I love this product. It's great for those of us who like loose leaf tea, but don't have enough time in the morning to brew a cup. I use this on my commute and am able to have fresh tea everyday.
My only negative is that you have to wash the tea off of the lid if you want to use it after taking out the infuser because there is no barrier between the two. Not a huge issue, but something to note.

Its a good idea but still needs work. The container was smaller that i expected and it does not keep your tea warm very long. In order to infuse your tea you must turn the container upside down and wait at least 3 minutes. In my opinion it wasnt long enough. The big issue was the holes in the infuser seemed to be too big and let a lot of loose tea through.

I rely on this heavily at work. when a colleague knocked mine over and cracked it, I had to rush order a new one!

Bought for a friend and she loves it, makes a great gift idea.

This is the second time I've owned this cup! It's so convienent and gets looks and questions everywhere I go!! Everyone else loves it too when I explain to them how it works! I misplaced my original so I'm ordering another because I can't live without it at work! Awesome cup!

Was really excited to get this, but was kind of disappointed in the capacity. I was going to use it as a travel mug, but it doesn't hold enough to get me to work in the morning. It dos keep the beverage warm though.

Perfect. I wanted to drink more tea to enhance my healthy diet, and I've hardly left home without out this. I recommend this to everyone, and the quality of this product makes me want to buy all of Adagio's teaware.

This tumbler works great for on the go hot tea. I only wish the infuser had finer holes to keep finer tea leaves inside the infuser.

I absolutely love this travel mug. It has a tea steeper built in, which is ingenious and means that as long as I carry my looseleaf tea with me, anywhere I can get hot water, I can have a cuppa. Some of the finer looseleaf teas do 'escape' from the steeper though, but it's not to the point where I mind. This is definitely now my favorite travel mug! It does insulate the tea for a long time, and I think it would do well for steeping and then cooling for an iced tea.

This item looks good, but what it does best (most?) is make a mess! It's constructed so that you flip it over, bottom-side up, to put the hot water in contact with the tea leaves. This persistently causes drips and mess when I flip it back over, right-side up, and open the top. A couple of times it practically spurted hot liquid all over my hand and the table! The infuser also does not keep small pieces of tea leaves out of the liquid when drinking. So far, the best (and neatest) way I've found to use it is to stick a tea bag in with the hot water and drink with the infuser on so I don't get a mouth full of tea bag. I don't hate it, but I also don't love it, and I probably won't use it very often. I'd really like to just return it. I can't recommend this item.

A good tea set for anyone who travels. I t is especial good for times you have to stay in a hotel.

So, I actually got this for my sister, twice. The first time, the container exploded, most likely due to an issue with hot water mixing with a cold exterior. (this was during winter). The second time, my sister dropped it and the mouth of the container shattered. It steeped the tea well and kept the tea hot, but the container itself just isn't sturdy. I do have to say, that adagio's customer service is great. When the product exploded, they agreed to replace the product even though our purchase date was past the usual time allotted for exchanges and refunds.

Keeps tea warm, easy to use. Wish it was bigger to hold more tea.

This a very convenient way to have a thing of tea especially for on the go.

I knocked off a star on this review only because I wish they made a bigger version of this... Well, that and a protective sleeve to pull over the glass. The strainer is great and, true to the description, this tumbler did not leak at all when I turned it over to steep the tea upside down. Smaller than your average coffee tumbler. I do appreciate that it's dishwasher safe.

I use this every morning to steep as I get ready for work. Just set the kettle to heat while I brush my teeth, pick the tea while I comb my hair, pour the water in as I let the dog out, then stick it upside down in my cup holder on the way to work. By the time the first song on the radio is finished I have a nice cup of tea. Its also great for my meeting days when I have a tenancy to start another cup just before a meeting without realizing. With this I can just steep as I walk and enjoy the tea throughout the meeting instead of having to wait until its over. I love this thing!

I said good only because I think there is some room for improvement when it comes to the strainer/infuser. This is a on the go mug...I won't always have a place to put the basket when drinking. So, I just leave the strainer and remove whole lid. Still tastes good.

