★★☆☆☆

I use it to steep tea continually in the bottle, so I just use the basket as a filter so leaves don't get in my mouth. It works perfectly for that purpose.

---

Unfortunately I am forced to change my review. My second activiTEA tumbler broke after only a month and a half. It was never dropped or exposed to any abuse. It simply shattered while I was unscrewing the cap to drink the (lukewarm) tea. When I emailed Adagio to enquire after this, they informed me that glass simply breaks sometimes after being exposed to extreme temperatures. This is completely understandable, but I certainly wasn't led to believe by the product description that the product was that fragile. In any case, I won't be purchasing another activiTEA tumbler.

★★★★★

I love this tea bottle. Yes the infuser does let a small amount of tea leafs through but that is ok for me. The bottle is very portable and very easy to use and clean. I use it out of the house and in the house. Thinking of buying a second one just to leave at work.

★★★★☆

I loved it, I don't drink much tea cause I'm lazy. But this made it so easy, I just kept reusing it and I was drinking a lot of tea; it was great! Then it broke. I'm a bit clumsy so I didn't expect it to last forever but I don't even know what I did. I was sitting in a car, drank some, put the cap back on and held it, then I went to open it to drink some more and there was just the crunch of glass sliding against itself. This was the best tea maker I've ever had, but it didn't even survive a week. I wish it wasn't glass. It kept my tea hot for hours and the filter has the finest mesh.

★★★★★

Much easier than trying to use a coffee travel mug that isn't equipped for tea specifically. Keeps tea really hot.

★★★☆☆

I really liked this at first. I didn't have problems with it leaking, except for one time when I forgot to tighten the lid enough, and the strainer was about the same as most of my other tea strainers--a few leaves always get through, so that doesn't bother me. Unfortunately, I only had it for about a month before it broke. When tightening the lid, the glass seam cracked. I know it's glass and I expected that it was going to be a bit delicate, but honestly it shouldn't break after a few weeks of careful use. I really liked the glass because some other containers I've used in the past (plastic and metal) gave a weird taste to the tea, but it looks like I'm going to have to go back to one of those.

★★★☆☆

It's great in theory, but glass is just NOT the best material for this kind of thing. My activiTEA cracked around the rim only a few weeks after I got it. If it came in stainless steel or some other sturdy material I'd be all over it, but until then, I'll pass. Also, the infuser could be better. The mesh is good, but there are large holes where tabs are to keep it in place, and large bits of your tea get out through the holes. I'd highly recommend getting the toasTEA instead.

This was awesome. Wish it were bigger. It didn't keep the tea hot for hours but, i didn't care. Have to reorder bc my cat knocked it to the floor.

★★☆☆☆

I’m disappointed I bought activiTEA. It broke after daily use for less than a month due to a poor design. A longer infuser would put the tea into the hot water, eliminating having to turn the unit upside down, which also risks leakage. Upside down, it’s top-heavy, and mine fell over and the outer part cracked. I have other borosilicate glass teaware, am careful with it and have had it for years. This tea maker was not carefully thought out for ease of use for its future purchasers.

★★★★★

I love it. Works great, easy to have tea anywhere and very easy to clean. I found an easy and inexpensive way around the large hole basket. I purchase an screened tea ball that is the same size as the basket removed the hinge and it fits perfect. Now I can use any type of tea leaves.

★★★★☆

I really love how simple this makes brewing tea and the convenience for travel, but I did find it a bit messy. The lid never fails to leak tea everywhere when I take it off after flipping it over and it's hard to get the leaves out. Overall though, I really enjoy it.

★★★★★

I use this everyday and have had so many people ask me where I got it. Some teas that are very fine do get through the filter, but that doesn't bother me personally. Convenient and well made.

★★☆☆☆

I've had this for 3 weeks and used it most days and find a problem with it leaking. It seems a little better if you flip it slowly but it's still highly inconvenient when you're pouring hot water and having it leak out of the cup.

It is true that the tea leaves slip out from the diffuser as well, even with bigger leaves.

The cup itself is sturdy and insulates well. Overall, however, there are too many problems and I would not recommend it. There are better options out there.

★☆☆☆☆

I wouldn't recommend getting this. I had to shake it to get the tea leaves to steep and also you have to make sure the cap is on tight otherwise you get scalded with hot water.

Love this! I use it both for home and on the go since it keeps my tea warm! The mesh is good for all tea.

★★★★★

I was very skeptical due to other reviews saying it leaked and that the filter wasn't fine enough for some teas. I just used mine for the first time and it worked perfectly! No leaks and the filter worked great! I'm definitely going to buy more as gifts for friends and family.

