This tea is sooo good. I'm drinking it as I type this! It's not very strong, but it smells so good and it has a wonderful smooth taste to it.
Rich vanilla and sweet, lightly fruity Rooibos herb. Warm sugar cookies, mellow flavor, smooth finish. Yum!

This tea is sooo good. I'm drinking it as I type this! It's not very strong, but it smells so good and it has a wonderful smooth taste to it.
I was soo excited to open this tea. When I opened this tea, it had a very strong (almost artifical) vanilla scent. After steeping, the vanilla flavor mellowed out beautifully. My first sip reavealed a vanilla-cream flavor. It was so good. It was just as I remembered rooibos. :P
A really nice mellow tea, I like to add a little almond milk to it to create a more flavorful drink. Very calming and relaxing.
Pretty bland by itself, but it works nicely with other teas, adding a subtle vanilla flavor.
Deliciously creamy texture makes this a perfect tea to unwind with at the end of a stressful day. I imagine this would be even better in a blend.
My all-around favorite. Rooibos is so wonderful, but combined with the deliciousness of vanilla, I'm so cozy in my cube at work or reading a book at home. Absolute heaven.
Okay, this probably totally negates the health benefits of tea, but if you add a shot of good dark rum (e.g., Pussers, Goslings black seal) and a tad of evaporated cane juice sugar to this or the masala chai... YUM! Better than a hot buttered rum on a cold, cold night! :)
While the aroma of the tea is pleasant and rich, the taste leaves (haha) a lot to be desired for me. The hints of vanilla are there - sweet and mellow - but the rather bitter taste of the rooibos creates a rather strange contrast. The taste of the tea overall seems almost artificial and reminds me far too much of a medicinal drink I used to have as a child.
Rooibos vanilla is one of my weaknesses. I normally drink this in the form of a tea latte from coffee shops, but now that I have it at home, I'll likely need to buy new pouches of it often! Perfect with milk and some amber sugar crystals to round it out.
Absolutely delicious. I drink it with some honey and frothy vanilla almond milk and it's the best bedtime drink.
Ok this tea is amazing. This is a relaxing cup of tea that tastes just like sweet vanilla cookies. I like the taste of the tea more than the cookies! I suggest under-brewing a bit to get a lighter feel to the tea. Either way this is great! I bought it in a sample and I plan to buy more for my next order. Also there is potential for an iced tea.
Read many good things about this tea. Wanted to get an alternative tea so my Mormon friends could drink and this seemed to be the best. Hope they like it.
Mild compared to what I was expecting. I was hoping for a stronger vanilla flavor, but it kind of fell flat.
The vanilla is a very smooth flavor, and kind of blends into the natural rooibos flavor so that the whole effect is a very smooth, sweet vanilla sugarcane taste. Might be little syrupy tasting to some, but it blends quite well and is great for adding a sweet richness to a blend, or for a sweet dessert tea by itself.
This tea tastes good, and is quite a bit like sugar cookies when mixed with milk as the description claimed, but I was a bit disappointed it was not much more complicated than vanilla and a mild tea-like flavor. This was my first roobios, so maybe I was just expecting more tea flavor than the bush delivers. However, I still like having a cup before bed, since the caffeine free aspect is nice. I'm not sure I'll buy it again, but I could see using it to round out free shipping.
Amazing, subtle and beautifully flavored. Delicious and great for a caffeine-free relaxing cup of vanilla.
This is a cabinet staple! Due to the natural anti-hystamine properties of this tea, this is great for allergy sufferers...and also for the sick...or people who just happen to like vanilla! We very much like this one brewed with 'Golden Monkey'.
If tea were a drug, this would be crack. After one 9oz (1 table spoon with a 5 minute steep at 220f) cup I immediately follow it up with 3 more.
My girlfriend, whom I bought this for and loves everything vanilla, does not care for the taste. I, on the other hand, do not always care for vanilla but absolutely love the aroma and flavors of this tea.
Nice vanilla, good to blend with other tea flavors.
Fantastic rooibos! The vanilla mellows out the flavor a lot. I liked it with a little bit of milk. It isn't something I usually do with red teas, but it went well with the vanilla flavor.
my favorite tea by far. pure rooibos has always been my favorite and the vanilla just adds a little depth and richness to the purity of rooibos. IN LOVE!
Not the biggest fan, but I gave it to a friend and she loves it! Very earthy, just not my deal, but if you like it, you're golden.
What I like about THIS take on vanilla rooibos versus other variations I've tried, is that this still tastes like rooibos, just with a very welcome mellow liqueur that reminds me of Cavendish pipe tobacco. I drink it plain but kids would probably love it with a little honey and a drop of milk.