I need to point out that I like to watch my tea brew, hence the reason I chose to review as I did. The brew basket works well too, no leakage when the Brewer is inverted to allow steeping. I will likely use the basket as a strainer when I sip tea as I don't get bitterness from leaving leaves alone in the bottom of the cup. I absolutely love this new thermal tea infuser mug/cup!! Perfect size for me to enjoy a cuppa tea, whenever, easy to hold, keeps tea hot for a long time to enjoy, no leaf leakage into the sipping chamber, fun to watch the tea leaves do their dance. I just may need to order another! All parts are easy to wash, I would never think of putting this in the dishwasher. Sleek design, I love everything about it. I see this being my main method for all my loose leaf tea brewing.

This is a great accessory, if you love savoring your favorite tea during the day. (Wish it were a bit larger.)

My first time with a tea tumbler and I love it. I was a bit skeptical at first because I saw that some people kept mentioning leaking, but if you have the cap on appropriately this is not a problem. Lastly, it is really easy to clean out the mesh top and has now become a thing that I love to brew tea in.

This mug is fantastic, the best loose leaf tea much I have used and I have tried many.

Works well and makes a nice cup of tea. However for a daily commuter it is a bit too fragile. I've broken two by accident from minor bumps. Once in my backpack and once when it tapped the side of my car. To improve, a rubber outer shell would protect this great concept from occasional or accidental roughness.

I'm very disappointed in the product. It leaks no matter how much I tighten the lid. The infuser is to small and I continuously get tea leaves in the glass. I bought one for me - and one as a gift - needless to say I'll be buying a different gift - because I can't give this to someone knowing how poorly this product is designed. Others have said it doesn't leak if you tighten the lid enough - well I'm no 90 pound weakling -and no matter what it not only leaks - but also scalds my hand when hot water leaks out as I turn it over. This is going in the garbage.

I absolutely love this and keep it at work now so I can enjoy my loose leaf teas. I see quite a few people wishing it was larger and plastic so I can do a comparison. Another company does make a very similar product out of BPA free plastic in a larger size with the infuser hanging in the lid. I find this smaller glass product from Adagio much better. My comparison with other brand's larger plastic product: my Adagio's glass activiTEA prevents it from staining (plastic stains), does NOT retain flavor of previously made teas or beverages (plastic product does that), it retains the heat significantly longer than plastic, and cleans/sterilizes much better than plastic. I find that Adagio's glass product is superior to the other brand's plastic larger tea infuser/mug.
I do prefer the smaller size of Adagio's activiTEA as I would prefer to make another cup of tea rather than have one large cup in case I can't finish it. I do have a loose leaf tea that is a bit large (white symphony) and am able to fit it in the infuser. Since this only makes around 8 to 10 ounces of tea, I only need a small amount of leaves in the infuser lid. I also love the design of flipping it over so I can make smaller amounts if I choose. The other product must be filled with water to the top in order for the infuser to be submerged and it made me feel like I was wasting tea. Adagio's flipping method allows you to use either the whole glass of water or a smaller amount if you choose. The only thing I worry about is the glass and remembering to be gentle. So far, no problems. I have used it several times this past weekend at home and now have it at work where I have used it several times. No mishaps. Mine has not leaked either. The glass remains easy to handle temperature wise even when very hot water is inside (I steep all my teas under 212 so have not filled it with water at 212). I highly recommend this product if you love your loose leaf teas. I also highly recommend this product over the competition's larger plastic product (which I now only use for hot chocolate because the flavor is 'stuck' in the plastic).
One last note, my first activiTEA arrived cracked and I was very impressed with Adagio's return/exchange procedure. Very easy and very quick. Adagio is a wonderful company with great products.

I highly encourage everyone to get this product. I don't go anywhere without it I love it so much. It keeps your tea hot for hours and allows you to make a cup whenever and wherever you are.

This was given to my son. He uses it all the time. Wonderful gift.

I loved this mug while I had it. Unfortunately, I broke it shortly after ordering (no defects to the mug just my own clumsiness) and did not get to use it long. If you are clumsy like me, you might want to consider skipping this item and buying something plastic instead. Other than that it was wonderful and made great tea.

Let me start by saying customer service has been great about answering my questions by email on this product.
As noted by other users, it does have a tendency to leak in the inverted position needed for brewing, therefore is a bit temperamental to use. But it is a nice, relatively convenient combination of brewing/drinking vessel to keep at work. And everyone at the office will want to know what the heck it is when they see it on your desk.
Recommended if you like to tinker with the process.

