Following the 2011 Japan earthquake, a number of my college's organizations teamed up to raise money for those affected via making a 1000 cranes. The cranes themselves were to be sent to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. However, many donators wanted their own cranes, so I began making many many smaller ones with extra paper I had. Having cranes covering my desk during my last semester was a treat.
