This tea has a very earthy taste to it if you go for a full 5 minute steep. If you don't like a strong earthy taste, avoid this tea.
Perky spices and mellow pu erh in a soul-soothing blend.

This is one of my favorite teas. Pu erh Tea is something I think everyone should experience at least once!
Maybe this is just not my kind of tea. It has a full flavor but it's not my favorite taste or aroma. I suspect for pu erh lovers this is great.
This is probably my very favorite tea. It reminds me of a spiced chai made with milk, even though I brew this with only water. There is an earthy quality to it that I have not found in many other teas, that I truly adore. It is also delicious both iced and hot. I highly recommend this tea.
I love the spices in this tea. I enjoy spiced teas such as chai, and this had a very nice balance of sonice and black tea flavors.
I wanted to like this. I really enjoy pu erh tea, and I really enjoy spice/chai teas so I expected the combination to blow me away. However, this was just okay. Not terrible, but not amazing either. I will finish my sample, but I will not be purchasing pu erh spice again.
I didn't used to be a big earthy tea fan, but this rich, spicy chai-like blend is magnificent. It's great with a bit of cream and if you like sweet, try caramel syrup. Amazing.
This is my favorite tea right now. I love the cinnamon and other spices. It's warming and perfect for a cold and rainy afternoon, but I also like to have it in the morning. I was running low and panicked a little - thank goodness for Adagio's fast shipping! I will always have this stocked in my kitchen.
Love this stuff! Great on a winter morning. My favorite.
wonderful blend- my first tea that I bought in the Pu Erh, I like the aroma and spice blend that the tea is mixed with. Overall I think I will try other Pu Erh teas also.
The 'spice' aspect of this tea mixes well with the pu erh, in that one flavor doesn't overshadow the other. rather, they seem to blend quite respectfully of one another. The earthy pu erh is in there right alongside the tangy ginger, et al. I suppose I'm a bit of a purist, as I ultimately prefer an un-spiced pu erh, but this is not at all bad.
Pu erh spice is pretty good, but I like others more depends on the day I guess.
For me this tea was just okay. If you are a fan of spiced tea go for it!
The spice used seems to clash with pu erh. Not a good combination unless you like a very pungent tea
This is a nice pu erh, but not my favorite. Good flavor. I only wish I could get more infusions from it.
I can definitely taste the anise and ginger. As a cinnamon fan, I would have liked to taste more of it, but I do get a hint of it. Overall, the flavors blend well together with the mellow pu erh base.
This tea is the perfect companion for a cold day.
I'm guessing it's the anise flavor, but I got a really strong clove flavor off this tea. It was almost too strong, and I feel like the cinnamon and ginger got lost. However, I like it doctored up with some honey and milk. I think it would be a good tea to blend with other teas that could use a kick. I like the earthy flavor as well.
I love this tea! I drink it black and it is wonderful!
First time tasting pu erh and I found the spice is a really warm and comforting cold weather tea.
I liked this one, but I didn't love it. The Hazelberry and Chorange are better blends.
I love the depth to this tea. It was my first pu erh tea, and I've really enjoyed it. Just enough spice for a cold day - just be careful not to oversteep!
It smells better than it tastes--after brewing (I tried for various lengths at various temps) it tasted very weak. It was OK but I won't buy it again.
Oh, goodness gracious. This tea is marvelous--SO much better than I expected. For some reason, I assumed it would taste like a regular chai with a pu'erh base. I was wrong. It's sharp and warm in a unique, delicious way. My number one comfort tea may still be Pu'Erh Dante, but Pu'Erh Spice is now almost certainly number two.
This is my second order from Adagio and by far my favorite of the Pu-Erh blends so far, I loved that it was spicier than the Hazleberry, but somehow lighter in taste.
Another great mix with pu erh and the flavors picked. They compliment each other very well.
MY FAVORITE FLAVOR IN THE PU ERH TEAS. GREAT HARMONY BETWEEN THE PU ERH TEAS AND THE SPICES.
Really good full taste. I have a really hard time describing this tea. it had a good spiced scent to it and when I brewed it, but the flavor was different. Almost like a campfire but not smokey. I've never had a tea I described as 'woodsy,' so that might be what I was tasting. All in all it was really good plain(I don't generally add sugar), and made a heck of a latte. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes tea latte.
for some reason this tea had a little less kick then the sample i recieved, but im still in love with it!
A nice dark pu erh with a captivating blend of spices.
Really good flavor. Full bodied taste. Wonderful scent, all spices come through. Enjoyable.
It reminds me of chai tea (similar spices in both) but more mellow. It's not a staple of my collection but it offered a nice experience.
Absolutely delicious! It was like a chai version of pu erh, so for me it was the best of both worlds. The spicy taste mixed with the health benefits of pu erh are amazing! Cant wait to order a larger amount!!
this is a good dark tea that does not turn bitter if overbrewed. will order again.
Tastes like spice. it is, after all, a spice tea. very nice, can get creative with what you add.
Wow- 'pu erh chai.' Predominant anise, cinnamon, and earthy scent. Awesomely bold, spicy flavors- cinnamon, followed by a little anise and citrus, followed by pepper. More orange flavor as it cools. Adding sugar brings out the flavors, but with the non-astringent, mellow pu erh tea, I didn't find any need for milk.
In the past, I have only had low quality black tea in bags and wanted to try something new by picking a loose leaf black tea. I actually got this a free sample with my order, but I am happy that I picked it and fully plan on buying more. Although I prefer to drink my tea without anything added, I usually find black tea so bitter and nasty and have to add milk and/or sugar to stomach it. But this tea is great. I tasted not bitterness and I loved the spices underlying the flavor. As soon as I smelled the wonderful aroma of the tea I was excited to try it.The best thing was that I actually followed the directions and it still tasted great. usually I have brew black tea for shorter times to minimize bitterness. After trying Pu'erh spice, I am now sold on higher quality black teas. Definitely worth the extra price for a black tea that I can drink straight without sweeteners. I would definitely recommend this tea to someone.
I LOVE this tea. The pu erh's are like the malbecs of teas. This tea (and the other pu erhs) are great no matter what season. There's a substance to it and when you add a little bit of honey, my goodness, it's almost a buttery richness that I cannot stop eating. I have stocked up on the large bags of this one, that's for sure!
If every season was represented by a tea, than fall would be represented by pu erh spice. The spiced notes are relaxing and comforting. This warms you right up!!!
The pu erh spice tea is very nice, I got it as a sample and might come back for more.
Tastes clove-y and basically what I expected based on the name. I like the smell a lot. Going to try different amounts per cup. I recommend.
meh. I had high hopes but the spice didn't come through at all for me.
I tend to enjoy the more spiced flavored tea then the fruity or floral teas and this one definitely fit the bill! Would order this tea again.
Not really what I hoped for. Somehow tastes more like chocolate to me than spice.
Many flavors and a little strong, but very good. This blend of flavors just takes you away.
I was expecting a spiciness a bit similar to a hot chai and so I was a little disappointed. But the cinnamon and ginger add a nice nuance to the earthiness of the pu-erh which is nice.
I thought that an 'earthy' tea sounded interesting, but this just wasn't for me.
This is my first pu-erh tea that I have tried and I am glad I picked this one! It is smooth and mellow, with a warming hint of spices that is perfect for a cool fall day.
A wonderfully spiced tea, full of flavor and good to the last drop, I tend to over brew it and make it dark as can be then add some sugar and it really comes to life! Very earthy an quite a pleasant aroma.
Really liked the hint of spice in this tea. I love the triangle bags - it makes it so easy to brew!
