I love being able to take loose leaf tea on the go even when I don't have time to wait for it to steep. It works marvelously, I just wish that it was a little bigger. However, the area where the loose leaves are kept is the perfect size and I received several compliments on it.
Per the directions you tip the bottle over after adding the water and tea infuser in the lid and you let it steep. Once I tip it back up right, the bottle leaks. Not a lot of fun having hot tea splash your hands. I use it as a container to take my already brewed tea.
Doesn't keep my tea warm as long as I thought it would.
I was pretty disappointed in this one. The rubber gaskets malfunctioned more often than not and it was a pain to get them to lay correctly in the lid and infusion basket part. It leaked more than it didn't. If you do get this, practice using it with cold water first, so that if you tip it and it leaks, you don't scald your fingers like I did. I accidentally tipped it over (empty thank goodness) onto a semi-hard surface and it shattered like someone had hit it with a hammer. It didn't even drop, it just tipped over and glass spewed everywhere. I won't be buying another one.
The basket which houses the teas is nice and small. The only drawback for me is that it't only 10oz. wish it were larger.
This was definitely a good investment as a beginner. Easy and affordable.
I think there's a bit of a learning curve with this, because I see that the infuser holes are suuuper tiny, but when I put tea in it and flipped the cup over to infuse, stray bits of tea leaves floated up. I can't imagine that the tea bits were too small. But the whole package is really nice, I'll just have to give it another go.
It's okay but I don't see myself using it much at all. but hard to clean
It works as well as expected. It feels sturdy and well built, and assembling and dissembling it is simple. However, when flipped (as per the instructions on the box), it leaks. Not a lot, but enough to be both a surprise and a bother. I've only tried it once so far, so it may have been screwed a little loosely...
activiTEA is awesome. I love it and take it everywhere. Sometime leaks from the lid though.. also not advised for small leaf teas unless you don't mind leaves in your cup.
it's always handy to have a nice travel mug, especially one that lets you have loose tea leaves right in it. I like how its just big enough to make a satisfying amount of tea and it keeps the tea warm for a good couple hours. The only problem i have is with the tea basket, the hole are just a little too large, and every tea I've made in it has had a few tea leaves fall through into the tea. kind of annoying.
The idea is good. And for someone who sit and doesn't actually do anything all day but type and pick up their mug, it is great. I work in medicine - I'm moving and carrying my caffeine liquid receptacles with me constantly so I can have my fix of sweet liquid energy in between patients. I had this for 2 days before the double wall apparatus snapped and it was rendered useless. No excessive force placed on it, I simply set it on the counter and it said 'nah, time to snap'. I was disappointed but Adagio was great about the refund process. I might try it again in the future - perhaps mine was just a fluke.
I LOVE using the activiTEA. I bring it to work every morning. It's easy to use, and easy to rebrew. It has a compartment at the top where the tea leaves go, which is separates from the bottle. All you have to do is turn it over at let the leaves absorb the water. Also, the glass bottle keeps the tea warm for quite a few hours, without making the tea boiling hot. Such a great buy!
What I love:
-easy to clean
-perfect size for me (it is a bit small, but I don't need a lot of tea)
-nylon strap is great
What I don't like so much:
-Despite the double layer of glass, it still gets REALLY hot. Too hot to hold at times.
-Like others, I have found that the filter is too loose a weave to stop all tea leaves from going through into the water.
-I find it hard to get a tight seal with the lid when I'm getting ready to flip it over. It usually takes me two or three tries, and I have had leaks when I don't get it right.
For me, the pros outweigh the cons on this one, but I could see how these things might be deal breakers for others. I love my activiTEA but I don't know if I would jump to recommend it to others.

