I thought the vanilla flavor was just right, and for someone that doesn't really take to rooibos like me, it really helped make the tea more approachable, mellowing the rooibos flavor on the tongue and giving it a nice sweet warmth.
I recommend this one... plain or with cream or with cream and sweetener.
I never had rooibos before and I thought I would give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised by the smoothness of the tea, but I think I will stick with black teas.

this tea just tastes weird to me. I like it blended with other teas, but by itself it's not all that great.
Smells like cake flavored vodka or the cheap icing you get for cakes! It's a great addition when blending teas. It's a very subtle vanilla flavor.
I got this tea from an Adagio promotion, and as my first time trying a Rooibos outside of a blend, I am blown away. This tea has a really nice flavor iced. It isn't quite sweet but it isn't bitter either, and I can definitely taste the vanilla. I could see some people liking this with a little sugar, but I think it is great as is.
I received the iced pouches as a reward, so I really didn't know if I would like it. I love it! I don't add any sweetening agent to my pitcher of iced tea. The vanilla flavor is soft and yummy, and I always like the flavor of rooibos. Very happy with this one.
It's vanilla, and it's rooibos. What else is there to say, really? I bought this for blending, rather than drinking by itself. It gives a nice sort of 'cake' flavor for blends, being naturally honey-sweet. Tasty!

This is the tea I make for company, because it's so likable for so many palates, yet its uniqueness makes you feel special.
Sweetener really brings out the vanilla character to it, but it holds up really well plain.
If you want to make it really special though, add 2 lumps of sugar, some cream, and vanilla extract.
I'm keeping a pitcher of this in my fridge from now on. Naturally sweet, strong hints of vanilla, and a very clean taste.

I got the iced pouches for Groundhog's Day, and they're alright, but I'm not all that fond of it iced. It's okay, but it's got a bit of a weird after taste that I don't taste when it's hot.
This smelled SO M ZING, and tasted pretty good, too. But I think I'm mildly allergic to rooibos it or something. My face felt really tingly after I drank this, and my gums felt a bit numb. I'll have to gather my courage and try again, because I really liked it and the fact that it's caffeine free.
Wow...really bad. Smells like artificial butter flavored microwave popcorn, and tastes even worse. I don't know what this has to do with vanilla at all. I love the plain red and green rooibos from Adagio. This is a big oops.

A very good, soothing tea. Either with milk, sugar, or plain. I can't quite put my finger on how to describe the taste... like a gingerbread? But after standing outside in 40 degree weather, for 3 hours none the less, coming home to this tea is like a warm blanket. I just want to say, this is a very nice surprise, as I've never had a rooibos from adagio before, and I like my first experience very much.
It took me a bit to acquire the taste for rooibos and it's still not my favorite type of tea, but once I got used to that flavor the calming vanilla flavor here really began to appeal to me. I frequently drink this later at night because of the natural lack of caffeine, and while it doesn't quite taste like that creamy baked-goods-style vanilla, the more bean-y taste still pleases me, and I'll be reordering when I run out.
very nice, strong vanilla. I love having a cup of this before bed to simply smooth out mental kinks and warm up. I added barely a dash of vanilla sugar and a touch of milk, and then it's almost like drinking icecream, without being crazy sweet. It's also a good tea to add to others for a touch of extra flavor!
I love this tea, I'm just starting to like iced teas and this one is definitely one I will get again.
It has a really odd flavor. Even with added sweetener it's still terrible.
This is the second rooibos that I have tried and I really enjoy it. All rooibos have a pretty similar taste so if you've had Adagio rooibos before just expect that with a little accent.
I won free iced pouches from Adagio's Groundhog Day contest, and I have to say, the tea is much better than I expected. It has a nice sweetness, even before I put in extra sweetner, and the vanilla flavor is just enough to be perfect for the drink. I'll definitely be enjoying this drink during our 'early spring'!
Great iced, even great warm! The tea bags are filled with a pretty good amount of tea, so you can get a lot out of this.
This is one of my favorite Rooibos tea blends. Great aroma and the vanilla flavor is enhanced with the addition of a little gave syrup.
I blended this one with the honeybush orange and the chocolate chip for a fun, creamy mix. I have not tried it alone.

Having a cup of this now, it's the smoothest 'tea' I've ever had. It has an almost creamy texture. It really tastes like desert. Has a pleasant aroma that, dry, reminded me of vanilla tobacco. But brewed it becomes a perfect balance of vanilla and rooibos. For an extra treat I add just a touch of vanilla sugar. Yum.
Not a huge fan of vanilla but when paired with the muskiness of the rooibos it was nice.

This tisane is perfect for a cold night. It's earthy, with a vanilla caramel scent to it, and brews a brilliant red color. A little sugar and some cream makes the perfect cup, and I have yielded four steeps from a single teaspoon.
This almost tastes like a sugar cookie mixed with a snickerdoodle, without the sugary taste if that makes any sense. This is definitely one of my favorites.
