steep. I steeped for three minutes as recommended at 175° (no 180 kettle button.)

When hot, there was a mild tartness noted from the rose hips and hibiscus. Strawberry and basil flavors were mild. I added ¼ teaspoon of sugar to bring out flavors and lower tartness.

When warm, strawberry flavors were moderate. Lemongrass flavors were mild. Very mild minty flavors were noted from the dried basil leaves. Raspberry leaves were mildly bitter. Pleasantly smooth and woody white tea flavors were noted.

This was a very nice strawberry blend that ends with a mild tingling sensation on the tongue. It is much tastier than it’s White Strawberry cousin. (3 mins @ 175ºF, ¼ tsp sugar)

Personally I really like this tea as I find the basil is a good match for the strawberry. Both are mellow and not overpowering.

An attractive red-pink liquor on the first steep, though it greys with oxidation. A promising blend of ingredients, though there is enough tartness for it to read more like watery juice for me, as fruit teas often do, and it was difficult to pick up any significant basil. I may try it cold next time, and a longer steep on a subsequent run. @adagioteas
