I was impressed with this tea. I wasn’t sure I was going to like an oolong tea and I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious
Naturally sweet oolong from Taiwan and pure vanilla. Brown sugar, honey notes and warm cookie-like flavor.

I was impressed with this tea. I wasn’t sure I was going to like an oolong tea and I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious
This is one of my new favorites. I've been sipping on this tea for the past several days to keep me awake at work. It gives a nice little energy boost and is gentler on my digestive system than black and green teas are.
The vanilla flavor definitely gives off an aroma but the flavor is subtle. I found it drinkable but it’s impression was underwhelming
So delicious, I will say it's a bit strong of steeped longer I always add extra water to make it a little smoother
Nice subtle vanilla notes and a smooth tasting tea. Definitely would recommend and buy this tea again.
My favorite oolong to this day I love the calm gentle sweetness
I sometimes enjoy and gourmand oolong and the vanilla oolong is among one of them. It is not too strong, just right, great with honey.
Very good oolong tea. Smells like sugar cookies, and it’s not too light either. Good body on this one.
Fantastic dessert tea. It really does remind me of a vanilla cookie. When I am craving something sweet but don’t want the extra calories I turn to this tea. The fact that it’s caffeine free makes me love it even more.
While vanilla oolong isn't my favorite of the flavored oolongs that adagio has to offer, it is a good one to try if you like vanilla-flavored things. It's not very sweet, and the notes are subtle, which I appreciated.
I'm fairly new to the tea world, and I recently tried Milk Oolong and LOVED it. I ordered this one in the hopes it would be a substitute, since Milk Oolong is more expensive, and I was happy with this purchase. The vanilla scent and flavor at first seemed too strong, but after letting it sit for a bit, I was very happy with the taste!
I think this is now one of my favorite go-to teas. Depending on my mood I'll enjoy it with or without milk. The vanilla scent is strong but not so much in flavor that it detracts from the oolong.
As a huge fan of oolong tea I thought I was going to love this. I don't get the vanilla flavor at all
It's good, although I don't really taste the vanilla all that much. I like adding vanilla creamer, though, so it all works out!
Oolong has been one of my favorites for a long time. The subtle vanilla flavor is smooth and not overpowering.
Love oolong and this one does not disappoint! Delicious sweet vanilla in a comforting oolong tea. I will definitely repurchase.
a lovely dark oolong– fans of vanilla, look no further. The toasty oolong notes are a great base for the vanilla flavor, which is aromatic but not overwhelming. Has a nice warm sweetness without being 'sugary'. Very nice cup!
This tea is especially great in blends with chai spices and combined with the peach oolong tea on this site.
One of my favs. I wanted to start getting into oolong and this was a great start! #vanillaoolong4ever
Upon opening this loose leaf tea, I was enamored by it's sweet, non-artificial vanilla scent. It has quite a lovely smell when brewing and a yummy taste that would pair well with desserts or brunch. However, if I had to chose my favorite oolong from Adagio, it would not be this one. But it is a great tea, nevertheless.
This is a delicious tea, especially in autumn. I love the vanilla flavor, which tastes real, not fake.
I love mixing this vanilla with other teas to give it that sweet creamy taste. It's great with the raja oolong chai to tone down the spice. It's also nice with other fruity herbals to get a little kick of caffeine. This one will be a pantry staple.
Strangely enough, I wish both the vanilla and the oolong were a little stronger in this.
Very soothing tea, with smooth flavor. I enjoyed this one hit with my breakfast.
Vanilla is one of my favorite flavors. This tea is rich with vanilla, but better when combine with maple oolong. This combo makes my day, have every morning and does well with second seep.
Nice vanilla taste, plenty of dark oolong. I prefer others but this is good.
Oolong teas are always a gamble for me because I love black tea and hate green tea, so I figured I'd try one of adagio's flavored versions. This one definitely tastes like the base is closer to black tea, or at least the vanilla cancels out the green taste if any. Other adagio vanilla flavored teas are too light on the vanilla for my taste, but this one is perfect. This is just a really smooth, tasty tea.
Was trying to find something that was like a dragon oolong, this came close
It's a very smoky oolong, which is fine, just unexpected. Not really tasting vanilla, more like a general sweet flavor.
