I agree with many that this tea tastes a lot like apple cider. Very nice, especially for fall!

The smell of this tea has a wonderful apple scent, it just drifts from the packet once opened. The flavor is earthy with a hint of apple, almost tasting like an old fashioned medicinal candy (which might not be for everyone, but I enjoy them). I think this tea does better with a slice of fresh apple on top. I used a Sugar Bee apple in my cup, letting the sugary apple bring out more of the sweetness in the tea.

In the tin: Identical to the Adagio photo.

On the nose (pre-steep): An even blend of rooibos and apple. Not sure what kind of apple, as the scent isn’t that distinct. Maybe a touch of cinnamon, but it’s difficult to tell. Faint sugar. Vaguely like an apple candy.

On the nose (post-steep): Cinnamon is stronger, but doesn’t dominate. Clear scents of rooibos and apple remain, along with that faint sugary undertone. Not very intense.

On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Weak flavor intensity. Rooibos is the main taste, with apple coming in on the background of the aftertaste.

On the tongue (post-sweetener): Flavor has increased to a moderate intensity. No other changes to the overall profile.

Opinion: Meh. It’s tasty enough, but too simple — I like more complexity in my tea. The flavor is also too faint. The apple and cinnamon, however, were spot on and took my mind straight to memories of autumn treats.

Preparation: 5 minutes for the first steep, 10 for the second. 212°F for both. ½ tsp of monk fruit sweetener.

Perfect evening tea (caffeine-free) for cool fall and winter evenings! Nice on its own and also perfect with a snack.

Got this in a sampler last year and am excited to order it again. Perfect fall apple flavor without caffeine.

Reminds me of a cool fall day eating a candy apple on a stick. Just the right blend of cinnamon so it’s not overpowering..warm and smooth

I have yet to find a roobios tea that I like. I have been looking for a decaff cinnamon apple tea that tastes great outside of the Celestial Seasonings line. My search continues.

such a very smooth taste, great hot or cold. I like to use vanilla sugar in it, gives it a very nice hint of spice to it.

I got a sample of this in my CommuniTea box. I found it a very nice blend, so I ordered a sample bag of it. It is not something I would drink everynight, but I enjoy it every now and then. It is perfect for cool fall evenings because to me it has a very 'fall-like' flavor. I like cinnamon but I don't like an overwhelming amount, and this was just right.

I was welcome with the aroma of cinnamon and apple upon opening my communiTEA package. It was like I was ready to bake an apple pie instead of brewing my tea. Surprisingly, my tea, tasted not like and apple pie, but close. I was able to taste the cinnamon and apple, but the orange, ginger and mango bring a bright flavor to the blend that make it very refreshing. I added 1/4 teaspoon of Splenda and some cream to my tea it and there it was, the apple pie I was expecting! We have a winner folks, a two in one tea: apple pie in a cup, and if you are not in the mood for pie, then you have a bright spicy-fruity refreshing tea.

A pleasant tea with, not overwhelming like some of the other cinnamon apple teas I've tried. Even my SIL who is not a big tea fan likes it with a little sweetener.

This tea has mostly an apple taste with a touch of cinnamon that goes well with the Rooibos and makes it taste like an apple pastry. Yum!

When I first opened the packet, the smell was a bit underwhelming to me. It didn't smell like cinnamon or apples, and I didn't see any apple pieces in it as I've seen with all the other teas that I've gotten that contain apple. However, after tasting the tea, I was pleasantly surprised! This is very good and all of the flavor comes out beautifully. Not too much cinnamon, very well balanced.

2023 communiTEA: Welp, zero apple pieces this time.
2022: Only two apple pieces poking out of about 1.5tsp red rooibos inside my CommuniTEA packet. Steeped at 212F for a little over 5min, this was a lovely reddish brown color and it smelled of cinnamon only. This tasted only of cinnamon as well. I added a small amount of Adagio’s raw honey for rooibos (coating the back of a demitasse spoon) and a touch of rock sugar. This brought forth only the barest hint of apple, still almost entirely cinnamon, no medicinal rooibos flavor detected. It was a very pleasant cup but I missed the apple flavor advertised.

I love the apple cinnamon scent of this packet. The tea still has too much of a rooibos flavor for me. It is only lightly masked by apple cinnamon.

It's like a light apple cider. It smells wonderful, but the flavor is a bit light. I would've preferred it spicier. I added a bit of sugar and oat milk.

I made this with a bit of sugar and it was heavenly. The apple flavors came through with just the right amount of cinnamon. The rooibos really compliments the other tastes. When I finished the pot I wished I had made more. This is a new favorite!

8 oz, 12 mins @ 212* F, hot with sweetener and cream

This tastes just like cinnamon apple oatmeal. Which I enjoy eating from time to time, but honestly don't want to drink oatmeal. However, I can see this going well in some autumn blends. It's just too much on its own.

I love this tea! It is all the best of apple cider...apple and cinnamon...with an underlying taste of earthy fall. The flavors mesh together perfectly. I brewed it at 212 for ten minutes.

Lovely scent of apple cinnamon, when brewed I could smell the rooibos. Let it seep for 10 minutes, I did add a little sugar making it very apple-y. I would like a bit more cinnamon. Would be great in blends.

Another great fall tea, if you like rooibos as I do. Especially nice for when you’ve had too many chais and other amped-up spice blends (looking at you Pumpkin Spice! 👀) and just want some simple cinnamon and apple. If you’re looking for something more intense, this blends amazingly with the Bonfire tea and a splash of spiced rum.

The smell of apples and cinnamon from the packet is drool worthy. Scooped from my sample size pack for the best representation. Cinnamon and apple is a favorite combination for me and I was excited to taste this tea. 5 min @ 212 After steeping the aroma was muted and the wood smell of rooibos comes through. The flavor was quite a disappointment, nothing close to the vibrant aroma. A hint of cinnamon flavor and light apple aftertaste. After having Fiery Cinnamon Spice, all cinnamon will be compared to that sweetness, and this doesn't hold up. Second steep for 10 min didn't bring out stronger flavors like I hoped. Hoping the chai version is better.

I prefer this in a chai tea blend. On its own, it falls a bit flat. The apple profile is present, but the cinnamon and ginger are missing in action; thus preventing it from being a more lively tea.

I was pleasantly surprised with this blend, it was hard to believe it was red rooibos. Light flavors of apple and cinnamon worked nicely, next time I might add a touch of sugar. Tasty autumn treat!

The apple flavour was so pleasant on this tea, and the cinnamon was a good supporting character and didn't overpower the apple. Definitely enjoyable.

I usually find that I have to add honey to rooibos to really enjoy the flavor, but I love that I can enjoy this tea plain. Although it's very good with honey too!

Tastes like apple pie. My 4-year-old daughter loves this caffeine-free option, and I like it too before bed.

★★★☆☆

It's ok. It basically just adds a touch of tartness to the rooibos. I don't particularly pick up on the cinnamon much. Basically if you wish rooibos had some brightness, you'd like this. Probably not something I'd personally buy again.

Not bad but surprisingly tart in both taste and smell. Added a spoonful of the whipped cinnamon honey that really brought it all together.

A bit too cinnamon forward for my taste but still a very rich warming tea. Good for cold winter days.
