Shardik, one of the twelve guardians of the Beam, and the opposite of Maturin, is one of the first enemies the ka-tet must face as a group. Decrepit, old, and rotting, this beast towers over the trees and guards his dominion with the help of his thinking cap, despite his expiring power bank. I chose rich flavors to accent the nature part of this guardian, a green woodsy and dark tone, given where he resides and his state when the ka-tet runs into him. Enjoy!