I'm a sucker for everything vanilla... I love to mix this with the masala chai
A terrific alternative to caffeinated flavors. Great when you don't want that jolt!:)
The tea leaves had a very potent vanilla aroma, almost nauseating. The tea itself has a strong smell to it. But the taste is smooth and soft. The vanilla gives the tea a good touch. A dash of stevia extract made the vanilla essence become more tasteful. But the vanilla flavor stayed in my mouth for longer than I would've liked.
Sweet, mellow, light. The vanilla is soft but distinct. Will make for nice blends.
This is a more complex flavor than I thought it would be. The smell reminds me of a vanilla pipe tobacco combined with sugar cookie, and the taste is nutty and warm. It's good by itself, or mixed with other flavors.
Good rooibos choice but not my favorite. The vanilla flavor is not strong enough for my palette.
The rooibos is pretty good, but I can barely taste the vanilla.
First, the aroma hits like grampa's vanilla creme pipe tobacco. It's sweet, obviously vanilla, with hints of toasty sugar, like homemade toasted marshmallow. The liquor is sweet, mine needed no honey at all. Even as the cup cooled, each sip was increasingly pleasant and inviting. I was worried that it would be grassy or taste like tobacco (i see you hiding, red pearl!) but alas, it was wonderful. a GREAT buy! A little heavy creme will give this fruity tea some body, and satisfy your sweet tooth.
This is creamy and nice but not my favorite rooibos.
The rooibos overpowers any vanilla I'm getting out of this. Just tastes tangy to me, which isn't quite right. Honeybush Vanilla has a truer vanilla flavor.
I'm really, truly in love with this tea. It has a deep, rich sweetness, like a straight-from the-oven vanilla cookie, and the rooibos gives it an extra-earthy dimension that's perfection. I expect this is the kind of tea one would be served while visiting a Hobbit. It's ideal for calming and restfulness, excellent for just before bedtime. What's more, I've found it to be genuinely helpful with my asthma, which is welcome indeed. Two thumbs up!
I discovered Adagio, because they were handing out samples of this wonderful tea on the street. I absolutely love it!
It's okay, but for some reason it didn't taste sweet to me like it was supposed to. I'm not a big fan.
This tea is sweet on it's own but absolutely delicious with cream and sugar! Blends well with other flavors of rooibos and honeybush. Great any time of day!
A good plain tea. The vanilla leaves a little bit of an aftertaste, though. I'm sure this will be better mixed.
This is sort of a classic combination, but it took me a while to get around to trying it. I must say, I like it a lot better than just the plain rooibos. It has a lovely sweet taste, but it does still retain that medicinal sort of aroma.
This tea reminds me of...a liquified sugar cookie. Of course, I just added quite a bit of sugar to my cup! At about half as much rec'd tea, the Vanilla Rooibos is very good. Definitely vanilla with an amber cup. Most of all, I love using this in blends. uwahah.
This is a nice change from standard rooibos. It has a subtle hint of vanilla and a nice light nutty flavor. It's also a very beautiful color. I would assume the vanilla would stand out more with sugar, but it's good without anything added to it.
I don't have too many pleasant things to say about this tea. It did brew nicely and the tea itself was rather strong. But from the smell in the bag to the taste in the pot something went horribly wrong! The taste is similar to an old cough syrup I had as a baby. This might just be a personal preference review, but the taste of this was unbearable. Definitely better suited for blends and a pleasant smell in the bag.
I really enjoyed this rooibos tea! This tea has a mellow, rich, almost earthy flavor. If you enjoy vanilla, and need a decaf tea which also has great medicinal qualities...this is a great tea for you! I also steep this for 15 minutes or more to extract more of the medicinal qualities as rooibos doesn't become bitter if you leave the leaves in. This is a must try!
I have been drinking this tea as an everyday tea and it's mellow, clean and classic. I would recommend this tea for any fan of rooibos...
This is a standby in our house---I was so happy that Adagio carries it! Rooibos is full of Vitamin C, with no caffeine. They actually use it for nursing mothers in south Africa, and make a poultice with it to get rid of baby acne. This one is a delicious take---can hold it's own with soy milk or milk. And you can brew it longer if you like it stonger---unlike tea there is no fear of tannins getting bitter.
The vanilla could be stronger, but perhaps I just really like vanilla.
Great herbal tea, nice vanilla taste, great for the late evening.
Good. The vanilla doesn't stand out very strong but it's a good rooibos tea.
I was worried about this tea being too sweet, especially once I smelled it. It smells vaguely like pipe tobacco, which is a lovely smell to me, and the vanilla note is very clear even in the smell. However, I was impressed once again once I took the first sip. This tea has the essence of a warm vanilla cookie without being overpoweringly sweet.
This tea was pleasant, light, and required very little sweetening since it is naturally sweet. While vanilla is the primary flavor, there were also fruity notes. I prefer honey with this blend, especially on a sunny afternoon.
Artificial vanilla aroma and taste. would not buy again.
