A tea blend that reminds Warden Commander Vaelyn Surana of the Elfroot Tea her Dalish mother made her when she was young. Bright and sharp on its own, guaranteed to help snap your brain out of a fog. With milk or cream its flavor gains more of a depth and some of the sharpness is mellowed, making it reminiscent of the woods at the beginning of fall outside Lothering. With sugar and milk the whole tea is evened out, starting bright and fading to the slight bitterness from the black tea on your tongue after you've swallowed followed by the soothing aftertaste of spearmint.

Though it is referenced countless times in both the Dragon Age games and books, the incredibly versatile and well known Elfroot has yet to actually have it's flavor described. There is a lot of theories and opinions, but other than one older recipe on Bioware's blog, there isn't a single canon description of it's taste or flavor that I can find.
So this is my best attempt at trying to nail down a logical and fitting facsimile of what Elfroot tea would taste like when brewed in Ferelden by a worn out Grey Warden looking for some comfort in a war torn world.
I tried to make something that was soothing, but not sweet, and had that depth of flavor that well respected ancient remedies tend to have. A bit sharp and almost bitter, a bit of woodsy green and herb, with the bright buzz of spearmint (which is much less in your face than peppermint).
