I've never had an oolong tea before this, and this one was impressive. Perhaps it's because I'm not as well-versed in teas, but the flavor, the smell - all of it was good. I'll certainly be ordering more of this one.
This Shui Xian is a high fired, medium grade oolong with a rich-tasting amber cup and nuances of minerals, apricots and spice.

Rich, earthy flavor. Well-rounded, not bitter. A new favorite!
Slightly woody but lighter Oolong flavor. Different but not in a bad way.
Wow, it tastes like it was brewed with fresh water from a rocky spring. First cup and I'm completely sold. ETA: Still good on its second infusion
This is a unique flavor that I haven't experienced before. When I smell the leaves it comes across as strongly smokey, but after steeping you get a subtle tea with a pleasant mineral quality overall. It's a pretty weak tea, so to some extent it does taste like drinking hot rainwater. Not something I'd buy all the time, but it's nice for a change of pace. Steeping 2 minutes and resteeping 3 minutes seems to work well.
I long steep this at 50% of the recommended amount of tea. Makes it affordable. I get a consistent flavor whereas multiple steeping gives a different flavor each time. Some like that; I personally do not.
I bought the bigger quantity of this tea because for some reason I thought I had it before and liked it. Well, not so much. When I opened the package to transfer to an airtight canister and to make a pot last night, the scent immediately got my attention. It was sort of smoky and not very pleasant actually. I went ahead and made the pot of tea and found the flavor was well, acceptable but a little different. Oddly enough, I didn t tell my husband who was also having tea what I was tasting and thinking. I just asked him how his tea was and very surprisingly to me, he liked it and said it was good. I didn t respond because sometimes you can put thoughts into people s head about something that weren t there before. I will make it until it gone, however, I will not buy it again. It just wasn t my cup of tea.
This tea is a bit strange. The description says it has a peachy flavor, with a 'rock-taste'. Personally I would says its peachy with a smoky after-taste.
I steep oolongs in the gaiwan and this one is nice. Lots of robust flavors.
Perfect when I'm in the mood for a bracing full bodied cuppa! Rich notes of cocoa and heavy mineral taste. Very satisfying flavor.
This tea just tastes clean and pure. I don’t know how else to describe it - well, except to say it’s delicious, too. It reminds me of burbling streams where the water is so clear you can see the colorful pebbles beneath its surface. The mineral taste is definitely there and I find it soul-soothing. Highly recommended!
A nice simple tea that reminds me of rainy days everytime I drink it. Smooth, with a nice mineral-y taste and slight spice to it.
A nice oolong. I may start alternating between it and the Jade Oolong.
Decent Oolong. Has a reasonably broad brew tolerance (time and temp).
An overall good Oolong. Flavor is crisp and complex. I prefer my tea to be a bit stronger so I steep it for about a minute longer than recommended.
Really enjoy this tea. Got good body but not bitter. Really like having a cup when having a busy day
This was exactly what I was looking for! It tastes exactly like the tea at my fav Asian restaurant! So nice with a little bit of sweetener!!
so tasty love this tea!!! so great,
Wonderful tea!!! Need to prepare the right way though for the perfect taste!!
Complex and bold. Slightly mineral and toasty without any trace of oat or grain flavor to it. Good for multiple steepings and my own personal favorite tea.
Very nice oolong tea. Earthy and mellow with some tannin flavors and a nice astringency.
I bought this on the recommendation of one of the tea experts at the shop...she was not wrong...tastes great!
Yummy tea. It provides a nice alternative to our usual go to of Formosa Oolong.
This is a delicious but cheaper alternative to wuyi. I've enjoyed it very much and will order again.
I was expecting a little better quality than generic restaurant level Shui Hsien, but aside from a slightly earthier taste... Nothing too unique for a tea enthusiast's palette consideration.
Large, beautifully-twisted whole leaves scented of ripe banana, sweet grass and toasty rye grain unfurl to create a silky-smooth brew with no astringency whatsoever. It is quite mineral up front with notes of roast sweet potato and fresh rain on sun-warmed rock steaming after a brief shower on a sultry summer afternoon. Really nice!
An earthy, rustic oolong. A nice flavor overall. Definitely worth a try
This smells of a fresh spring hidden in a mountain trail. You have to make sure you stock up in it by February though because it won’t be a available again til November
Slightly less flavoursome than dancing aria but excellent oolong
I'll try most things at least once - and this tea's description sounded awesomely weird. As it turns out this is a really great tea. It's right at the point were it could be really harsh or rather lackluster. As it is, it comes out smooth and bracing. Add a little cream and this has helped me burn the midnight oil many times.
I really enjoyed this darker oolong tea. It is not too 'heavy' or 'overly roasted'. You can brew this one fairly light as well. I tried a sample first, but I'm buying larger quantities now. Very nice oolong.
I love this 'Fujian Rain' It's similar in taste to the 'Wuyi Ensemble' -- it has that mineral rock flavor along with the 'peachy' oolong notes, although not being as light and delicate as the Wuyi. The Fujian Rain has a beautiful light roasted quality to it that really brings out a more pronounced sesame flavor. This is easily one of my favorite teas.
Still one of the most amazing teas. It tastes like minerals and earth. Pure comfort tea.
So so delicious! Have to concur with everyone else here, there is a great mineral-like taste to this tea unlike any other I've tasted. Really refreshing; I bought a sample size and will certainly be buying more!
A very strong oolong with hints of peach and strong mineral notes.
Halfway between green and black tea, although I wish it was smokier
I really like this tea, it has that lovely scent that plants and flowers give off in the rain, so the name is kind of perfect. This is definitely a must try for anyone who likes oolong.
Very smooth. I have it every day at work. Now my colleagues are hooked on it.
Crisp, distinct, and pleasant flavor. One my favorites from the oolong selection
Complex depth of flavor and beautiful large leaves.
Simple and delicious. The tea had a smooth texture that I really liked.
I originally bought this tea as a sampler, and its aroma and sweetness makes it enjoyable.
dark earthy great tea...must try and combine with a little green tea
It's good, but I prefer the Jade Oolong over this one. I think the flavor is a little too strong for me.
Very earthy with lingering notes of slight metallic taste.
Very nice. Had it hot with half and half but would also be good iced.
WOW, this tea does not disappoint from its fragrance to its delicious flavour.
First time trying an Oolong tea. Has a very different flavor than I'm used to, but still very smooth and flavorful. Interested to see what the other Oolongs hold in store.
This has become one of my absolute favorites. It has layers of flavor. This is one to savor and think about each sip. This kind of tea is why I drink tea. It is a great quality tea.
I liked this one a lot- very refreshing and complex.
