This tea maker is super simple to use, it's very reliable, and it keeps things hot, which I like. The steeping volume took me a couple tries to get to my own taste, but that's a matter of preference. Easy to clean too.

I love this tea maker. It makes it so easy to brew tea, and I love how I am able to walk away in the morning and get ready while brewing my morning cup

GAME CHANGER!!! I absolutely love this tea maker. It brews my tea perfectly and keeps it warm so I can savor it in the morning. It’s super easy to clean and maintain. I prep it at night so all I have to do is press the button and viola! It’s great for the new ‘work from home’ era and I’ll definitely need to buy a second for the office when the time comes.

I haven't had any major issues thus far, and I appreciate the number of brewing levels. Unfortunately the design of the lip means that some of the tea will always get stuck and not pour out, which can be annoying even if its only a couple tablespoons of liquid. I'm sure there are more efficiently designed tea makers, but this one does the job.

Gave this to my husband as a holiday gift -- managed to turn a dedicated decaf coffee drinker into a tea drinker. He loves that he can make such a large pot of tea that stays hot.

LOVE THIS MACHINE love it enough I got one for a friend also it's made my life so much nicer. Cannot suggest it enough.

As a die-hard coffee drinker, the VelociTEA tea maker made the transition to tea easy and simple. I like the preset buttons to make things simple. It heats up fast and brews great tasting tea.

It works great when it works. It heats up the water great, but getting it to pump the water up through the tea leaves sometimes takes some convincing. I have had to resort to the time-tested unplug it and plug it back in method more than once in order for it to be able to pump the water. If it worked as it should then this would be by far the best tea maker I have ever had. However, it simply does not always do the job it is designed for.

Simply love this. It sits next to my coffee maker, and is my go to even before my coffee some mornings for the simplicity of its use.

Perfect tea every time! So glad I decided to get this tea maker. I was looking for a kettle that would allow for different temperature selection, but this is a better investment. Makes the most of my loose leaf tea collection and 2-3 cup a day routine!
Update: I use it every day, total game changer
Update: Over one year in, still use it multiple times a day! I make loose tea in the morning, wash it, and use it as a kettle in the afternoon. I wash it with hot water and soap and I don't have any buildup issues, still looks like new.

I bought it for a gift for my girlfriend and it was defective. It only heated up the water, but didn’t steep the tea at all.
Update. They replaced my tea maker for free and we love it and use it erryday

It's a great tea maker. Not having the leaves sit in the water makes a huge difference in letting the subtle flavors of your tea really come out. The stay warm feature means I don't have to microwave that second cup. Also a huge plus. And it's very easy to make hot water, which is what I drink all day. It loses points because of the pour spout which is very broad and makes getting tea into a travel bottle or something that is a big narrow a bit tricky. That could use some refinement. Also, it came to me slightly dented and scratched. Very slightly. Not worth returning to try again, but not in the pristine shape one would expect.

And this is a right-handed teapot. By this I mean that the markings are only on one side so if you handle the pot with your left hand you can't see the markings. One small change would mean so much.

Perfect for brewing, and getting a second cup nice and hot!

This thing is AMAZING! It brews well, holds heat well, and the ability to make just 20oz worth for a couple cups is fantastic. I'm a bit disconcerted about how quickly it discolors which makes me think the metal isn't very good and I really wish they would stop releasing teas with sprinkles if they can't be used in their signature products (although I found that in the questions, NOT the description). Still, the only other comparable product I found was the Breville for over twice the price so I'm one happy girl!

EDIT: Adagio staff has pointed out that their key feature is the water pumping from the base through the teas. After doing a larger search on amazon, they were ultimately correct, many drop the basket into the water or have the basket added later. For that reason, I am bumping my rating up a star. The 5 star kicker would be if I could tweak times and or temps as well as having a delay brew setting.

