Heats up so fast a makes tea easy. I use this every day
This thing changed my life, I use it every day usually more than once! Highly recommend this product
Made my tea great for 7 months. I descaled it every so often to keep up with the upkeep but it it broke in 7 months. I emailed the company and they just told me to descale it and when I did it and it didn’t work they told me to get a different tablet. I love adagio and I want so badly to give this product another chance but I don’t think it’s worth it
Easy to use and makes delicious tea each time. Also, fun to watch the tea brewing
I love this tea maker. It is easy to use and each cup is perfect.
Love this tea maker. It turns my loose leaf tea into a set it and forget it situation. I can set it up and walk away. When I get back, I have perfect tea.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this teamaker. It makes it easy to brew perfect tea. And as a mother of three small kids, the keep warm feature is a life saver.
Highly recommend this tea pot. East to use and clean. Versatile for warming water or making a pot of tea.
I mainly use the heat only setting as the normal steeping doesn't let the tea sit in the water long enough. Basically it works great if you like flavored water.
Update: I gave this unit away as customer service could not help and it was wasting otherwise good tea. Bought a better and surprisingly cheaper unit on Amazon.
I love this tea maker! It doubles as a water kettle as well and it is super easy to use! I always have something brewing and it is super fast too!
Got my VelociTea maker a few weeks ago and am loving it! I love that I can select a button for the type of tea that I am making, so far it's been making the perfect cups of tea! Love it!
Unfortunately this Tea Maker has a lot of gaps and I can't really recommend it unless you brew a lot of tea matching the presets. And the return policy is abysmal. If you are in a tea of the month club like CommuniTEA, avoid this as it won't make your life easier. If you brew tea commonly that match the presets on this Tea Maker, it might not be a bad choice. But again if you aren't happy, the return policy is a turn off.
I looked at the VelociTEA maker as I was looking for something to automate my tea making a little bit more. I came from a variable temperature tea kettle that worked great until the glass broke. I then started to look at this.
Initial build quality is great. I tried out my Reindeer Fuel tea and it ended up being somewhat bitter. Now this could have been myself adding too much tea. However, the packet says 3-5 minutes for brew time and I realized I ran into the Achilles kneel of this product.
The tea kettle has preset temperatures and times. And if you have tea that doesn't match those presets, then you will be disappointed. For example, I'm in Communitea and while there are a lot that say 212 at 5 minutes. There are some that are 212 for 3 minutes. And the same deal with some herbals. There is herbal tea to where some say 10 minutes and the preset is 7 minutes.
The only workaround is to push the button to stop it from steeping. And that requires me setting a timer on my Alexa unit to go out there to push the button. But here is where it really adds to the complication. When it warms the tea up to temperature, it does one beep and it's not very loud. So what I have to do is be in the kitchen to hear that beep and then set a timer. Then go out there to manually push the button. Pretty much all my automation in this tea maker is gone if you don't have those presets. And with the CommuniTea, this can happen quite often to myself.
I was going to return this as I realized I wasn't getting any advantage on this over any other variable tea maker. I was thinking I could get a smart kettle connected to my phone to tell me about the temperature and I can throw in a tea ball and the timer. That way I get a little bit of automation with at least warming up the temperature.
However, this is where it goes from bad to ugly. The return policy is very abysmal. If I return this now, I have to pay $8.99 for shipping (unless I find a cheaper rate on my own) plus pay 35 percent return fee - even with the original box on something I used for only one day. I know the return policy is there on the site. However, I and I'm sure others don't really look at that. I get it Adagio is a smaller company and yes I can understand restock fees like 15 percent. But 35 percent in my opinion is ridiculous. All Adagio is doing here is alienate good customers and forcing people to use big box products like Amazon. And if I had to do it over again, I would have bought something like this on Amazon and that's really a shame as I like to support small businesses.
Love it wish I had it alone time ago. Highly recommend it
I have been drinking tea since before I could walk. My mother gave me tea in a bottle as a toddler. I was skeptical about this pot, but I have to say I think I have been drinking tea wrong for fifty years. I always knew that quality tea and proper temp and steeping were key to a good cup. Clearly I was doing it wrong, the first cup I brewed opened a new world of tea for me. WOW fabulous flavor, I’m hooked all over again. Great item highly recommend!
