Delicious, smooth, and flavorful. Lovely color. Very good with honey and cream as well. No complaints!
This natural sweetness and low tannin content ensure a smooth, never bitter brew that requires little if any, sweetener. Like red rooibos, it is also naturally caffeine-free and great plain or flavored, hot or iced for anytime enjoyment.

Delicious, smooth, and flavorful. Lovely color. Very good with honey and cream as well. No complaints!
I definitely have to say I prefer the traditional rooibos to the green variety. This tea on its own is a bit boring, better when mixed with other flavors
I had never even heard of Green Rooibos until my sister got me some of this along with several other teas for my birthday. I loved it! Rooibos is already one of my favorite teas, and the light floral notes in this just made it even better. I still have some tea from my sister but ran out of green rooibos and the nutcracker far too quickly so had to come buy some more.
A necessity to have in my tea shelf! I love mixing it with other light flavors for a nighttime blend
FEBRUARY 7. 2023. This is a nice light tea that works well in blends. I particularly enjoy it cold brewed in the Green Rooibos Bonita blend. I do like it by itself when I want something light and plain. For example, I had it this evening when we came home from dinner. I didn’t have to worry about any possible caffeine effects, and I think it does a good job in aiding digestion. I brewed it at 195 for 3 minutes.
Taste great! The green rooibos is more like a green tea with an earthy-vegetal and a bit of sweetness to the tea. Adagio green tea honey or herbal honey is perfect for green rooibos. Yummy!
This was okay - not one I’m going to add to my list. I think I like more flavors in my teas. 212 for 5 min. CT 2/7/23.
Surprise! Green rooibos is great! It’s much lighter tasting than red rooibos which I think can be quite pungent at times. This is a nice mild basic tasting tea.
It is alright... Mild and bland, but not unpleasant.
This was a pleasant cup of herbal tea, but nothing so exciting I would gravitate towards I again. It tastes more neutral than anything else--perhaps better for blending than sipping straight?
Simple and enjoyable. It's wheat-like and has hints of peach or apricot notes to me. I love it.
This is ok. Just basic and boring. I prefer blends with more flavors.
This tea is green and very earthy, but very sweet. Definitely more drinkable than red rooibos, but I find it a bit cloying without any other flavors mixed in. Great as a base, but I wouldn't drink this on its own!
I found this to be a very pleasant cup of tea, but I prefer (i.e., love) the flavored green rooibos teas more. I steeped at 212 degrees for 5 minutes with some rock sugar. I also used my new Finum filter, leading to no stray little pieces of rooibos in my cup.
Lighter than regular rooibos, almost floral and slightly sweet
This is a nice green rooibos that is a great base for blends!
a good tasting tea, I prefer it over the red variety. it lacks any of the same medicinal taste. would be better in a blend rather than on its own.
Didn’t think I would like this one. But I find this one is just the right notes for me. Wasn’t ever a big fan of this type of tea but I would definitely drink this again
I can't stand red rooibos, but love green rooibos. There is no medicinal/wet cardboard scent or taste; just a clean, hay-like scent and it tastes like a very mild green tea. Love it!
Not my favorite. Iliked t better blended with other teas than as a standalone.
Slightly nutty, with some notes of dry hay and grass. I love the earthiness of this Green Rooibos, and it's considerable less medicinal than the red version. All around a great cup!
CommuniTEA portion: 212 for a 5 minute steep. This is one of the many things I enjoy about the CommuniTEA, I learn the nuances of red rooibos vs green. I much prefer the almost sweetness of the green. Fun adventure.
A lighter tasting roiboos without as much a woodsy taste, but still really delicious. I love roiboos, so I enjoyed this version; traditional roiboos has a greater depth of flavour, but this one was a lot simpler and surprisingly naturally sweeter tasting. If you don't enjoy roiboos, this might be thinned down enough to be worth a try.
I'm not a fan of red rooibos, but green rooibos isn't bad. It's not bitter or medicinal tasting. It just tastes like hay.
This was nice. Smooth, almost nutty/fruit undertones
Straight green rooibos is a soft, smooth if somewhat unassuming 'green' herbal that provided a very pleasant afternoon beverage, happily enjoyed after the daily caffeine cutoff time! I would drink this one again.
This was a pleasant surprise! Rooibos is not a favorite, but the flavor of this one is less medicinal and more grassy. It has qualities that remind me of green teas, but overall has a light flavor that lends itself well to honey.
212F for 5 minutes. It smells like a fresh bale of grass hay and tastes good with a bit of rock sugar.
