Our ingenuiTEA teapot comes in two sizes: 16oz that is well suited for hot tea and 32oz that is ideal for iced tea. Size is the only difference between the two versions. To infuse, simply add tea leaves and hot water. When tea is ready, place atop any cup. The valve at the bottom will open, allowing tea to flow down while a filter retains all the leaves.
To reduce the chance of shattering, the teapot is made of Tritan, a plastic specially-formulated to be safe in hot-temperature applications and is 100% BPA-free. Luckily, our older polycarbonate models were also tested to be BPA free.
The lid of the teapot may also be removed for easy placement in the dishwasher. To replace, simply return the lid to its original position and snap in place with a gentle push. Please note that the ingenuiTEA is not microwave safe, and that we do not carry replacement lids for the unit.
Tannins in tea may impart color to the teapot over time. To remove discoloration, we recommend submerging the unit in vinegar, and leaving to soak overnight.
Tea leaves or other debris may get caught in the opening at the bottom, causing the teapot to leak. A strong burst of air is all that's required to dislodge any debris. Simply turn the teapot up-side-down and blow vigorously into the opening at the center. If a stronger burst of air is required, we recommend using a hair drier.
Replacement Filters
Current model ingenuiTEA teapots do not have replacement filters, and we have long since run out of replacements for the old units. We apologize for any inconvenience and we recommend upgrading to the newer model.
In terms of functionality, both our original IngenuiTEA and
its updated version 2 work the same. The main difference between them is the aesthetics and the filters.
The IngenuiTEA 2 has a removable BPA-free plastic filter, which means the entire unit is microwave safe. (Original IngenuiTEA has a built-in, stainless steel infuser)
Version 2 also comes with a handy drip tray.
Our beloved TriniTEA electric tea maker is unfortunately no longer available.
Consumer expectations of kitchen appliances are evolving, and so the tea maker that we've offered in the past needs to keep pace. We're working on new and exciting ideas, and will be bringing a new tea electronic tea maker to the market soon.
Our UtiliTEA kettle was created to produce an ideal water temperature for all tea varieties. While having a range of 135 to 212 degrees, it makes heating water easy by offering two color ranges. The green band produces water that is ideally suited for the preparation of green and white teas. The orange band produces water that is ideal for the preparation of black and herbal teas. The kettle will automatically turn off upon reaching the desired temperature.
The kettle spout contains a filter designed to remove any debris that may have fallen inside. Should it dislodge, replacing it is an easy task. Please ensure that the curvature of the filter is facing away from the spout. Place the bottom of the triangular filter into the lower part of the opening. Then press the upper portion of the filter against the kettle and push gently until it pops into place.
Tea is 99% water, making its quality of paramout importance. The best of teas will taste worse than ordinary if prepared with unfiltered tap water. As such, we recommend steeping all our teas with spring or filtered water.
The advantages of GraviTEA are economy and speed. It costs a fraction of the cost of bottled water and filters liquids at twice the rate of comparable systems.
At its center is a replaceable filter cartridge. To prepare for use, we recommend soaking in water and moving briskly from side to side as illustrated on its packaging.
Once complete, insert the filter at the bottom of the inner compartment and fill the cavity with water. The first batch may contain charcoal remnants. Simply pour out and repeat. Your filter is now ready to yield crystal-clear water.
The inner compartment has an end that is round and one that is more linear. Please ensure that the linear one is facing the front. Otherwise, you may find the lid difficult to snap in place. Rotating the compartment 180 degrees will yield better results.
Please remember to change the cartridges every 60 days. The electronic display is a handy reminder of this. Please depress the reset button for three seconds to signal the placement of a new cartridge. Pressing the button afterwards will illuminate its remaining life. The graph will flash hollow upon the cartridge reaching the end of its 60-days life, signaling that it needs a replacement.
The easiest way to remove the lid of the GraviTEA is to lift from the front of the lid.
Apply light pressure as you pull the front up and away from the handle. There's a notch in the back of the lid that goes into the handle that makes it more difficult to remove the lid from the middle or the back.