Got my husband this to use for work. It's really nice and convenient for brewing on the go or at work. The small steeper doesn't really have room for the leaves to float around as much, but that's obvious by the design of the mug. It's great for it's purpose but I wouldn't use it at home to brew.

Another gift for a friend and they ADORED it! They tend to use it to keep their tea hot and have had no issues, very sturdy. And when not used for tea, they keep their water in it and love how cold it stays. Most likely going to be getting more in the future as more gifts.

I bought this for my grandmother for Christmas and she loves it. Even with hand problems, she finds it easy to use and it keeps her tea hot for ages. Very happy with it.

Love this, makes a great copy of tea. Bought one for my son as well, who also loved it, but it rolled off his seat in the car and the inner glass shattered, but is looking to replace it as he liked it so much.

This is wonderful. Its glass so you dont have to worry about the plastic.

I love being able to take my loose leaf tea to work! The newer filter basket is perfect for all kinds of tea and the double-wall construction keeps my tea warm for a long time.

Heat felt like it was lost after 30 minutes to an hour. Cool design and idea. Have gotten compliments on it. Would recommend to a friend.

The activiTEA is great! One thing though: even with the smaller holes in the basket, there are still pieces of leaves and rooibos that get through, With the rooibos, I guess that's to be expected, though.

Great product to take along when traveling as well as a few pouches of loose tea. Can brew your tea anywhere

I really love this, it's made it easier to drink more unsweetened tea and less soda while I'm at work. Just make sure you put the lid on tight before you flip it upside down!

Originally got this for my sister for Xmas, I may need to get one for my self! Durable glass and a really pleasing aesthetic.

Just received my activiTea and had to try it out this morning. I love how convenient this is to use. I just need to make sure I have the lid sealed well before flipping it upside down. Twice this morning, I didn't seal it right and it leaked a bit when it was first flipped.

I love this product. It fits in my hands very nice. I wish it was a bit larger though.

I like this little thing because it is so convinent. Though there are a few things wrong with it, such as it being TINY. It is WAY smaller than you think it is (10 oz is only 2 oz more than a regular US cup.). Though that's not bad because I don't drink a lot of tea at a time anyway.

You do have to be careful when opening the bottom lid, as hot water can spill out. The little strainer, tea holder is also hard to pull out if you over fill it too much.. As well as the junction where the two sections of glass meet can get very hot. Other than that it's a fantastic idea! I take it everywhere with me.

This definitely gets the job done. You have to be careful with it, since it's glass. It isn't something you can carelessly toss in your bag or anything like that, but the infuser has given me no problems (I read a lot of reviews complaining about it, but mine has worked just fine!) and it hasn't leaked either! I wish something like this was available here made of a less fragile material, just for practicality's sake. However, it is what it is and I don't really have any complaints about the product.

This device is ok but it is difficult to learn to use it without it leaking.

Just used my activiTEA for the first time this evening and I'm already in love. My biggest concern was that it was going to get too hot to hold and let me just write that fear away for any of you similarly concerned. Its the perfect temperature to hold even with recently boiling water poured in. My only complaint is that its a little bit smaller than I anticipated, but it does hold plenty of tea, and I think its going to take a few tries to figure out how to flip it back upright without spilling anything.

Update: I used this thing everyday for a week and was in complete bliss. And then, yesterday afternoon, something terrible happened. My activiTEA mug fell a whopping 2-3 inches on to a stair, and the inner chamber shattered into a million tiny pieces and in so doing, shattered my heart. Now, Adagio is being A and sending me a new one free of charge, and I am very grateful, but I feel as though that's a problem that should be fixable, particularly because the outer glass wasn't so much as scratched. I will admit to not having the solution, but I hope there is a way to make the inner chamber stronger/shock resistant, because sometimes things drop and break and its just really sad.

Small tea particles seep though while brewing but otherwise overall a great choice UPDATE: fell in the sink with the cap on and shattered at the neck. It served its purpose well so I'm ordering another

Good size, feels solid candy be use with smaller loose teas because the holes on the infuser part are a little big, but all around I loved it.
