Hello internet, welcome to Game Teaory! The show where we over analyze everything from white vs black tea to the differences between pearls, needles, tea bags, and loose leafs! Let's talk for a second. You might think what you're about to order is tea, right? I mean, you came to a website, looked up the best youtuber there is, found what looks to be like an amazing blend. You're thinking it's gotta be tea, right? Well you're WRONG. The truth is, this tea is 100 percent NOT tea. I know what you're thinking. "But Matt! It's obviously tea! What else would I buy on a website that sells tea?" Well, other than those cool sugar crystals or something to actually make your tea, you'll find that a decent amount of tea on this website isn't tea, but in fact, a tisane. What exactly is a tisane? It's anything that is brewed like tea but isn't tea. What isn't tea? Well, good question. First we have to ask what tea is. Tea, whether white, black, oolong, darjeeling, and green, all come from the same plant. The variety changes based on how much oxygen is given to the tea leaves in the process after plucking them.
Herbal teas and rooibos teas are considered tisanes because they aren't made with leaves from the plant earlier mentioned. Are they worse? No, not really. They still make a great cup of tea, with many of the same medicinal qualities! So drink up fellow theorists! Pinkies out!