The Vanilla Oolong has a very natural vanilla flavor, it is somewhat bitter and not artificially sweet at all. I added some cocoa nibs and rock sugar. It was not the best flavor; however, it could've been a conflict between the cocoa nibs and/or rock sugar with the vanilla. I would still recommend this tea; however, I would just say be cautious and mindful if you plan to dress it up. I will need to experiment more to find the perfect blend.
This is a very mellow oolong tea. The added hint of vanilla puts it over the top. It was just enough , not overpowering in an oolong tea
09 May 2022 - Tried Cold Brewing overnight. Fantastic! The vanilla flavor was even more prominent!
29 January 2022 - Such an approachable oolong. Pleasant, earthy, not bitter. I brewed it lower because that's what I'm doing lately. Personally would have liked more of a vanilla flavor but the subtle notes were quite lovely.
Pretty good tea the vanilla is on point and not overwhelming .
Tastes like sugar cookies—that’s how a friend introduced this to me, and that’s what I’m sticking with too, haha. The vanilla flavor of it mixes well with a few spoons of sugar, and it gives it a mild sort of flavor that makes it pleasant to just sip on casually. It’s easy to drink for days at a time; I don’t see myself ever getting bored of it. I went first with a sample and am now getting a bigger bag, since it feels like a nice tea to have on hand for when I need something easygoing to drink!
The oolong gives this blend a very dark, earthy quality. I can’t decide if it needed a rinse or if I like that complexity… might be even more interesting mixed with other flavored oolongs, such as peach, or chocolate or hazelnut — or all of the above! Steeped 3 mins @ 200°
I like this tea even though I'm not normally an oolong drinker. The oolong gives it a nutty flavor that pairs well with the mild vanilla flavor. I prefer the vanilla black tea though. The vanilla is more present in it.
The vanilla is this tea is overwhelming; unfortunately the tastiness of the oolong does not come through. I usually enjoy a cuppa of oolong tea but this blend left me flat. My packet’s dark tea looked more like a black tea than an oolong.
Today's CommuniTea packet is vanilla oolong, made with oolong tea and vanilla. Duh. I generally like Adagio's oolong teas, and this is one that I tend to blend with other teas rather than drink on its own. The vanilla adds je ne sais quoi (while kissing my fingertips, of course) to so many other flavors. Brewed in 12 ounces of 190-degree water for three minutes.
A nice fresh vanilla flavor - both in the pouch and my cup! This went well with some sugar cookies I was given today. Enjoyed it a lot.
One of my favorite go-to-teas! I'm a bit picky with my oolongs, so if you are too: This is toasty and nutty, and while there's an almost artificialness to the balance of vanilla to oolong, if you don't oversteep it it'll come out more oolong than vanilla :3 I like blending this with other oolongs to make them a bit warmer and richer.
Opening the packet I was greeted with the aroma of vanilla. Oolong and vanilla, overall a great combination. Add a little bit of sweetener and it's perfect.
Lovely cozy vanilla sweetness on a smooth oolong base. It was wonderful plain, and adding a little sugar didn't actually make much difference to flavor.
CommuniTEA 4/25/22: this is a tea that I know I have had in different signature Blends but I am not sure I've ever had it before by itself. It was quite delicious, I used two teaspoons of sugar which was too much so I would go with only one teaspoon next time, and I brewed it at 185 instead of boiling. Overall this was a delightful oolong and I would definitely purchase this in the future.
While I wouldn't say vanilla oolong is my favorite (I'm more of a peach oolong girl) this is still a delightfully smooth and earthy tea!
This tea was just alright to me. I am not a huge fan of oolong to begin with. But if you like both oolong and vanilla you would probably like this tea.
Oolongs are for sipping. Appreciating each mouthful while you plan your day, take a break or end a meal. The addition of vanilla adds a sweet finish and a warm, pleasing aroma. Enjoying with the Communitea today and later when my own order of this delicious tea arrives.
This is smooth, toasty, and creamy. Perfect with a splash of milk!
Very nice comforting cup of tea today! I added a little cream and sugar, and it boosted the vanilla a bit. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed this cup. Not the biggest fan of oolongs, but the vanilla complimented the woodiness of the oolong well.
The mellow, earthy flavors of oolong mixed with a sweet vanilla! I enjoyed this cup of tea a lot, but I did find the vanilla flavor had a slightly more noticeable artifical sweetness to it when I got towards the final few sips.