★★★★★

I've been looking for a travel mug that didn't force me to steep my tea for the entire time I drink it! Keeps it nice and hot for a long time too.

★★★★★

I love this! I usually like mild teas, and the fact that I can see how strong the tea is makes it so that I know exactly when to take the infuser off. I just wish it held more volume!

★★★★★

Love it it keeps the tea warm for hours. But like everyone else mentioned the filter holes are a little large so it's better for larger leafed teas.

★★★★☆

Vert handy and beautiful. You have to be careful in screwing on the top or it will leak even though it appewars properly seated.

★★★★★

This is my favorite to-go cup! I love the ability to see the color of my tea when I drink it, but I also love to drink tea on the go. This container gives me the best of both worlds! It is durable enough to take anywhere and keeps all my teas warm for hours!

★★★☆☆

This worked for awhile, but like others have said, the infuser does let some leaves through. Also, since it's glass, it's easy to break (which sadly is what I just did).

★★★★★

I have been using this for a couple of months and have found it to be really great. Being able to brew loose tea easily, with easy clean up is a real plus for me. I take this to my office where I do not have a full kitchen, and then bring it home for a spin in the dishwasher, which works out much better than my teapots and cups. The only consideration is that the glass gets quite hot, so I made a sleeve for mine.

★★★★★

I have to admit--this thermos gets more comments, and compliments--than most of the other items I sometimes carry when I travel. It's a great way to carry tea, but I had to make a padded cover for it. I tend to break things...

★★★★★

Great to take to the health club. Use it on the side of the pool.

★★★★★

I've had this for 1 day and I've already drank 3 different teas from it. It makes re-infusing so easy, and as much as I love my tea infuser for my mugs, this is just so much more portable and convenient. Because I've only had it for 1 day, I can't comment on its durability. I'll update this review if it breaks in the upcoming months.

★★★★★

I love this travel mug! I take it everywhere I go. I especially like that it is made of glass which prevents liquid from getting between the walls (if that makes sense). I've had that problem in the past with plastic and metal ones.

★★★☆☆

I love the activiTEA in theory. But in practice a glass thermos is not practical. The glass is way too thin, I have already broken a couple of these. It does a good job of steeping and keeping the tea warm but it is way too fragile to take with anywhere other than your house.

★★★★★

This is so convenient and I have been using it every day. With a toddler I was convinced it would get broken but it actually holds up pretty well!

★★★★★

I got this product just the other day and have used it numerous times. It works great. I've not had any problems with it.

★★☆☆☆

As a long-time drinker of Adagio's loose leaf teas, I was excited when I ordered the activiTEA because finally I would have a thermos specifically made for brewing loose leaf tea. At this point I've had my activiTEA for a couple months now, and while I can say that I like the strainer built into the lid, I do have some issues with the thermos itself. In my opinion, a good thermos should do two things: 1. keep your beverage hot/cold for at least 3 hours and 2. have a leak-proof cap for when I'm tossing it into my bag on my way to work. Maybe others have had different experiences, but the activiTEA does not do either of these this things for me very well. I notice that my boiling hot tea has cooled off significantly and approaches a lukewarm temperature after just two hours (compared with my old Contigo that kept my tea steaming hot for 2 hours), even with the cap on. In addition, sometimes the cap will leak if turned at too extreme of an angle, as sometimes happens in my bag on my way to work (even though I am careful to make sure it is placed snugly upright in my bag). I really wanted to love the activiTEA but it's two major flaws--lack of heat retention and cap leakage--have made me consider purchasing a tea-brewing thermos from another seller.

★★★★★

Purchased this for my niece for Christmas. She uses it every day.

★★☆☆☆

I just got my Activitea delivered. First impression: it's smaller than I expected. It does say 10 oz in the product description, so shame on me for not paying closer attention to that, but I was expecting something more the size of a normal water bottle. First batch of tea: a couple tea leaves got out into the bottle somehow. Not sure if it was carelessness on my part, but I see some other reviews saying the holes on the infuser are too big. Then, after I flip it upside down to infuse, I set it on the counter and walked away. I came back seconds later to see it leaking all over the counter. I unscrewed the infuser and lid and screwed them back on again and it didn't leak again, but now I'm nervous because I see other reviewers saying that it leaks every time. Lastly, after steeping the instructions tell you to remove the infuser and lid and then attach the lid directly to the bottle. Great! Except, the lanyard (which is way too small for most guys and probably a good number of women to use anyway) is attached to the infuser, not the lid! I was going to give this product 3 stars, but after thinking about the cost of the product I've decided it only deserves two. Not so bad that I'll ask for a refund, but definitely would not buy again.

