I enjoyed this plain green rooibos tea. It is different from red ( which I happen to like as well) . It was a simple cup to enjoy on it's own. I do like some of the blends that use green rooibos too.

I enjoyed this more than I anticipated. I really don't care for red rooibos (reminds me of red mulch). The green rooibos has a grassier flavor which I didn't mind nearly as much with some sugar.

I enjoy rooibos and was excited to try this version. I found it light and sweet. It has a green tea flavor without being as overwhelmingly grassy as some green teas. It also has a natural sweetness that reminds me of honey. Very delicious!

212 degrees for 5 minutes. This a is a simple green tea that reminds me of fresh cut grass, but in a good way! Sweet and mild with a tangy aftertaste, green rooibos makes a great decaf alternative to traditional green tea. I think this would be a nice base tea for light fruit blends. Uncomplicated and easy to drink.

Dry tea smells like hay. Once brewed, the liquor is a medium brown with a slight woody fragrance. The flavor of green rooibos is much less intense than the red rooibos, with delicate notes of sweet green woods. The green rooibos compares to red rooibos similarly to camellia sinensis in that the lack of oxidation makes the tea lighter and more mild. The green rooibos does have a natural sweetness to it, and makes for a pleasant cup. Great caffeine-free alternative to white or green tea in blends. Brewed at 212 for 5 minutes.

I’m not a huge Rooibos fan overall. I will say that this one actually surprised me. It has a light flavor palette to it. Way better than other rooibos yeas I’ve tried in the past.

This makes a lovely light amber cup. Not much aroma, but it's very smooth, sweet and tasty. A great tisane all by itself but also a wonderful base for added herbs and flavorings.

Enjoying with the CommunitTEA today: Typical earthy, spicy/medicinal notes from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 5 mins at 210° F, I notice very subtle spicy (anise seed, clove, and ginger) notes. When I take a sip, I am reminded of earthy, slightly yeasty gingerbread made with whole wheat from the city of Dijon in France. Forgot how much I enjoy green rooibos all by itself.

Green tea without the caffeine! I happen to really enjoy plain teas or simple blends, so trying green rooibos plain was a treat. Although I do prefer some citrus or other flavors added to it, this was delicious with a touch of adagio's green tea honey. It is light, grassy, and vegetal, so if you're a green tea fan and want a caffeine-free option, I'd give this a try.

I'm torn. The aroma is a little like wet hay dipped in honey. The taste is a mix of really weak, malty black tea mixed with a hay-like green tea, with a bit of honey on the end of each sip. Some sips I like, and then the next sip I don't think I do. Back and forth. I can't really decide how I feel about this plain. I have liked the few blends that used this as the base, and I think that is where I will keep it. It is mild enough that it hides in the background and lets all the other flavors shine. I’ve found that I prefer flavored rooibos teas to the plain. Personally the flavors enhance the tea so this cup was just ho hum for me.

I think of this like a green tea, even though I know it's an Aspalathus linearis green, not a Camellia sinensis green. The taste is reminiscent of the 'real' stuff, but without the same umami quality that I like so much. Still a fine green tea, with the advantage of being totally caffeine-free if you need that. I'm a big fan of red rooibos and have never tried green rooibos on it's own before. It's a good basic tea, but not one I would go out of my way to get.

Floral and hay like flavors accentuated by a slight honey sweetness. I love you green rooibos, sorry can’t say the same about your cousin red rooibos. 🤷‍♀️

I like green rooibos because it can let me pretend I am drinking a lovely little green tea from some province in China. It can 'mimic' that palette to me. Because I'm caffeine sensitive, I appreciate the chameleon abilities. The tea has a grassy, hay-like vibe with JUST a touch of sweetness that can seem almost vanilla like. It's nice and rich in mouthfeel. I usually like it dressed up a bit in blends, but I would drink it plain too. I think this is a nice alternative for the no caffeine crowd. Happy Sipping!

I like this a lot!. Light flavor with hints of fruit. Would be a great herbal/caffeine-free base for flavored blends. I definitely like it better than red rooibos!

I've had this in blends before, but was pleasantly surprised trying it on its own! The loose tea smells sweetish and lightly of hay, and steeped to a rich amber color. It's very forgiving - I was called into an unexpected meeting while it was steeping, but unlike a green tea, it didn't tip the scale into bitterness, and was still good for a second steep.

