When the Wicked Queen failed to slay the fair Snow White with the corset and poisoned hair comb (and, really, she should stop letting strangers into her house...), the Queen poisoned an apple.
Snow White was wary, this time, but the crisp-looking apples were too tempting. The Queen had cleverly poisoned one side, so she took a bite, and offered it to Snow White...who fell into deep sleep such as to be mistaken for death.