★★★★★

I actually use this to make cold brewed tea more than hot. Most typically, I leave it in the fridge overnight, but will make sure with brewing it for an hour or so before I get to work. I'm not having any of the leaking issues people are having, but DO recommend that it be hand washed instead of in a machine due to the delicate basket and lid parts.

★★★☆☆

I like the way this looks, but I can't pretend I'm not disappointed that it's a bit of a pain to actually drink the tea. I see three choices when drinking: (1) remove the leaves entirely before you drink. (2) unscrew the entire non-glass section and drink from there. (3) Put the leaves inside the glass section and increase risk of over-steeping. The competition has a much uglier product that puts another filter above the leaves, so you can just remove the cap and drink, as I expected this would allow. It's still fine, but not as convenient as expected.

★☆☆☆☆

Leaked each time I tried using it. Good in theory, poor design.

★★★★★

I am really glad i purchased this, almost didnt since it is lightweight glass but i followed some of the reviews and turn it upside down to steep. It did not leak as some have experienced.

★★☆☆☆

This is a 5 star idea but it just doesn't work out. I can't get this to seal correctly. I always seem to manage to having boiling hot water spewing out at the caps.

★★★★☆

I do like this Idea for the travel bottle the starp makes it so easy to carry and it does keep my tea warm for longer then in my tea cups.

The activiTEA travel infuser is awesome! I also purchased the glass mug and infuser combo that I use at work daily. This traveler is perfect for filling up and taking on the road. I load my favorite loose tea in the top, fill with hot water and flip upside down. A couple of shakes later and I have the perfect infused tea!

I think I have finally gotten the hang of getting the lid on just right so that it does not leak when I turn it upside down, but I still place it on a saucer with a paper towel just in case. I would have rated it great if I hadn't had the leaking problems.

I am not sure of a strap on a glass container - I can just see it swinging and smashing into something. I also do not like packing it loose while I travel. I carry case would be nice. I am using its box until the box wears out.

★★☆☆☆

This was good in theory but I must have gotten a faulty product. Mine leaked everytime unfortunately. I read so many great reviews so I was very surprised

★★☆☆☆

It's a nice idea, and I like that it is all glass. The first one I ordered had a malformed filter, and it leaked like crazy. Adagio replaced it with a new one, and I figured the leaking issue would be fixed, because the filter has extremely fine holes, and I drink a lot of rooibos, which is a very fine-leaf tea. BUT, this thing still leaks like crazy!! You can't hold it any way other than totally upright. It's good that I'm only planning on using this at my desk at my office, and not using it to actually go anywhere during any active use (I mean, activity is IN THE NAME), because then I would have super hot tea all over my person. If you are curious, tea leaves do sneak through the filter, even larger ones, but the main issue is liquid coming out of the lid. I think there is a gasket issue in the design. It's a shame, Adagio!

I'm with the other reviewers about the need for a deeper basket, but if you just follow the directions, it does a great job. My husband takes this with him on his business trips and for his drive in to work. He loves it.

This is one of the best portable tea infusers I've used. I've had a plastic one that had the top come apart, and while still usable, it was cheap. This one is solid and doesn't have any of the issues. It's well made and the glass is double walled and insulates amazingly well.

★★★★★

i extremely love these cup. just wish they where a bit biger.

★★★★★

I was reluctant to purchase this vessel due to poor reviews attributed to the holes in the infuser being to big, thus allowing finer teas to fall through, but Adagio teas fixed that issue. it works like a dream even with thin Yerba mate.

★★☆☆☆

Unfortunately mine leaked every time I turned it over to brew the tea, so I returned it.

★★★★☆

I was very very happy with this mug, and took it everywhere with me. Great for steeping loose leaf on the go, however it would've been nice if the basket had a grate on the top so that the lid didn't get covered in leaves. I never had any leaks. Unfortunately mine broke after 2 weeks of use, after being bumped of the counter (~1 meter) it shattered. I would like it if the outter-wall were made of polycarbonate so it wouldn't shatter so easily.

★★★★★

I enjoy using my ActiviTEA every day at college. Its soothing to drink your favorite tea in class, helps me focus. My only complaint is that the strainer's holes are too big. Even some of the bigger leaves can get into the tea. Besides this the thermos works great. Easy to steep and not too bulky so its easy to store when you're done. I love that its dishwasher safe too!

★★★★☆

I really like this tea cup...It is glass so that is a plus. It will not shatter when bumped. I wish the lid was a little better, sometime when trying to get the lid off both lids twist off, which is why I gave it a good not great rating.