I want to say first, there are good and similar tea makers on amazon and other sites that do a good job for much cheaper. It is NOT the same process (see edit above) however. I bought this because I had enough points to cover the whole cost. For something I got essentially for free, it is AMAZING! Even for its cost, it's something that is just really, really nice. It has a good amount of room, keeps your tea warm, and brews many of my teas well.

It does NOT handle pearl or rolled teas well. For that, I use the heat only function and then brew as normal.

It also does NOT have a delay or adjustment button for temps and or times. This is disappointing since many adagio black teas recommend 3 minutes instead of 5. For an Adagio-brand maker, you d think they d include that.

Otherwise I am enjoying it well! If I were to buy one with cash money, I would perhaps look elsewhere or buy one of Adagio's cheaper kettles first.

I LOVE this product. It's so wonderful to be able to brew and pour my tea in one vessel. The reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the hot water only function does not work. By the time I discovered this, I had already used and enjoyed it so much that returning it just for that was not worth the effort.

I really like this but it would be so much better if we could set a custom steeping time. I realize that I can stop it early but I killed a pot of tea because I missed the stop time.

I love this tea maker. The steam creates the perfect brew.

At first, I was skeptical. I finally gave in and purchased a VelociTEA a few months ago and it consistently makes a great pot of tea. It works as advertised, and makes a nice cup of tea.

Excellent features that enhance the tea noticeably! Sometimes the circulation does not happen, so I need to restart the process, and the glass feels a bit delicate, but overall I'm happy with the purchase.

really great investment, I have like 8 cups a day and its easy to clean and easy to make

When mine came in I was in love with it immediately and used it often, but after about 3 weeks it started leaking water everywhere :(, Adagio gave me a full refund and I will probably get another one during the holidays.
Highly recommend this to anyone willing to spend the money, great product.

I have no idea what was I missing until I got this as a gift. It makes the perfect tea every time. It is so good that I got one for my daughter and one for my son.

Wonderful way to make non bitter teas and keep warm.

This is an easy machine to use...Makes quite a bit of tea for me to have. I like that it keeps it warm, I do wish that it stay on a bit longer than an hour...I feel like I have to chug my tea in order to not waste some of it. :)

Wonderful product. Makes tea making so easy. Has pre-programmed buttons for many types of teas which steamlines the process. I then turn my tea into iced tea. It's also great for just heating water.

As with most things, there are some thngs I love about this tea maker and some other things not so much. I love the ability to have the ability to make each type of tea at the best brewing temperature and for the proper steeping time. I already can taste the improved flavor of my teas. What I don't like is the size of the container. It seems so large to make a single large mug of tea or two. The base/heating element and the tea basket discolors with tea stain making the pot look dirty; however, the Adagio team informed it cleans easily with Magic Eraser which is true. I drink 3-4 cups of tea daily and love a variety of teas so having the ability to make a quick cuppa properly is something I really appreciate. I recommend this tea maker.
**5/22/2020. I am changing my review of this teapot because it no longer works. I have replaced the basket in it once and it needs replacing again. It no longer will shoot water into the basket for the stripping of the tea and that is not usable as a tea maker any longer. I expected the tea maker to last longer than it has. I will purchase a different tea maker in the future.
9/4/2020. This is the greatest company. They saw my review and asked me to send my tea maker back for repair or replacement. They replaced it and also gave me some tips in care. I LOVE Adagio Teas and Tea company

I m only giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish it had the ability to do custom settings. There are times I want it to steep longer and I have to start it over. But the thing that disappointed me the most was that the minimum water level is 12 ounces, not 8 like I thought. When I first got it, I was measuring one teaspoon because I thought the minimum was 8, and all my tea was coming out weak. Once I realized that the minimum was actually 12, I started putting more tea leaves in and everything tasted better. But this means that I can t use it with any of the portions packets or the CommuniTEA because those are premeasured for only 8 ounces. So for those, I just use it to heat the water and use a separate infuser. But that defeats the purpose of this tea maker.