activiTea is a very useful product to have. I take it with me to work, or anywhere else on the go. It keeps the tea warm for a few hours, but is not overly impressive. The main complaint I have, is the strainer holes are a bit too big to keep some teas in, but generally it is not bad. Overall, for the price and quality of this product, compared to others like it, this is a great buy. I would recommend it.
Update: This mug has broken, been replaced, and broke again a few times. When putting hot water in it, then tightening the lid, the glass just seems to crack. Although, this is the best tea tumbler I have found, the quality of glass is not there. I was told they will be getting a new shipment of them soon, I will try one and be glad to change my review accordingly.
I don't really use this much any more because I am a bigger fan of teabags now.
Very easy to use and very effective. However, I do wish it was a tad bit bigger.
It's a really convenient way for me to take my favorite teas on the go. I use it every day at work and I absolutely love it.
This thing is SO COOL. The insulated glass keeps it from getting too hot. It's a super convenient way to make tea on the go, especially if you're travelling and don't want to bring a bunch of tea instruments along with you. I usually just drink it with the lid off completely. It's great for saving leaves and re-brewing during the day.
I purchased this for my boyfriend, who I have since stolen it back from because I love it! I'm starting to get my parents into loose leaf tea, and this is perfect for serving more people! Simple, easy, and fast to use makes it great for someone, like me, who is just learning about tea to make a good cup or three!
I like to use this in the morning on the way to the bus, excellent for busy students!
This is PERFECT. There was another travel tea infuser that apparently is a top seller, but this appealed to me more. I like that it's glass, so it's very easy to clean. It looks sleek and sophisticated. The infusion method is very clever design.
I have to have a clear container for work and this is perfect! My tea always stays warm and I love having a spot to brew tea inside it.
I used it for the first time this morning and tried a rooibos tea with it - although the holes in the strainer are large and some tea got through I managed to steep it with minimal 'tea escape'. I've never had a tea strainer that was adequate for steeping fine-leaf tea. I would buy another strainer for this if a finer mesh one became available. I also suppose I didn't screw the lid on tight enough because as I had it turned upside down to steep, it began to leak after several minutes. Maybe a rubber gasket inside the lid would prevent leakage on a container that is meant to be turned upside down (such things are found on leak proof water bottles). That being said, I have hot tea in a container now ready to go out the door, so ActiviTEA's function is adequately served.
It gets the job done I guess. You can only put in a few leaves though to leave room for them to bloom which means the tea can taste weak. It does leak sometimes as well. It's good for holding hot liquids though if you want to make tea first and then add it in!
I love this to make matcha on the go. It really helps me stay on track with my matcha routine on days that are crazy. I just sift it through into the container, and vigorously shake the bottle. I refill it with bottle water to clear out any matcha residue and to get any remaining amounts left on the wall.
I love the activiTEA! I rarely brought tea to work with me before, but do so now several times a week with the activiTEA. I will note that both rubber seals were in the top cap when it arrived, which I didn't notice at first, and thus it leaked terribly the first couple of times I tried it. Upon investigation, I realized the rubber seal on the infuser part of the cap was missing, and after moving one of the two from the top cap and placing in the infuser part, it's worked perfectly.
It's very aesthetically appealing to look at and the strap definitely is a plus in accessibility. The only thing I have to say about it though is that it does not keep my tea warm as long as I want it to. Typically, it'll keep it warm for an additional 2 hours or so before getting too cold.
I LOVE IT. My only issue is that it leaks a bit if you don't seal it tightly enough.
I bring this to work with me (I work in an office) and it's great for on-the-go people to make tea throughout the day. I love it!

I love the idea of this product. It is nice to have something to take my tea in that will keep it warm. (I drink my tea slow and it always gets cold) I am, however, disappointed with the infuser. Most of my teas have fine parts to them and with the metal infuser they are in my tea every time. I would love to see a mesh infuser added to this or the ability to replace the metal one.
Quick trick. You can pop the metal one out and place a coffee filter in over the metal infuser. It helps.
The tumbler is very heavyweight. I fear breaking it when using the strap. The Strap gets wet every time tea leaves are rinsed from diffuser. Once diffuser is removed it's difficult to keep up with. Perhaps the ability to store the diffuser in the lid after brewing could be engineered.

I loved this thing!! Only wish it was made of some other more durable material. I had it not 4 days and then I dropped it and it shattered everywhere :(
It is a very good heat,maintans the rigth temperature to enjoy a delicious tea,the only thing is that is made of glass and has to look much more to avoid breakage soon.
Great glassware for tea. I keep this on my desk at work and don't worry about spills
I like this brewer because the chamber where the liquor resides for the most time is made of glass. However, the brew chamber is maybe too small to let the leaves expand adequately.
I get compliments on this all the time. Haven't broken it yet!

I use my activiTea at work. It keeps my tea warm for quite a while and I love that I can take it with me without spilling. The only bad thing is that the strainer holes are way too big and I end up with quite a large amount of tea leaves getting through. If they fix the strainer issue this would be the best thing ever.
This is the perfect solution for portable tea! I enjoy a lot of iced tea and the activiTEA works brilliantly. The size is perfect for both hot or iced and feels comfortable in my hand. It also looks great at my station at work. A product! A must buy!

I drink my tea during the commute to work. I didn't notice it didn't come with a sipping lid. I thought about returning it. But it costs $8.95 to ship back a $19.00 product, so I kept it.
I love using this on the go especially with me trying to cut down on sugar laced soda. I'm sad that the mate tea does go right through the holes but my other tea does work with it well. Turns out some people were trying to find something like this too. ^^
This is the perfect size for travel, it fits in my purse and will go anywhere.
Really neat tea infuser perfect for on the go. The only problem is that holes on the strainer are so big you always end up with half the leaves in the tea!
