Probably the best unfurling of tea leaves I’ve ever seen! The flavor was OK. Floral notes were a little too strong for me.
Legendary and beloved oolong tea from Fujian, China. Warm, soft and soothingly mineral in texture. Notes of toasted walnut and tender collard greens. Intriguing lingering floral aroma, lightly orchid, and gentle astringency. A meditative cup.

Probably the best unfurling of tea leaves I’ve ever seen! The flavor was OK. Floral notes were a little too strong for me.
Fair tea today. I am not a fan of oolong teas. It was okay though.
tasty! it always surprises me when teas steep so light and clear, I think i definitely prefer lighter cups like this
A little grassier than I usually like my teas, but it has a nice buttery taste that makes it less distasteful.
I prefer darker oolongs. This one was delicate, but still packed a lot of flavor. I enjoyed it well enough to drink the entire cup, but not well enough to purchase more.
It seems like there is a lot of tea in my packet today so I only steeped half since the leaves will open up exponentially. 2 min @ 165. Nice clear pale green liquor. Delicious light flavor, the barest hint of floral aroma, very smooth. I still don't know what 'mineral' taste is, my palate is underdeveloped. I will happily resteeps all day as I enjoy green Oolong. Cheers!
An incredible scent when I opened the package, sweet and herbal. I wish I got more of those scents in the flavor of the tea itself. This is a very light oolong, sweet and floral but not particularly strong. I brewed first a little cooler than recommended (as I usually do), and got almost no flavor, but my second brewing was at precisely 195 for three minutes and it still came out quite light. Lovely if you want something pleasant and airy, a bit weak for me personally.
I’m afraid this tea is just not for me. T brewed it at 195 for 2 minutes in an effort to lessen the grassiness, but I found it to be very floral as well as grassy. This is just due to my personal tastes. Others list these tastes as the very reason they love it, so it just depends on your personal preferences. I certainly would encourage you to give it a try.
A bit grassy vegetal, a bit mineral, with a hint of floral.
wow the fragrance knocked me out - suddenly surrounded by spring flowers on this december day. tasted all the notes though it is very mild (steeped 3 min) and almost flavorless? I ate a piece of ginger before I drank it and now wish I hadn't. I love oolongs and this is a slightly magical one.
I loooved this tea. 190F with two short 10 sec rinses to unfurl the leaves a bit. (I rinse all my tight rolled oolongs). Crisp and earthy vegetal taste and aroma. Lingering aftertaste for me of almost a feeling of petrichor, hard to explain in words I guess. My first confusion was brewed in cup and strained but for the next two so far I’m drinking it grandpa style with no deteriorating in quality.
This is a truly wonderful green oolong tea that can be steeped 3 times. I found the first two were heavenly with a buttery, smooth flavor. The third was a bit lacking but still quite acceptable. I steeped at 195 degrees for 3 minutes and it needs nothing added.
The aroma of this tea is amazing, with hints of orchid, honey, and roasted nuts. It fills the room with a pleasant fragrance that makes me feel calm and happy. The tea is a clear, pale yellow color that sparkles in the light. The leaves are dark green and tightly rolled, and they unfurl beautifully in hot water. This tea has a smooth, floral, and slightly nutty flavor. It is smooth, rich and slightly sweet, with notes of toasted walnut, collard greens and mineral, with lingering aftertaste. The tea has a gentle astringency that balances the floral and nutty notes, and a soothing effect that calms the mind and body. This tea is perfect for multiple infusions, as each steeping reveals new layers of flavor and aroma. The tea has a soothing and relaxing effect, and deserves its reputation as the 'iron goddess of mercy'. Maybe you can tell by the review, but in case there is any doubt, I love, love, love, this tea.
This tastes like flowers smell. I love jasmine tea and lavender teas but the floral taste is too heavy for me here. Might be better in a blend.
Sadly, I did not enjoy this one. I like oolongs, but the vegetal taste of this one was overwhelming and not even a teaspoon of honey could calm it down. I also grabbed a pack of Belvita biscuits to have along side it so I could finish the cup.
This is so good. I love oolong so this is a no brainer but this is the most flavorful oolong. Floral and grassy.
The oolongs that have my heart are the darker varieties like Wuyi and Formosa. However, I won’t deny that this is a great example of a green oolong, whose flavors are more floral and honey, with a rich creaminess to the sip. This will be a multiple steeper, so save it for a day where you can kick back and relax. Happy Sipping!
This is a pretty nice oolong, as the lighter ones go. I steeped it lower than recommended and it wasn't as vegetal as it could have been. That left more of the buttery mouthfeel and the mineral characteristics. I probably wouldn't go out of my way for it, but I did enjoy it. Steeped 2 min @ 185º.
I really didn't get what the fuss was about with the first steep; just a dull green tea. Where's the oolong?? Then came the second steep...far less vegetal, smooth with a hint of floral, and yes, a light nuttiness came forward. Do not rush this tea, let it slowly do its thing! It's not like any other oolong. This one has to be nurtured, but it's worth it.