What an amazing tea maker. It is quite enjoyable and simple to use. The only issue I have is that the tea lip isn't entirely smooth and prevents complete pouring.

While the VelociTEA worked, it was great. It was an incredibly convenient way to brew my tea daily, often multiple times a day. However, after about two months of use I noticed that there appeared to be smoke coming from the base and a strong burning smell. This issue persisted and I was forced to cease use of the tea maker for fear of an electrical fire starting. I reached out to Adagio about the issue and was informed that, as it was not a known manufacturer defect, it was not covered under warranty and so there was nothing they could do for me. I really liked the VelociTEA but I can't justify dropping another 100+ on something that could end up being a glorified paper weight in a couple months. UPDATE: As the warranty wasn't going to be honored anyway, I opened the base of the kettle to see if I could repair it myself as I have electrics experience. What I found was that a great deal of the plastic components had been melted and a wire that should have been crimped wasn't. I was able to cut back the damaged wire and crimp the wire as it should have been in the first place and the kettle works fine now. This was absolutely a manufacturing defect and I would recommend that anyone who has issues with the VelociTEA to stop using it immediately and contact Adagio as this defect in the wiring could have easily lead to a fire in my home.

I have been drinking tea everyday since 1998 and this makes the best tea I have ever drank. I have only owned this for 10 days and I feel like I can't live without this!

I love this dang thing so much. I own(ed) two other electric kettles already (one at home and one at work), but I saw this on sale when I was reordering some of my tea blends. I donated my kettle at home as soon as I trialed this kettle. Worth the money and no regrets. I need to get one to replace my kettle at work now.

I love this tea maker. It is very well built, easy to use, and makes exceptional tea. Just a couple items could use improvement. The big one is more flexibility in brew times and temperature is a must (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). The other minor gripe is I would love the measurements to be written on both sides of the pitcher.

This tea maker has completely changed how I make tea. I have yet to have a bitter cup using it. The infuser basket is very large, and allows the tea leaves to completely unfurl. One problem I have is that there is no way to set a custom time. Some of my teas require shorter steep times, and it really is an inconvenience to stop the cycle after a certain time. Other than that, this is an amazing tea maker

I love, love, love this tea maker! I looked at many tea makers before deciding on this one. I like that the buttons for different teas are clearly marked, and that the tea leaves don’t sit down in the water so the tea either gets too strong or you have to remove the tea leaves before drinking. This is a great design! I look forward to making my tea every day.

Love this and am questioning why I didn't buy this years ago. I've been using a tea pot and guessing at the temperature all these years. Tea maker is easy to use, easy to clean, and fast to brew. I put ice into my cup and make iced tea straight from the pot. Great for hot tea too. Highly recommend if you are a tea lover like me.

So...I got this for my dad for father's day, and he has NOT stopped drinking tea since. Now I'm house sitting, and I think I've only had tea since I've been here! The buttons make it super easy to use, and the pot keeps your tea warm, just in case. Also, props to Adagio for the beep feature...I'm always forgetting I put a pot on, but the beep ensures I never forget!

I absolutely love this kettle, super easy to use and really fast at making hot water. It personally doesn't make as strong of a cup of tea when it filters through the infuser, but I resolved that problem by allowing the tea to re-steep for an extra 2-3 times to get the bold flavor I like. Only downside is that the lip that holds the lid in place makes it hard to pour all of the water/tea out. On top of that if you leave water in it for a lil while it starts to get rust spotting. But other than that it works really well!

Absolutely fantastic tea maker - for all the different teas I drink. It is well worth the price and far superior to an eclectic kettle

Honestly I love this. I was recommended by a friend and I will never go back to another kettle!!!

So far this is great! I got it for my husband for his birthday/father's day and he loves it (and I love it too!) Perfectly brewed tea in just minutes. I think the tea tastes better than using an infuser in a mug!
