I really like this as a staple rooibos to have on hand. The vanilla flavor is very pleasant. The aroma from the bag kind of had that medicine-y roobos smell. But when steeped, the vanilla mellowed it nicely. I can also see myself adding some black tea for a nice flavor and/or caffeine boost. Glad I tried the sample. Would repurchase! @adagioteas
This is delicious. I have had Rooibos from other tea purveyors, and this is my favorite. There is a difference! I like to add some cinnamon to it, either sprinkling some in or even using Penzey Spices cinnamon sticks. It makes for a delightful cup of tea.
This one goes very well with the mango melange tea.
I didn't know rooibos was my favorite tea until Adagio and this is the king of them all. Makes me want to go to sleep just smelling it. Love love love this.

Vanilla tea is great for mixing. I enjoyed this one mixed with herbal berry teas to mellow them out somewhat.
Classic, perfect, slightly sweet, lovely fragrance. The perfect tea for any time of day and any season. (I live at high altitude and water boils around 200 degrees, but I do brew in boiling water)
This is pretty basic, nothing spectacular, but vanilla is my favorite flavor so I am satisfied with it.
Rooibos is one of my favorite types of tea - especially to blend, and this vanilla is extremely smooth and creamy, making it a great base or on its own. I especially love it blended 3 parts vanilla rooibos to 2 parts peppermint with a little sweetener and a small splash of vanilla soy milk or vanilla creamer.
LOVE this tea. Makes for a perfect warming dessert or an afternoon treat.

first had this blend at my mom's house over christmas and became so obsessed I had to buy for myself! delicious rooibos flavor with just enough sweetness from the vanilla
2017: Has very little vanilla smell to it and the taste lacks all the nutty character of plain Rooibos. Not sure if I got a bad batch or what. Likely won't try again
2021: Re-ordered and tried again. This particular batch was much better. Either the tea leaves were fresh, or the vanilla of a higher quality. It's been my go-to tea on this colder evenings.
If you've ever been addicted to Celestial Seasonings Madagascar vanilla red tea, this tastes amazingly similar.
Much heavier on the Rooibos than the vanilla in my opinion, but still okay overall. If you like Rooibos then you'll love this.

I was prepared to really, really like this tea, but I have to say that it wasn't exactly what I expected. The aroma was mild to moderate upon opening the package, though I have to admit that it became stronger upon steeping. It really smelled good...vanilla-y. I found the tea itself to be a bit weak, at least until the sugar had a chance to enhance the flavor a little and the tea had cooled a bit. The vanilla flavor was more pronounce. Despite this, I found that I do like the tea, but most likely will prefer it mixed with other teas or flavors. I think it will be amazing as a base for my maple latte. I look forward to trying it that way. I steeped according to the package directions and used about 2 teaspoons of tea sugar.
I feel like you can only dress up a base like rooibos so much, whether by accentuating its earthiness or contrasting it. Decadent vanilla is still not enough to elevate this tea for me.

This was better then most roobios but still had that funky medicinal flavor to me. I only tend to enjoy the red roobios variety in a blend that really covers it up. This, the medicinal flavor was still pretty forward. Not a bad cup, but not one I can finish or would choose to drink on my own.
Delicious tea!! The vanilla really softens the flavor while giving a hint of sweetness to satisfy a dessert craving!! Loved it!

Tried as a CommuniTEA sample. I don't care for the taste of red roobios. It tastes like black olives to me. However, the roobios is more mild in this tea than most. Especially when cream and sweetener are added. Two stars when plain and three stars when cream and sugar are added.
This tea is exactly what it claims. Tastes of rooibos with a touch of vanilla. If you are a rooibos fan that likes vanilla, chances are you will love this tea. I prefer honeybush, so this tea was just 'ok' for me.
Not usually a fan of rooibos but added a touch of honey and I think it's cozy! I might prefer it in a blend, though.

The flavor of vanilla does a good job of enriching the woody flavor of rooibos. Together they are a really 'warm' flavor. Good on its own, probably even better in dessert blends.
This is one of my favorite rooibos. I am always up for a good rooibos.
I really wasn't expecting to like this one so much, as I've always been iffy with rooibos. The vanilla flavor is rich and intense, supported by the woodiness of the rooibos. It really tastes like cracking open a vanilla bean. I can definitely see this one adding to any dessert blend, but it does fall a little flat drinking it on its own. (Brewed 5 minutes at 212°)
As flavored tea goes, this one is pretty straightforward. The vanilla comes through well enough and complements the rooibos nicely. That said, there's an unexpected herbal, almost citrusy brightness to this tea that is refreshing in the cup but, truth be told, not what I want from a vanilla rooibos tea. (5+ minutes for 212F)
I just can’t with this one. I’m not a fan of vanilla or red rooibos but I always try at least a few sips of every CommuniTEA packet. The rooibos was not prominent while dry so I had hopes this would be drinkable. I was wrong. As soon as the water hit the tea an overwhelming medicinal smell hit my nose. I steeped at a much lower temp trying to lessen the medicinal taste. It wasn’t as bad as some of the other rooibos teas I’ve tried but the vanilla just didn’t help out the rooibos. This is not bad tea, just not one I like the flavors of.
Normally I don't like rooibos. It usually tastes like cough syrup to me, no matter what it's blended with. But there is some sort of witchcraft going on with this one making it taste like root beer. Yum!
A nice and simple tea for today. The vanilla flavor is very faint, but it's noticeable. I think this would shine best through a blend, but it's good on its own too!
The vanilla flavour isn't as good as the honeybush version, it's rather mild. I think it would be good for blending if you want to add vanilla flavour but by itself I'm not a huge fan.

Vanilla bean scents wafted out of the packet today. A full herbal steep at 212°F for 7 minutes produced a rich red tisane.
Smooth vanilla flavor interwoven with woody rooibos provides the base for this simple blend. Some mild straw and honeyed components from the rooibos work well alongside the vanilla. This one's pretty straightforward: rooibos and vanilla.
If you like both of those flavors, then this is probably your cup of tea.
CommuniTEA packet tasting, take my review with a grain of salt as I dislike red rooibos. As soon as I opened the packet, the smell was off putting. I brewed it up and nope. I even tried drinking this with my nose plugged. This one is not for me. If you love red rooibos and vanilla, I think you’d enjoy this one. There’s something about the flavor that does not agree with my taste. Happy sipping!
I'm not crazy about rooibos but the vanilla is very nice.
Red rooibos isn't a favorite flavor of mine. The earthy, woody taste is hard to mask. That said, my husband adores this blend and oftten adds it to other flavors for the vanilla boost. So, if you like rooibos, it is a nice decaf vanilla-flavored tea. If you don't like rooibos, the vanilla doesn't improve it. :)

The combination does quite do it for me, but I like that it’s herbal. It’s something I can have warm any time of the day without having to worry about being up all night.

Steeped at 195 for 4 min. I wasn't really crazy about this tea. Not awful, not great. Added 2 tsp turbinado sugar. The vanilla was subtle, and while I like the benefits of rooibos it doesn't have much taste to me. 5/10
