This is wonderful both hot and iced. One of the few teas that I had to order a full size of, as soon as I finished my sample.
The bright flavors of strawberry mingle with the roundness of basil make a perfect combo brewed both hot or iced.

This is wonderful both hot and iced. One of the few teas that I had to order a full size of, as soon as I finished my sample.
This one is better iced than hot. The taste of basil is not too intense.
I'm not a fan of white strawberry or basil, but this tea is a whole jam. I love it
Wonderfully light and refreshing, it's like a summer picnic kind of taste. Strawberry and basil are a heavenly combo.
Was a bit disappointed with the favor. My next I will try it over ice
I wasn't a fan of this tea.
I brewed it 3 times before I was just like nope can't do it. Tried different times, etc.
I'm unsure if it was the white strawberries or basil. But all you could smell was basil.
A nice light tea if you're a strawberry fan! Add sugar and allow to cool (or drink iced) to bring out the flavors.
I don't really like this tea. It doesn't seem like a white tea.
love white teas love strawberries like basil... intriguing idea and surprisingly yummy
The basil isn't a super strong flavor in this mix, and makes for an excellent, slightly herbaceous and earthy, backdrop for the strawberry. At first the strawberry flavor was rather faint for me, but I increased the amount in my cup and it really shown through more strongly the second time around. Tastes good hot or cold, and it's really hard to oversteep it I've noticed, as the bitterness that would come about gets overpowered by the strawberry flavor. Got it as a sample, but I'm certainly going to need more next time I order!
I like the mix of the earthy Basil with the gently sweet Strawberry. Makes lovely iced tea. I now have a ton of it in the cupboard (and iced tea in the fridge) at all times.
This is a solid tea. Tastes pleasant but I didn’t get much strawberry or basil. Just tasted like fruity white tea. Very light.
This was a nice fun and edgy blend. I think adding the basil with the strawberry made me feel like i was at a juice bar getting a super refresh drink. I would ve preferred to have a more pronounced basil flavor though. It was a little weak
I learned that there was a white strawberry basil in the CommuniTEA a few weeks ago but I didn t get much basil in that package but the idea was seared into my mind so I purchased it. I drank this hot (delicious) and make some iced (double the amount per cup, steeped 3 mins, refrigerated undiluted) which was mellow and sweet. My teapot has settings for 175 (green) and 185 (white). I was afraid of burning the leaves (Adagio recommends 180) so I went with my green setting. My 29 year old adventurous son and I shared some when it was room temp and again cold for dinner. We both loved it. I haven t steeped it for a second time but I think I ll go for 6 mins and see how it works out.
strawberry and basil sounded like a slightly odd combination to me at first, but i really loved this tea! the taste is unique, with both the strawberry and basil flavors really cutting through. perfect for a picnic
I liked it but did not love it. I think I loved the idea of it more than the execution. Was very mild and the flavors did not stand out.
Dry tea smells like strawberry with a hint of basil and the hay scent of lemongrass. Once brewed, the tea is a medium reddish purple, most likely due to the rose hips and hibiscus. The tea smells like a ripe strawberry, with a slight herbal undernote. The tea itself is very delicate when hot, with the white tea base highlighted by light sweet strawberry notes with a hint of herbaceous basil. The lemongrass adds a bit of spiciness to the finish. When warm, the strawberry notes become more prominent, as does the basil, especially after the sip when exhaling. The hibiscus and rose hips become more noticeable with a hint of tartness. The lemongrass adds a slight lemony flavor in addition to the bit of spice in the finish. This tastes like it would be delicious iced. Brewed at 180 for 3 minutes.
There is a faint hint of strawberry aroma when dry. After brewing, and while the tea was hot, I was initially disappointed because there wasn't a lot of flavor. However, as the tea cooled there were both sweet and sour notes, probably from the strawberry and the lemongrass. With the basil thrown in this tea blend is very intriguing. I think I will try it iced next time.
This one has a subtle flavor but was so lovely and unique.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with this tea. I wanted to taste basil more.
The smell is definitely fruity, but not overwhelmingly so, while the flavor is more delicate. I never smelled or tasted the basil specifically, but I think it has a balancing effect, bringing together the sweet fruitiness of the strawberry with the gentle herbaceous flavor of the tea leaves. I don't usually add anything to white tea, but a little bit of sugar brings out the strawberry flavor.
I originally tried this with the sample of the CommuniTea sent with my last order. I really enjoyed it, so I decided to get more! The strawberry scent is wonderful, but not overpowering. The basil is very subtle, and the whole tea is very light and refeshing.
This is pretty good. I am not getting the basil but I do taste a light fruitiness. I believe this might be better iced and brewed so that it is stronger.
This is was one of the best white teas I’ve ever had. It’s so detoxifying!!!
I wish I had read the ingredients before I went to bed last night as I would've loved this tea cold brewed! There was a blueberry in my leaves and it carried the day, even though I don't think it belonged there. I didn't taste the hibiscus, basil or strawberry flavors. Not exactly as described, but all in all, a well rounded, light, fruity and refreshing tea that would be amazing cold brewed.
Update: I purchased some of this tea after not being too sure that it was present in my CommuniTEA packet. Dry leaves smelled savory more than sweet. Tasting while hot, I picked up a strawberry basil flavor. As it cooled, the lemon grass joined the party. The hibiscus was a slightly tart memory on the back note of the tea. Unique and light! Happy sipping!
