Oolong with a hint of vanilla, the vanilla isn't overwhemling. Good.

This tea is good but a little plain on its own. The vanilla flavor is mild, and the oolong used is very dark, similar to a black tea but with less astringency. It would probably work well for mixing with other flavors — personally, I like steeping it with a stick of cinnamon!

★★★☆☆

I enjoyed this tea, though it isn't the best vanilla oolong I've tasted. The vanilla flavor isn't as strong as I'd hoped, and I had some trouble getting the strength that I wanted out of the oolong base.

Probably my new favorite this is absolutely amazing!!

★★★☆☆

The smell upon opening the package is lovely, but the vanilla flavor didn't come through for me. But it's a pleasant oolong tea.

A warm rich subtle tea that feels like a warm sweater for the soul.

★★★★★

My second favourite variety of vanilla tea after rooibos! Manages to avoid the somewhat artificial taste that the black tea version offers.

I have a hard time with vanilla teas. The vanilla flavor is very light for me. I wish it was a little bolder as well. Good everyday tea if you are not very particular

★★★★★

This may be my favorite of the vanilla teas! It's exactly as described--decadent and delicious!

★★★★★

Oh this one had a lovely flavor. Definitely will be making this one a regular tea.

Such a perfect simple tea. Nice and mellow a nice staple in my tea cupboard.

★★★★★

Good, but not overpowering vanilla taste. Relatively good full tea taste for an oolong. May be a new favorite, especially for winter.

Hands down my fave. I love vanilla flavors and this is no disappointment.

★★★★☆

Simple and tasty and soothing. I had a cup after a busy morning at work today, and it was a nice way to help myself relax.

I am sorry to say that this Tea was horrible. I have had other Vanilla Oolongs that I have greatly enjoyed but this one fell far short. I bought 16 oz of it thinking it would be like some of the others I have enjoyed but not so. I ordered 4 other teas that I would order again...just not this one

★★★★★

This tea is so delicious! It is a perfect oolong and it is naturally sweet!

★★★★★

Really fantastic, a very smooth, creamy and almost sweet vanilla without being overpowering.

It's definitely the darker side of oolong though, the batch that I got you would think was black tea.

★★★★☆

Pretty nice, though I do feel like the vanilla flavor itself isn t super strong, but rather just contributes to a general sweetness in the tea. Still nice, especially in a blend.

★★★★★

I love having some of these more basic teas on hand to mix into my own blends. This is a great one to add some of the softness of vanilla to any tea.

★★★☆☆

The vanilla flavor is nice but the quality of the oolong tea is fair. I would highly recommend the Coconut Grove Pouchong over this one.

★★★★★

Same tasting notes as the vanilla green, very good subtle vanilla if you prefer oolong

★★★★★

Very delicious tea. Strong vanilla taste with slight buttery undertones

Good for something different. If you like oolong you will like this

★★★★☆

the amount of vanilla is 'just right' ... one worries.. and sometimes the luscious aroma isn't matched in the cup. this tea delivers it's promise

This has a nice vanilla flavor. I usually use this for blending with other teas (usually black, but sometimes flavored oolongs or herbal); it adds just enough caffeine to an afternoon herbal tea for a boost and the vanilla pairs well with most flavors.

★★★★★

I am new to oolong teas, but overall this was a smooth cup. However, I found the vanilla was too subtle for my taste.

The vanilla flavor in this tea is very subtle. It is slightly more pleasant than a plain dark oolong, but nowhere near as flavorful as the maple cream oolong. I find it mixes well with other oolongs to help bring out their flavors, but not a tea that I enjoyed much on its own. The flavor is entirely gone by the rebrew.

This was okay. It is much better when added to another tea. But I will try different temperatures and steeping times to see if it improves the flavor.

Love this tea! The vanilla is so simple, but holds up well on it's own or mixed in with other teas.

★★★★☆

Good tea, love the sweet flavor of the vanilla. Most people love this, and would have more.

★★★★☆

Nice vanilla flavor it. I will typically mix with another tea to tone down a certain flavor, but this one is certainly a good one that I keep gravitating to.

★★★★★

I have raved elsewhere about Adagio’s vanilla flavouring being my favourite of any tea company I’ve tried a vanilla from, and this offers a distinct and yet familiar experience to the black vanilla that they offer. Toastier and quieter, but no less rich or relaxing, I genuinely enjoy having this in my cabinet.

★★★★☆

I find the first brew to have too much of a fake vanilla taste from the flavoring, but my partner likes it. I really like the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th brews of this tea as iced tea. The vanilla taste gets more subtle, but it's strong enough that I don't need to put sugar in it, which is great!

Has a kind of brown sugary taste. Blends nice with other flavors

★★★★★

This has become my favorite tea! After trying it in the vanilla trilogy, I went ahead and ordered the giant bag. It is the right amount of vanilla flavor. Great hot, iced, and with or without milk.

★★★★☆

This tea recalls to mind all the people who say vanilla is 'plain' or 'bland.' I don't agree with that sentiment, but while I like this tea's pleasant sweetness, it's just nice. I'm glad I tried it but prefer the almond.

★★★★★

The sweetness of the vanilla pairs well with the oolong tea. I was able to get two infusions, although the second infusion had the vanilla as more of a background note due to its prominence in the first cup. The cup of tea is very tasty, and the oolong tea adds a nice complexity to the resulting cup.

I usually love vanilla teas of all kinds but something was just a bit off about this. I'll still finish the sample I got but I'd never reach for it over my other teas, taste-wise.

★★★★★

Bought this for a friend, because its one of her favorite kinds of tea and she can't stop raving about it. I tried it for myself and I like the texture a lot and the vanilla really comes through.

★★★☆☆

fairly average vanilla, used it to mix with hazelnut tea but i think its just ok

★★★★★

This is one I tried as a sample and loved. I had a preference for sweeter teas, so this is delicious with a spoonful of honey and a tablespoon of milk.

Has the smell and taste of licorice or fennel, which I love. Perfect tea for morning or afternoon.

Best of the vanilla tea in my opinion. And the steep instructions are correct, which I typically find is not normally the case

★★★★☆

I enjoy Adagio's vanilla-flavored teas, since their vanilla is strong, warm, and authentic tasting. It's a nice take on the oolong -- the vanilla adds a rich warmth to the smooth flavors of the tea. The oolong holds up fine to a second steep, though the vanilla is mostly lost. I do miss the complexity of flavors that come from my favorite oolongs, but I guess if you're going to do a flavored tea, you are likely to miss those notes anyway. Overall, it's a nice change-up from the vanilla black tea, but it doesn't really satisfy my cravings for oolong.

the vanilla is a very soothing and comforting fragrance, also adds a very welcome undertone to the flavor.

Had to order more of this tea after I received a sample. Vanilla flavor isn t overpowering. Just an all-around satisfying cup of tea.

I’m happy with this tea. I was worried the vanilla would be overpowering or taste fake, but it was nice. I would buy this again.

Yum. Love this one, especially mixed with Blood Orange herbal—this scratches my itch for Blood Orange Sorbet.
