It smells absolutely lovely, just like freshly baked sugar cookies as the description says (Adagio wasn't kidding!) It's just a shame there wasn't the same amount of vanilla flavor in the tea. It's much more subtle, complimenting around the earthy taste of oolong tea. If you're into oolongs, this might be a fun tea to try out.

I received a sample of this with my last order and it is truly wonderful. I've been testing it with a few of the sampler boxes that I bought and I think it meshes very well with the white peach and green Apricot. But that's just me. Next time I will be sure to pick up a full bag of this deliciously wonderful smelling (And tasting) tea.

The vanilla complements the oolong really nicely without overwhelming it.

Lovely, mellow, sweet without being overpowering, I tried this tea for the first time tonight and I LOVED it! Got a sample bag and will definitely be needing more once I'm done!
★★★★★
It smells fantastic, and tasted even better. I add about half a teaspoon of sugar to each cup. I will be ordering this again.

The scent of vanilla is a little cloying, but the flavor is much milder than the smell. All in all, this is a pleasant oolong, but not monumental.

Oolong is weird. I love tea but oolong, man, it's weird. There's that... oolongyness thing, you know?
If you like that oolongy thing, this is a lovely example of it, with vanilla. I can tell it's very well done, and yet... oolongy. Yeah.

Another reviewer said this smells like sugar cookies and they were spot on!

I absolutely love the smell of this tea in the bag, smells like vanilla frosting. I was slightly disappointed that the strong vanilla didn't really carry over like I'd hoped This is a very warm smooth tea that is great with just a little sugar and cream but I wish it had more vanilla flavor.

The first thing I noticed as soon as I opened the bag was the overly sweet smell, like vanilla icing. I expected this to carry over to the flavor, but luckily it wasn't so powerful once prepared (though I didn't steep it for as long as I could have). All the same, I'm not too fond of the flavor, but that's just me. I'm sure most people who like vanilla would love this tea better than I do.

I love this tea by itself - or mixed with half oolong almond! Delicious!
★★★★★
Sugar cookies all the way... in the bag and steeped it smelled like cookie dough! Taste wise it was like fresh baked cookies and oolong tea got married. LOVE IT

This is creamy and delicious, although be very careful with brewing. Oolong can be finicky! I like to blend this with other flavors in the custom/signature blends, but on its own this is just delightful and sweet. No sugar needed! :)

Made this last night for my wife. She absolutely loved the flavor of the tea. Will be on my reorder list.

By far this is my favorite of the oolongs I've tried. It's light, tastes sweet, and smells amazing!

This is a really smooth tea. The vanilla is amazing. I make mine with a bit of honey and it tastes so good. Definitely something I'm going to buy again.

Very accurately described! If I were going to blend a tea based on a cookie, I'd definitely use this one. Absolutely delicious!

Smooth and subtle flavour. I quite like it without any sugar. Definitely a keeper.

The hint of Vanilla is just perfect.. It's hard to explain, but I really recommend it.

I really didnt like this at all. This is the only tea i gave away and wouldnt even drink. Sorry to be harsh, but it tasted like an ash tray to me.

Okay, this is my favorite vanilla flavored tea from Adagio. The mineral, slightly earthy sweet flavor of the oolong pairs well with the semi-sugary vanilla. Subsequent brews also gave a sort of oat-grain flavor as well that I really enjoyed.
★★★☆☆
s far as oolong teas go, it's alright. But don't expect heavy vanilla flavor at all.
I brewed up a couple cups of this, and honestly all I could taste was the oolong. Not a hint of vanilla flavor in sight.

Not really a very prominent vanilla flavor, and not my favorite oolong. It's not unpleasant, but it's nothing special.
★★★★☆
It's my first oolong. It's actually pretty good. Nothing spectacular, I'm not sure what I was expecting flavor wise, but I love the vanilla. The smell is more potent than after brewing. Smells like sugar cookies, but doesn't taste like it much--seems to have more of a oolong flavor with subtle vanilla.
★★★★★
Delicious hot tea. Just the right amount of vanilla.

This has quickly become one of my all time favorite teas! I adore the yummy vanilla taste!

Adagio isn't exaggerating when they compare this tea to fresh sugar cookies. A little sweetener goes a long way. I think I used a little too much, but it really brought out the vanilla flavor. The only downside is that I got this as a sample. It's going to disappear in no time.

It had a very strong smell of vanilla once I opened the bag but none of that transferred into the cup. It tasted bitter as well, it might be the way I steeped it, but I doubt I will ever buy this tea again.

Loved the creamy taste. Very warm and inviting. I can't wait to blend with other flavors

I first tried this one out in a sampler pack, and now I'm making sure to buy this when I run out! The vanilla flavor isn't overwhelming but mingles well with the smoky oolong tea.

I have ordered and loved this tea for several years. I am not sure what has been changed but this last order smelled different when I opened it up. When I tasted it, I was bowled over by the richness of vanilla. I LOVE the change!

Vanilla Oolong has a similar vanilla flavor as Vanilla Green. I'd describe the oolong as a bit 'darker' in flavor, so I think it was a good decision to make an oolong variation. I've now tried every vanilla tea on Adagio (except for decaf, that doesn't count...) and I'd say this one ranks slightly behind Vanilla Green, tying with the rooibos. Nice distinct flavor, but still smooth and blend-able. I can see this making a great bakery-inspired blend, but on its own it's just a good vanilla.

This is everything I love about Oolong with a hint of sweet vanilla. Everything I wanted from this.

This is decent, but it shows to be of lesser-quality becuase it is chopped up into smaller pieces, at least I think this means it is lower quality, - and it has a slightly watery tast.
★★★★★
A lovely, earthy vanilla tea. I'm starting to really like Adagio's oolongs.
★★★★☆
This was the first oolong I tried. It had a sweet, mild flavour.

I liked this one. I was a bit worried that the vanilla would be too strong, but it actually blended very well.

Smooth dark oolong with just the right amount of vanilla flavor. Not overpowering, just the right amount of sweetness. Very good!

This has been one of the best teas that I have ever drank. The vanilla was not overpowering, the flavor of the oolong was still able to shine. Very refreshing cup.

This is decent. Not all that strong on the vanilla flavor, however it has a sweet overall impression. Going to test it cold brewed, as it seems suited.

This one has a nice smooth and light vanilla flavor and blends well with the oolong~!

Delicate and delicious. This is what I was looking for in a vanilla tea. It's much better than the black tea.
★★★★★
By far my favorite oolong. Actually perfect. The vanilla and the oolong mix spectacularly with a little sugar. It's such a simple, pleasant flavor.

Blegh. This tea is pretty gross. The smell of the bag doesn't even resemble vanilla, but rather... something of sweet butter? It reminded me of lima beans for some reason, and I'm guessing that's coming from the oolong leaves. I didn't like it at all and luckily I only have a sample. I'm hoping when I blend it with other oolongs it'll taste better.

I think this tea could have been stronger, next time I might add another teaspoon, but it was a decent tea. I liked it with a little sugar. :D
★★★★☆
This tea has the earthiness of oolong that I love with the smoothness of vanilla. I'll order this again.
★★★☆☆
I found this disappointingly average, even though I generally love oolong. I didn't really like the combination of the fruity, raisiny notes with vanilla (at least as Adagio interprets it) as much as I expected. Adagio's vanilla, I think, goes best with honeybush.
★★★★★
The Vanilla has a wonderful nutty flavor, not too overpowering and not too weak. Perfect!
★★★☆☆
The combination sounded and smelled delicious, but the flavor was kind of floral.