I love this for all my teas and hot water!! So easy just hit the button and go!
Bought this for college and have no regrets. Makes tea fast and more accurately than I ever could. Keeps it warm for an hour too!
I bough two of these. One for home, one for the office. My only complaint is if you drink tea all day, as I do, and you allow a full bodied black tea to stay in the pot, it stains quickly and the cleaning tablets adagio sells don’t really do the job. You have to scrub it. But otherwise, excellent pot.
2cd one owned. 2cd one broken. 3 months after buying. It’s a decent concept but doesn’t deliver.
A suggestion that made tea preparation a breeze so easy plus it makes a great non bitter or bite after brewing
I love this tea pot and use it almost everyday. My first one had an issue but I kept it and it actually fixed itself !!! Lol I used that tea pot for a couple of years until it got lost in my recent move. I can’t actually function without tea. So now I have another. Happiness.
Don't know how I survived without it! It's so easy to use, keeps tea at the right temp and brews it perfectly. I don't care for the hand washing part, although you don't wash good china in the dishwasher either, so a quick rinse does the job!
This tea maker is the BEST, didn't believe all the hype about how fast it warms the water...boy was I wrong. There is nothing I have bought from Adagio that I don't LOVE!!!
I love this tea maker. It is so convenient and easier to use.
Perfect for beginners - it makes it easy to have different temperatures for the different teas.
I love being able to make my tea at the perfect temperature and keep it warm for awhile. I wish there was a smaller version it is quite the pain to rinse out this big pitcher for a cup of tea or 2
Have used this several times since receiving a few days ago. Works like a charm and it’s been easy to use. Like that you are able to stop the brewing at a shorter time if you’d like. Also, like that there’s the ability to just heat water without brewing. Do wish the temps and times were separate.
The VelociTEA makes tea for dummies. Exactly as advertised.
I've had my VelociTEA for a couple weeks and it has been in constant use. It is so convenient to not have to stress about steeping times, water temperature, or keeping the tea warm. I'm a slow drinker so the fact that it stays at the perfect temperature for up to an hour is amazing. The only improvement I would make would be to have a feature to allow for custom steeping times and temperatures. However, this isn't a huge issue since you can always stop the brewing process early.
This is exactly as much effort as I want to spend on tea. It brews a bit strong, but that's fine. The filter is easy enough to clean out.
This tea maker has made my early mornings go so much more smoothly. I pour in the water and add the tea the night before and just choose the right brewing temperature and time in the morning, and like magic, I've got a pot of tea ready to go! I take a travel mug hot and pour some over ice in my Yeti for later in the day. The brewing process is fun to watch and it makes an excellent cup of tea. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
I bought this tea kettle to replace my different one that I had took a little while to get it just right but now it comes out perfect every time
I bought the Velocitea Maker about a month ago when it was on sale for Father's Day. It works great, I probably make 2 pots of tea a day. And every pot comes out perfect. Which wasn't always the case when I made it using a tea kettle, heated the water and steeped it myself
Update: July 2021: I have lowered my stars because suddenly the pump has stopped working. No, the 'heat only' was not on. I already unplugged it and re-plugged it in. I already descaled it 3 times and also tried Polident. The pump simply has stopped. I am hoping I can return it.
I like the fact that this tea pot has several different choices of preset temperatures to choose from. It will keep brewed tea at the proper temperature for up to an hour. It will also bring water to the chosen temperature without brewing and hold the temp for an hour. There is no way to brew a tea in the pot for a different amount of time than the preset though. You have to use the heat only setting and then brew in your own cup or mug. The percolating method of brewing tea seems to make it stronger and therefore allows you to use a little less of the tea leaves for the same amount of water.
I found the locking mechanism sometimes sticks and is difficult to remove the lid. This mostly happens if the inner basket is not in place in the pot. I bought this 3 weeks ago and the inner black ring is loose from me trying to get the lid off.
I am not sure it is worth the high price but it sure is convenient!