It smells very vegetal? that is when you first open the packet, and then you can smell hints of it throughout ! I wasn't able to get the most of it because of time however, it was delightfully floral. It is reminiscent of green tea, and a little earthy!! Sweet on its own too, but a touch of brown sugar won't hurt.
Should be steep at 1.5 to 2 minutes. You'll know when you've over steeped it if turns out super grassy. I have noticed this tea tastes best when it's warm instead of hot.
This smells like the perfume of our flower garden and has a delicate and delicious flavor. I enjoyed it hot, haven't tried it iced, but it was a different flavor that I've ever had and love it!
I love this tea. It has very light floral notes and is a very smooth tea. It has a slight mineral finish and is very soothing.
Oolong Tea is great for soothing the stomach after eating greasy or spicy foods. I picked up my first tin backpacking through Taiwan, and have made sure to keep it in stock in my pantry ever since. The TiKuanYin blend here is the best I've found since that backpacking trip, smooth and with an earthy aftertaste. Very soothing to my stomach.
Unfolded beautifully in the gaiwan and lasted multiple steepings. Could probably have gotten more out of it if I had wanted to
My number one favorite oolong of all time -- strong bodied but smooth, with a bit of a refreshing, minerally taste.
Beautifully delicate but also complex flavor, and the way the tea leaves unfurled while steeping was mesmerizing. Obsessed!
Floral, complex, smooth. Not as floral as Golden Flower, but has more depth of flavor. Second infusion is even better than the first. A very good oolong!
This tea is an all-time favorite of mine- and ignited my passion for everything Wuyi
This oolong tea has a pleasant floral note on the aroma and taste. I brewed it cooler than usual with good results.
A nice, smooth flavor. I'm beginning to lose my desire for green tea in favor of chai varieties, which I've become addicted to - but this is a go-to for days when I want a greener flavor.
A medium quality Ti Kuan Yin that's priced appropriately. I would totally recommend this if you're looking for Ti Kuan Yin to drink more regularly as the higher end harvests can get REAL pricey. It has the light roasted, floral, mineral-y goodness that Ti Kuan Yin is known for.
By far my favorite tea. It has almost floral notes but isn’t overpowering at all. It’s naturally sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet. I can’t stress how delicious this tea is. It is the one that got me hooked on tea
Lovely a floral oolong, I followed the instructions to brew the first cup I fell in love with but have also greatly enjoyed seeping it in cold water for a few hours. It hasn't been tanniny as long as I cold brew it or follow the instructions and it's been good to me with a second seep
It has that special taste that you look for in this type of tea that you can't find elsewhere with a heavy hint of floral flavors. Very nutty and delicious. The best parts of it show when you brew it strong
Best Ti Kuan Yin tea I've ever had. Clean, fresh, pure tea... very good!! Love it. Bought it again.
Ok: this is legitimately my favorite tea. I'm new to the tea world, and I've been trying to find a cheaper alternative to Milk Oolong, so I ordered a bunch of different tea samples and different kinds of Oolong, and this one was my 'splurge' sample -- 100% worth every penny!! Will definitely be ordering a larger portion next time.
Great oolong! So much better than the cheaper alternatives
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this tea. It's subtle floral notes are quite enjoyable. Every cup surprises me with new flavors and aromas.
I really enjoyed this oolong tea. The flavor is smooth. A new favorite.
Wow! I really enjoyed this tea. It had a very beautiful fragrant scent in the cup and a soothing flavor. I had not heard of this tea until recently. I look forward to trying some other similar teas, but will definitely order this one again.
This is my favorite Oolong tea leaf. I have tried other brands and only a couple are as tasty as Adagio's. I like the bright clear, sweet taste that is never too bitter if steeped 3-4 minutes. This tea is a great mental energy booster for me also. To update my review, I am still purchasing this tea, I miss it if I don't have it on hand. It is very grounding for me. Tastes like flowering minerals, light, fruity, yet strong in it's flavor. I think it is good for me. I drink so much of this tea it is just one of my very favorites.
Very nice green oolong tea. Not as strong as typical ti kuan yin tea but very nice subtle flavor. New order of this tea continues to be fantastic.
An oolong closer to green on the spectrum. Tasty, complex, and flavorful.
Delicious! Incredible! Fantastic! Spectacular! Will be buying again.
the floral flavor is very strong, so if that does it for you then give it a try.
good stuff, liked by everyone i give it to auch frohe
This tea has a subtle but very pleasant flavor. I reordered after getting a portion of it and it is worth it!
Ti Kuan Yin, my love. This is probably one of my favorite teas. One that I go through very quickly after ordering and then save the last bit for a long time because I don't want to be out of it. I think the only downside would probably be the pricing on this compared to other teas I highly favor. So I do tend to buy it less frequently. But it is still on my repeat buy list more. I'm horrible at describing tea flavors. But I enjoy the subtleness of the oolong.
I really enjoyed trying this tea out. I don't know if I'd include it in my regular rotation but it does taste pretty good.
