Well, this time is an improvement.
Both nutty oolongs and vanilla were there. However, I think I prefer the Vanilla flavored tea over this one as much as I like oolongs.
Original review (12/15/2021): Can't taste the vanilla but can definitely taste the nutty oolong. My packet must have had a bad mix.
I really thought I was going to love this after the first couple of sips. I'm learning that I enjoy oolong quite a bit. After a few more sips, however, I started picking up this odd artificial-tasting flavour on the finish. It was off-putting, which was disappointing. The vanilla was very subtle on it, too. I feel like, if I have to add vanilla creamer or whatnot to taste any vanilla, then something went wrong.
The earthiness of oolong paired with vanilla is a winning combination. I love Adagio’s darker oolongs and I adore their vanilla flavoring so this tea hits with me. You could add some sweetener but this one will drink well plain too. If you can’t decide between a terroir driven tea or a flavored sip, this tea could be the perfect compromise for your morning. Mellow, earthy oolong flavors are a beautiful base for this sip, followed by decadent buttered vanilla flavors. This sip feels like cookies and a crackling fire.
Loved this vanilla oolong with a splash of soymilk. There's a toasted note that really does remind me of sugar cookies. Yum!

Vanilla Oolong is delicious, I added a touch of sugar to bring out the vanilla flavor a bit more and enjoyed this cup of tea. Not as quite as bold as the vanilla black tea, but a velvety smooth enjoyable start to my day! I'm not sure which one I like better, but vanilla is a win in both!
It is very smooth and very vanilla'ie' a little too sweet for me but not a bad tasting tea. It smells just like it tastes
It's not so sweet I think of cookies, but I love oolongs and this makes a great milk tea.
I thoroughly enjoyed this vanilla oolong tea with strong but not overwhelming vanilla flavor and the smooth toasty flavor of the oolong. I enjoyed a second steep with a little less vanilla. Still delicious! I steeped at 200 degrees for 4 minutes.
UPDATE from 12/15/21 What a sweet vanilla aroma is emitting from the dried tea leaves when the CommuniTea packet opens. This steeps ( in a lower temp than recommended) into a light orange amber tea. The aroma is still strongly vanilla, however, that flavor is somewhat muted. The oolong is the star, without any astringency, while the vanilla is just a whisper. Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) really helps the vanilla take center stage. The tea is almost perfect in every way. It is now a lovely vanilla oolong with just enough sweetness. ( 4 mins @200ºF + ¼ teaspoon of sweetener).

This is one of my favorite flavored oolong teas! It has a nice well balanced vanilla flavor that's not overpowering or artificial tasting, and there isn't any bitterness.
The vanilla oolong tea is just that with a vanilla flavor.
this is an extremely reliable tea. when i don't want to experiment or try something new, i always go back to this one. the oolong's warm, earthy flavor compliments the smooth hint of vanilla in this very well. i recommend a bit of sugar or, preferably, honey to really blend the notes together.

I love oolong tea. This one is good on its own, but I find that I use most when creating my own custom blend as the the vanilla is light and provides an excellent base
I've never met an oolong I didn't like, and this one is no different. The creamy mouth feel of the oolong is subtly enhanced by the vanilla flavor and perfect for sipping as is. So far I've tried it sweetened with monk fruit, but I'm sure that honey or brown sugar would enhance the bakery flavors this tea provides. I will definitely be keeping this stocked in my stash.
Not bad. Vanillic for sure, but mild: I like my tea stronger.
This is good but I felt it needed a little something so I mixed it with the peach oolong. They go great together and I really enjoy this combination.
every time my coffee-loving mom accepts my offer to make her some tea, i usually go for this one and she enjoys it every time. it's comforting and simple, but i imagine it would also probably be good blended with some other teas as a base.
It's subtle but very raisin flavored, so I'm personally not a fan.
This was pretty good, but a bit too mild for my personal tastes. If you're new to oolong, or dislike the more mineral teas, you should definitely give this one a try!

The loose tea smells delicious, like vanilla ice cream. I steeped for a long time, tea tasted more oolong than vanilla.

I have to be honest: I’m obsessed with anything vanilla. It’s such a beautiful flavor; it’s like a hug for your soul, and who doesn’t like that? This tea is perfect for those quiet, peaceful mornings or when you’re in your PJs right before bed. No artificial taste or bitterness (if you brew it right), which I take issue with when drinking cheap tea from Walmart.
This is my favorite straight up vanilla tea. I love it with oolong instead of black tea.
Balances the vanilla and oolong flavors well, makes for a sweet, warm cup. Would prefer it if the vanilla was a little earthier and less artificial-tasting.

I find this Oolong tea to be very sour, with the vanilla having a somewhat sour taste. I wouldn't recommend this tea.

An instant favourite that I need to refill at the first opportunity. It's deliciously sweet even without sugar, a great way to unwind after a day of work and a fantastic blend to accompany an evening of hobby or gaming. Considering it's only moderately caffeinated, this might even be my new go-to for said evenings!

Normally I'm not a fan of vanilla teas on their own, but love them in blends. But this specific vanilla tea is the one I like best when I want to add vanilla to my blends, so I had a feeling I'd like it best when I drank it plain, too. I drank it with milk and sugar, and it was actually quite tasty. I still don't think I'd buy it to drink it straight, but it really is my favorite vanilla tea.