Far better than red rooibos, which I don't even like at all unless it is blended well with other things. This stuff is great by itself.
CommuniTEA Sample: A nice change from the traditional red rooibos. The green rooibos has a sweeter profile with notes of oats or wheat instead of the stronger woody/medicinal flavor of the red rooibos. If you don't like red, try the green!
I strongly dislike red rooibos but this is not bad. I still get slight medicinal qualities but also those of a slightly toasted green tea. I do not think I would ever order this straight up but may need to experiment blending with it.
I don't really like green teas and this one smelled like freshly mowed grass in the summer in the package. Even with a little sugar, I didn't enjoy the flavor. It seemed a little too grassy for my liking.
This rooibos was nice. I picked up on some light woody and grassy flavors. I added some stevia for some sweetness.
A mild, pleasant and refreshing taste not bad but I wouldn't try again. I tend to prefer a more flavorful tea. Surprised this was such a departure from the red and honey nut rooibos teas I am quite a fan of.
In the bag: Just the finely chopped needles of tea ranging from yellow-green to medium brown in color. Some stems made it into the blend as well.
On the nose (pre-steep): Smells like hay has only partially dried out after being cut. No other scents.
On the nose (post-steep): Still smells like hay, but younger, as if it hasn't dried out so much since it was cut. A grassier quality.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): A delicate, semi-sweet grassy flavor. None of the must I get from green teas or the dry grass I get from whites.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): No change.
Opinion: A decent tea, though not one that I will crave. A bit plain for my taste, though keep in mind that I don't typically like naked teas.
Preparation: First steep 7 min, second steep 14 min. Both @ 212 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener
Not a fan of red rooibos, but I love green rooibos! It's such a light and pleasant tea, with zero bitterness or grassy aftertaste. It can be mixed with any other tea. I sometimes mix it with black teas to tone them down.. Great caffeine free tea!
A very nice tea! The light, sweet scent is very pleasant and the combination of sweet and woody taste has a delightful summer evening feel.
I really enjoy green rooibos. It has the smoothness and lack of caffeine that I appreciate about a red rooibos, but with a very different palate. It also doesn't remind me at all of a green tea, as it isn't grassy/dirty-tasting. It's a clean, light flavour, and it really doesn't require sweetener. It's smooth and pleasant on its own, but a little sweetener wouldn't hurt, either.
When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I noted really grassy aromas. I steeped the tea for about 5 minutes. The flavor was really mellow and light. It is not nearly as sweet and flavorful as red rooibos, but it is still a very pleasant tea.
I love red and green rooibos. This one was nice when you want a plain tea or if you want to mix this with something else.
This is really nice as a base but rather bland without added flavors. It has light vanilla and caramel notes.
Great tea to enjoy without added flavors! I like the mellow and lightness found in my cup. No sweetener needed. I picked up on the natural sweetness and really enjoyed no bitterness. Rooibos has a distinct layer that shines with higher temperature and longer steep time. This tea is delicious poured over ice with a squeeze of lemon and lime. 5 min @212
A pleasant tea that tastes a little bit like hay. Green is more enjoyable than red.
Nice and floral, very soothing. goes well with a dash of milk.
An enjoyable light cup with soft flavors of green and what I would consider as something almost wheat-like. Slight floral notes peaked in as well. A good caffeine free alternative when you're in the mood for green tea.
UPDATED from 5/17/21: What a lovely green smell in the CommuniTEA packet when it opens, and the small pieces steep into a light gold color. Yummy, fresh green flavor. I have never had green rooibos plain, and it is a light, flavorful green tea. No wonder it is a great base for blends. Green tea flavor without the caffeine. Adding ¼ teaspoon sweetener (to 10 oz) really made this a sweet cuppa. A win-win for me: zero caffeine, zero astringency, and the second steep was as good as the first one. ( 5 mins @ 212F + sweetener).
Great no caffeine option. Has a very neutral flavor that is great for embellishing. Liquid brews to a nice rich brown.
Better aroma than red versions that reminds me of yerba mate. The flavor isn't as strong comparatively, however.
For a green Rooibos this has nice balance, flavor and lack of bitterness. Wins my vote if you want a change from Rooibos.
I brewed my Green Rooibos hot with some rock sugar. It looked like grass clippings when brewing, but upon drinking it it didn't taste grassy at all. It was actually quite mellow with only a little of 'rooibos bite' that's typical of these teas. Unfortunately, it didn't take the sweetness of the rock sugar very well. Despite this, I would recommend this tea for blending with other flavors! It was definitely a decent tea.