I typically don't like rooibos but this tea was a pleasant surprise! There was a great smell right out of the packet and although the flavor is mellow, it was more along your typical green tea than the extra woodsy notes that I don't like about rooibos.

Ehhh I'm kind of torn on this one. I don't love that even this rooibos has a slightly medicinal tinge to it, but it's nowhere near as bad as the red rooibos varieties I've tasted. This is okay. Not great, not terrible; I wouldn't buy it but it wasn't the worst.

What a lovely tea. Not much in common with its red counterpart, flavour-wise. It's light and a little sweet. Not that different from many green teas, but caffeine-free and can be steeped for longer without getting bitter.

I’m not a fan of plain rooibos in general but I may actually like green rooibos less than red. It tastes “green”, as in an unripe version of rooibos. Glad I got to try it but I won’t be seeking it out.

It’s okay. Call me a tea snob but I don’t consider herbals “teas”. Although green rooibos fares better than its sister red, it’s just a very plain drink and not something worth the time. It’s not terrible or bitter. It’s just nothing something I would buy.

I keep reading the reviews that there was a 'grassy' taste to it. I'm not tasting it. Then again, I've been drinking green tea lately. To me, this taste like regular rooibos. UPDATE (5/17/2021): I've used it only to blend with other ingredients. For me, it's nothing more than basic tea.

Green rooibos. Great basic tea. I use it to blend with other things when no caffeine is desired. More mild taste then red...so it blends well with other flavors.

Green rooibos has become my favorite caffeine free tea from Adagio, so I was really happy when the Communitea sample was -just- green rooibos by itself. Brewed at 212° for 3 minutes, and adding sucralose for sweetness, it tasted just like pure sugar without any sort of discernible flavoring. No wonder I like it so much. I would love to see more flavor varieties introduced for green rooibos. As a side-note, I’m not a big fan of red rooibos. This one is so different from the red.

A nod to horse racing month. Hay is not only for horses but for tea drinkers who love a woodsy hay flavored cuppa. Green rooibos was a very pleasant sip today and I liked it best with a little honey to boost its natural sweetness. This rooibos skips over the medicinal taste of its red rooibos cousin and goes for a more straw like flavor that has a slightly nutty finish and a citrus like aftertaste that’s a bit tangy.

My Ct packet had a sweet hay like scent with 2 tsp. of green and yellow tea leaves. I brewed 12 oz. of tea at 212F for 5 minutes. A deep golden caramel colored liquor developed that had a woodsy scent and a straw like flavor. I sweetened with honey which complemented the natural honey notes of the tea and gentled the hay like flavor. An 8 oz. resteep was possible too, giving the tea an extra couple of minutes to obtain almost the same color and flavor of the first steep. I refrigerated a sweetened portion to try and was surprised that the woodsy and straw like taste of the hot tea had mellowed quite a bit with a few hours of chilling. This would make a very pleasant iced tea.

Fans of rooibos will appreciate the sweet simplicity of this tea and its flavor while those who aren’t will be glad to leave the hay-like taste to our four legged friends who like to race around a track.

Whilst I did genuinely enjoy the green rooibos, I was surprised at how little it offered on top of traditional rooibos. Unlike green teas, which offer their own rich depths, this feels like little more than a ‘muted’ rooibos. I keep expecting something else to happen, and it ends up in the uncanny valley of taste.

I mainly use green rooibos as a 'filler' for a ginger tea blend, which is my current obsession. The subtle earthy flavor enhances the spices I use in the ginger blend. On its own, green rooibos is soothing and mellow, but the flavor is very subtle. I highly recommend!

I really like this tea. The main reason I bought it was to have 'potion' ingredients for my children to experience blending their own teas and learning all about herbs. It is one of their favorite things getting to blend and experiment each day with a new 'concoction' of their own design to enjoy. A pinch of this and scoop of that ...

I've become addicted to green rooibos. I got this after getting the easter peeps mix once. I tried the regular rooibos and it's good too but a bit tobacco flavored for me to drink every day. The green is more toned down. Good to blend or as is.

I always thought rooibos was just red tea, and that it didn't have specific varieties. This green rooibos has a very fresh, clean smell when you open the pouch. Like those 'spring' scent detergents but not as pungent. The taste is a little on the fruity side, but somewhere between a standard cup of green tea and plain red rooibos.