To put the lid back on, slide the notch into the handle and apply light pressure from the handle to the spout to set the lid in place once more.
Our advanced kettle has precise settings for all tea varieties, making it easy to achieve a water temperature that is ideal for your tea of choice. It also has a 'keep warm' feature that will maintain a selected temperature for a half hour. Temperature settings include 150, 165, 180, 195 and 212F. Concealed heating element with boil-dry protection.
To begin heating, select desired temperature and press the on/off button, which will illuminate indicating activity. Selected temperature will blink while heating and alight for one minute upon reaching the desired setting, at which point the kettle will automatically shut off. Alternatively, press the keep warm button and the kettle will cycle on and off to maintain desired temperature for 30 minutes. Do not heat any liquid other than water and never place tea leaves inside a kettle.
Thanks for your interest in our
velociTEA electric tea maker!
Its ingenious design transports water from the bottom to the infuser at the top. It then drips down and makes the journey through the infuser basket once more. This continued for the length of the infusion, ensuring that the tea leaves release all their flavor and aroma.
If your velociTEA tea maker is having difficulty circulating water, the likely cause is a build-up of limescale. To remove limescale, please consider our
descaling tablets.
Simply dissolve one tablet in a glass of water and run the tea maker using the "black tea" setting. If it's been a while since you'd descaled your machine and the scale build-up is severe, you may need to repeat the descaling process a few times before circulation resumes again.
For heavy build-up, you may need to use more than the recommended amount of descaling tablets. We've seen machines that required up to three to clear the scale.
In order to produce finer powders or larger pieces, please open the top of the gritTEA like you are adding spices, tea leaves, etc. Once opened, you should see a hexagonal wheel or gear in the center of the device. Turning this gear will adjust the size of the particles that the gritTEA creates. Turn it to the right for finer powders, and turn it to the left for larger particles.
Thank you for your purchase of either our
Copper Kettle or
Cast Iron kettle!
To maintain the appearance of these kettles take care to completely dry after each use. Any water inside or outside the kettle may oxidize or rust the kettle, respectively.
Should a
cast iron kettle start to rust, use a tough side of a sponge to scrub away under warm water. Dry completely with a lint-free cloth after cleaning.
The
copper kettle will tarnish over time. To maintain it looking like new try this method! Create a solution with equal parts water and vinegar. Lightly dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with the solution. Then, rub the tarnished areas with light pressure in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water and dry completely with a soft, lint-free cloth rubbing in circular motions.
Keeping these kettles thoroughly dry between uses is essential!
Honey is thick and sticky, so getting it to flow through a new pump takes a bit of effort. The first few pumps may not yield any honey, but we assure you that the pump works well once primed.
To prime it, please depress the pump with force until you see the first batch of honey emerge from the spout. No further priming will be required. The pump will yield a delicious dose of honey with each successive push.
Please follow these instructions to enjoy delicious raw honey.
Tea is an easy product to store, provided you observe a few simple precautions. The first is to keep it dry. The second is to keep it closed, as tea will easily absorb neighboring scents and flavors. Lastly, keep it out of direct sunlight, and its damaging UV rays. The
storage containers we offer are specially coated to block UV rays, which speed up tea's aging.
Please carefully close the zippers atop the pouches in which our teas are packaged to ensure that the last cup is as fresh as the first. Should you prefer others means of storage, we recommend either metal canisters or glass jars. Both offer an air-tight seal to keep tea dry and insulated from external scents. Both also offer protection from UV rays, allowing you to display tea in the open, without worrying about damage from the sun.
Most teas do not require refrigeration, although connoisseurs of green teas from Japan often store them in this fashion. However, freezing teas would produce the opposite effect, introducing moisture that is damaging to tea leaves. For this reason, we recommend keeping all tea leaves out of the freezer.
Our electronic products come with a 1 year warranty. This warranty covers manufacturer defects and other issues not related to customer use.