This is the best teapot I have ever owned. I can load my loose tea into the pot, add the water, press the button for the appropriate type of tea and let it go. It makes the most perfect tea every time. During the summer I make it hot, pour it in my cup, let it cool, and add ice. I am trying to figure out how to make some of the Adagio iced teas in here too. I love this teapot so much I just made my daughter order one.
I love this for making hot tea and for making iced tea. It's so easy to use and keeps my tea hot until I'm ready for my second cup in the morning.
LOVE THIS! I always have problems forgetting I have my tea steeping so this is perfect for me
I Love my VelociTea. It'd be nice if there were custom settings, however for most teas this is perfect. Add water, add tea, click timer and it'll be ready if I come back in 3-7 minutes (depending on tea) or if I get busy and don't come back for 30 minutes my tea isn't oversteeped.
It is everything we expected and more! So quiet and easy to use. We love it!
This is the best kettle I've ever had! Absolutely love being able to set it to the perfect temperature and steep time for any of my teas
I've only used it a couple of times, so far. It does what it says it will and seems to make good tea. I bought the high altitude edition. The description says that this is for above 3000 feet but I'm not sure what it does at 9200 feet.
Update: I've been using this for a while, now. I love it. Since I live at such a high altitude, I do add extra tea (if the bag says 'rounded teaspoons' I add heaping teaspoons.
It worked for almost exactly 1 year and then it quit brewing. It still heats up, but nothing goes thru the tire to the infuser. I really didn’t do anything to clean the works (descaling) so I’m going to buy another and hope for the best
Love the VelociTEA maker. I use it when I want to make a large batch of iced tea. Goes great with the Gourmet Iced Tea set.
Love this thing. Legit took the guess work of the constant thought of tea being brewed at weird temperatures away.
Its a bit of a hassle to clean when you use it quite frequently and you don't have like... the lime deposits (or whatever is used to clean off like... buildup of citrus and whatnot) to clean it out but once you follow the directions and get the thing clean? You will always love it. The heat system was a bit confusing but my boyfriend helped me with that so all in all? Would recommend if you're constantly ordering tea from the website.
I REALLY LOVE THIS THING! FOR A GREAT PRICE I GET TO ENJOY YUMMY TEA! :D Easy to use too!
So far it has been wonderful. However time will tell if it continues to work. I have tried different settings and all are fine at this point.
I had an issue with it not brewing and after contacting customer service, I cleaned it out with vinegar and now have a cleaner solution - and it has worked fine since. It makes wonderful tea every morning!
This tea maker is absolutely amazing! I never thought tea from Adagio could taste even better, but when it is brewed at the optimum temperature, it truly allows the proper flavor to come through. We bought one for our daughter at her college apartment and liked it so much we bought another for ourselves! Worth every penny!
This is the second VelociTEA I bought. I use it at the office. Different types of tea require different temperature settings and times to brew. If you brew green tea with a high temp for a long time, you will have bitter tea. This product will help you to brew your favorite tea correctly.
Just finished my first tea with this incredible addition to my teas. It brewed a perfect pot quietly and quickly and the flavour is awesome and pure! Thinking I should buy a second for my family of tea lovers!
Update Mar 2021 - I have now had 3 of these over three years and each has broken down with the pump being the main issue. I love the teamaker, but not worth the cost when you replace annually.
Sep 2020, an update - My first one stopped pumping the water after over a year, noting I use it multiple times a day. I replaced it earlier this year, now my second one is starting to struggle pumping the water.
Love this thing. I almost alway have two large mugs (15oz) every morning and the convenience of being able to make the tea all at once and having it stay hot for an hour is amazing. Pretty easy to clean.
How does anyone live without this-efficient, easy, and keeps tea warm for you for an hour. A must in every household that drinks tea.
I love this tea maker. I can make however many cups I want in the morning and know that it’s brewed perfectly.
I have had this for not quite a year, I used the descaling tablets I got and ended up with water all over the place and a base that didn’t work, got that fixed and as others have said it has stopped circulating the water through the basket. After brewing a pot I have only hot water and slightly wet tea leaves in the basket. I loved the convenience of brewing an entire pot of tea in the morning and keeping it hot but not sure if I will order another one. Might look into other options I also had the black plastic on the steeping basket break off, not necessarily a big deal as I was able to order a new basket but I really thought it should’ve lasted more than a year.
