I didn't think it was possible for a tea to beat my love of Adagio's Pu Erh Hazelberry, but this one has possibly done just that. It smells amazing, and it tastes even better. If you like chai, you'd definitely like this one. I highly recommend you give it a shot!

Chais are really too strong for me, and so I figured I would try this, since I like the spices that are IN chai. It's definitely a lot less of a punch than a chai has, and I don't need to add anything to it to make it drinkable :) Really prefer the other three flavoured pu erhs, though.

It left a gross after taste for me, wanted some mints. But I think it was the fermentation I'm not a fan when it comes to fermented things but I hoped the tea would be different. But my coworker who took the rest off my hands loved it.

Not one of my favorites, but the friends I shared it with all loved it!

i have enjoyed this, not just on its own (gotta love how hard it is to stew a pu erh by accident), but in blends; it's a great base for masala chai, and a marvelous pick-me-up.

Not my cup of tea. Tastes too much like incense for my taste.

love the variety of flavors this tea provides, a fusion of spices and fruitiness combined in one cup of tea

Love the flavor of this pu erh. The spices make for a wonderful aroma and has quickly become a favorite of mine. I will definitely keep this stocked year round.

This one can turn a little bitter if steeped too long, but love the spicy flavor.

Nice spice blend. Comparable to the Bonfire, but I think a bit 'spicier'. Haven't tried it yet, but could go very well with a bit of cream.
★★★★☆
At first I didn't care for the smell, but the flavor is really nice. Emden after several cups the smell still bugs me. But I really enjoy all the flavors and how well they blend together. So all in all a yummy tea.

My first pu erh. I wanted to try something with a little spice before trying the plain variety, and I wasn't disappointed. A nice balance of spices, sometimes they can overpower the tea, but this didn't. I really enjoyed it.

Nice tea to relaxing with hot or cold or mix with flavored tea for a change of pace

I did not care for this tea. The aroma reminded me of a hay barn and the flavor was not much different.

I can't handle very caffeinated tea well but I still enjoyed this tea. I love anything spice.

Really didn't have that much spice. Even after steeping for longer times. Nice flavor.

Can't decide between this or the hazelberry in terms of superiority but definitely a good, deep and rich cup of tea

Love anything spice and that includes this pu erh blend.

Delicious and comforting with just the right amount of spice!

I've never had a tea like this before. It's very smokey, and even a little bitter. I'm sure this is a great example of the style, but I'm just not used to it.

This was nice! It was earthy and spicy, and tastes great with honey. I'll get it again.

Reminds me of a good chai tea. Great mixture of spices and tea.

I love this! All the benefits of a pu erh with the taste of a chai or 'spiced' black tea. I am a HUGE chai fan, and I actually prefer this! The aniseed and safflower definitely give this a little edge, too.

Pu erh has an earthiness to it that can be off-putting. I actually like this one! I brew it strong for 5 minutes just off the boil, and add honey and milk.

This was my first introduction to pu erh tea, and wow was it an interesting one. Affectionately called 'poo air,' you'll see that this tea lives up to its moniker as soon as you open the bag sending wafts of cinnamon, orange, and a predominant undertone of excrement into the air. Yes, I said excrement.
But wait, there's more! Plugging my nose, I brewed a cup, and saw how the steeping process really allows the once delicate scents of poo to develop into a full fledged 'I just took a crap and bent over to smell it' experience. It's actually quite impressive (and mildly repulsive) how pungent and distinctive the aroma is. On the first brew, I was ready to write off the tea as a magnificent manure misfortune until...
I tried it, and it actually tasted quite good! While it was difficult to get past how ridiculous it smelled through the brewing process, and first sip involved grimacing and holding my nose, the tea flavor was mildly spicy with a pleasant savory citrus undertone and a unique, almost herbal tea profile. I was impressed, especially knowing how it smelled at the beginning.
So, I would recommend this tea to adventurous souls and those who appreciate a distinctive and flavorful tea. It's definitely worth a try, even if just to see the amazing transformation from dung to delicacy.

I'm addicted to pu erh tea, and this one does not disappoint!
★★★★☆
Very nice spice notes and strong body. Bold flavor.

Not sure if it was the pu erh in general or just the spiced type tea, but it was terrible. Smelled and tasted like poo. I threw it away.
★★★★★
Adagio has the best pu erh teas and this one is one of the best.
★★★★★
To me, plain pu erh tastes the way low tide smells. The addition of the spices pushes back the rotting fish notes I usually taste in this type of tea and brings out the earthiness. It takes the tea from 'low tide' to a walk in a mossy forest.

To me this is a rather mildly flavored tea. It's ok, but not one I reach for every time.

I have been brewing this tea and adding a lemonade mix for a refreshing summer ice tea.

This was my first pu erh tea. It's got an interesting taste. Very unique. Not something I would drink everyday but every once in a while it's kinda nice.

Tastes like a plain tea to me, but it's very enjoyable as a 'no frills' drink.

The mix of sweet spices really warm you up from the inside out. I love the aroma of the cinnamon and the hint of anise and ginger. Definitely best in the winter time!

It took a couple of cups to get used to the earthy pu erh taste. Now it's my favorite morning tea. This has just the right amount of spice.

This is the best tea I ever had. Delicate, spicy, fragrant and yet robust. I brew this one 2 to 3 times.

I was curious about this tea so gave it a shot. I am very pleased I did so.

Nice tea. Just enough flavor to make it a different morning cup opposed to the usual black tea or coffee.

I know that this has a variety of flavors going in to it, but when I added half n' half and took a drink, what I tasted was almost pure black licorice. In the background I could taste something that I can only describe as 'warm'. It must be the cinnamon. Otherwise, it's just the most creamy, delicious, soothing black licorice tea *ever*. If you are fond of black licorice, this tea is for you! It would be great on an upset stomach, too. I loved it.

Powerful flavors of clove, bitter orange, and cinnamon at the top. Finishes with that deep, classic Pu Erh Flavor.

My wife says this one tastes like Christmas. I couldn't agree more. It's best hot.

The anise imparts a kind of medicinal taste that I'm not fond of. Otherwise, this tea has a smooth, strong flavor with a noticeable ginger bite and a beautiful dark color. If you like anise, I'd recommend giving this a try.

I found this tea to have a medicine-type taste that I did not enjoy. It is my first Pu Erh tea, so I may try a more pure version to see if it was the tea itself or the spice that I did not like.

Good, just not for me, especially in the spring when I'm wanting more 'fruity' flavors