This day has finally arrived! I did not review it when it was offered through Communitea as I already reviewed White Strawberry which has blueberries. This does not. For tea leaves, I can smell a nice strawberry/pizza seasoning combo. I know that doesn't sound promising. This has more of a strawberry taste than the White Strawberry. The basil adds a savory taste to the tea. The more sips I take, the more I like it.
I really love the strawberry flavor in this tea! My only complaint is that the basil doesn t really come through as much as I d like. Still, extremely enjoyable.
This tea was a nice change for me. I like the juxtaposition of the strawberry and basil, they work so well together. I love the herbal touch. It is a tad light for me, may steep it longer next cup.
A very delicious white tea. Flavors aren’t too strong or too weak. Great.
Very fresh and light, a great tea for the spring.
Frankly, I ordered this because it sounded weird. I wasn't sure if I'd like it, at $2 for a sample, I figured I'd give it a go.
I was pleasantly surprised! Neither the strawberry nor the basil is as overpowering as I'd worried they'd be. Definitely a blend I intend to order more of.
This was a light and bright tea, very appropriate for springtime. The strawberry flavor really shined. This was even better cold, IMO. It would be delicious iced.
I don't think my CommuniTEA packet had Strawberry Basil, I think it was the white strawberry. I steeped at 180 F x 3 min. I really enjoyed the scent and the taste!
Part of the April 2021 CommuniTEA box. Didn’t get a lot of basil in my cuppa, flavor wise, but that strawberry is such a sweet darling I can forgive it for outshining its partner.
I received this tea as part of the CommuniTEA box. As this is a single portion, blends may be somewhat unbalanced compared to a larger purchase of the tea. On with the review proper.
Out of the package, the tea smells sweet, with some warmer round notes as well. It's a little difficult to tell exactly the basil and the strawberry, but it's not an unpleasant smell. The leaves look to be in good shape, with some nice, long leaves, as well as some smaller pieces as well. It seems as though all the ingredients are present in my pouch, promising for the tea as a whole.
After steeping for approximately 3 minutes with 180F water, the tea comes out a pale yellow-green that smells somewhat less sweet than the dry leaves. The tea itself is alright, with the tea most predominant in the flavor profile, and the basil and strawberry taking a step back except in a slight sweet-tart fruitiness. Adding sugar helps to bring out the strawberry and basil, allowing them to shine more. As the tea cools, the strawberry also comes out more predominantly, creating a nicely fruity tea.
Overall, this is a very pleasant tea that I'm sure will be quite nice iced as well as warm. I'm quite glad that I have a larger sample of this so I can drink more of it later on.
Such a refreshing tea - had to do a second steep after I finished the first cup, cuz it was so lovely and light. Perfect for the warmer weather.
Great combination! I am a fan of basil and it goes perfectly with strawberries.
My CommuniTEA packet was likely the White Strawberry, rather than White Strawberry Basil. I did a cold steep overnight and sweetened it with a little honey. The flavor was mostly strawberry. A deliciously refreshing iced tea.
Had my sister review this one for me, she said it was a good flavor, and a really nice tea! I'm just not a fan of strawberries <3
Only giving 3 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️’s because all the flavors were not present
I love this tea!! Perfect strawberry flavor would be great iced!
The smell in the packet today was dominated by strawberry, but the taste was a nice balance of strawberry and white tea, with a hint of complexity that I suppose might have been the basil. A tasty tea, though I can't really detect the basil. 170 F for 3 min.
Communitea was a nice light strawberry white tea, but it was missing the basil. Worked well iced though.
Steeped 180F 3min
This tea smelled incredible when I opened the packet. It had a lovely fruity smell. It was a really delicious tea. It's sweet and refreshing hot. I think it would make a lovely ice tea. I was surprised how well strawberry and basil go together. It's just prefect for the summer.
“Basil?” I wondered as I read the ingredients. I should know better than to question Adagio by now because this tea is DELICIOUS. White tea is not hidden by resounding strawberry and the basil hides as a soothing background note.
It's a very nice, light flavor. I think my communitea packet may have been a little light, didn't look like quite enough tea to me, and the flavor is very light - but it tastes nice. I might pick up a bag and make iced tea with frozen strawberries out of this, i think it'd be perfect.
This was amazing right from the first smell in the sample. I loved the strawberry, and only got a hint of the basil. Which was good as I was worried it'd be overwhelming. I think like others this would be an amazing summer cold tea
Yet another time I've been pleasantly surprised by my Communitea offering! I thought I was not a fruity tea fan, as many of them seem too weak or too fake to me. When I opened my packet and smelled the sweet scent of strawberries I smiled but was worried the tea would be overly sweet. It was delicious! The white tea background provided a solid base that added flavor and tamped down the sweetness. The strawberry flavor was pronounced yet somehow creamy, and the basil added freshness. The flavor continued to meld together through three steeps, and the third was just as flavorful as the first. I will definitely be purchasing this in the future, was it was a delightful afternoon/early evening treat.
my communiTea packet smelled strongly of strawberry, with a little hint of herb-y basil at the end. Once brewed, the fruit flavor was light, with the white tea kind of the star of the show.
Loved the aroma when I opened the tea bag. This tea was delicious! It had a hint of tangy fruity flavor. This blend was very light and smooth. I think it is one of my favorites so far. ( 180F @ 5 mins)
