Very good Oolong tea, to me it tastes nutty but I haven't seen anyone else say this. I made it Gong Fu style.
This Shui Xian is a high fired, medium grade oolong with a rich-tasting amber cup and nuances of minerals, apricots and spice.

Very good Oolong tea, to me it tastes nutty but I haven't seen anyone else say this. I made it Gong Fu style.
A delicious tea! One of my favorites! It has a great light flavor.
My favorite oolong: has a nice depth of color and flavor. The apricot aroma is strongest on first infusion, the oak-y/mineral taste lingers pleasantly even after the second and third infusions.
Pretty good green tea. Wanted to try a different type of green and I enjoyed this a lot
Fujian rain in the bag smells like raisins but once brewed is completely different. It has a very vegetal and mineral taste, I didn t get any of the fruity notes in this. It tastes more like well water than rain water, not entirely unpleasant but not what I was hoping for.
This oolong is a decent tea. For me personally I liked the tea but i probably won't order it again.
Fujian rain is a light oolong. Pleasant, but subtle. The butterscotch notes from the aroma lightly carried through to the steeped tea.
Absolutely love this tea iced! Very refreshing. Will purchase again.
...this actually does taste like the air smells on a rainy spring day: earthy, maybe a little musty, with a clean finish in the mouth. Best consumed when inside, looking out at a spring or summer storm.
Absolutely love love LOVE this tea. I wasn t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, actually. I was mostly intrigued by the name (I m a Pisces, so rain, water, yeah...). Seriously, though, this is a super refreshing and thirst-quenching tea, and this is after only trying it hot, when it s probably even more so cold. Also, let it be known that I like my teas sweetened, like all of them... but I didn t even want to add any honey to this one because I just couldn t bring myself to change the nature and the flavor of this tea. The mineral-y taste definitely comes through. It s a taste that evokes the smell of rain. I will definitely have to order more of this and try it iced.
Complex and earthy. A nice chance to splurge without going overboard
This tea is a clear and smooth green tea. It has a light and subtle taste that I find quite delicious! It does not get very bitter if steeped too long as most green teas do. It has a pleasant, sweet, and cool taste like the smell of freshly-cut bamboo. I think of the dew occupying a bamboo forest after a heavy rain when I drink this tea.
The flavor was richer than I had expected. It's a bit smoky at first, with hints of roasted cedar wood, moving on to a mild mineral flavor with a sweet finish. The second infusion is just as good as the first.
Very, very good. Earthy and slightly orange-like. I want to say that it's blood orange. All I know is that it's almost addictive and one that I couldn't really stop drinking. Sweetened with Stevia.
It took me a bit to decide if I fully liked this one or not. It's the most complex flavor I've ever tasted from a single ingredient tea. It's a bit weedy, a bit nutty, a little bit herbal but still a smooth green. It goes down well with a bit of honey but be wary of over steeping. The conclusion is a thumbs up.
Tastes like tea from Asian restaurants. Very mellow and wonderful fragrance
This smoky oolong is perfect for a cold afternoon. The leaves unfurl to a beautiful light brown and the flavor is uniquely sharp and autumnal. Plus: This tea is very voluminous, so you get more cups per ounce! Three ounces of this is almost double what three ounces of a standard black tea might be.
Very smooth, rich, yet delicate tea - one of my favorites that I’ve tried here
Great taste not all bitter. First brew 1 1/2 minutes, 3 minutes for the second brew. I use the large ingenuitea teapot with 700 ml water. same comments
It was good, just didn t stand out to me as a must-have
I like this but definitely enjoying the jade oolong taste more. This one is not as floral as I like my oolong to be.
I brew this longer than the package recommends. 6 minutes for the first brew and 10 for the second. Definitely one of my favorite teas.
This tea is mild tea with oolong nuances. Would definitely purchase again!
First impression: Interesting, weird, probably not my cup of tea. By the end of the cup, I had changed my tune. From Adagio's description, I was expecting a flavor similar to the Wuyi Ensemble. This was not at all the case. Very distinctive honey notes (not sure about 'peachy' though).
I haven't had much luck with Oolong teas so far, but this was definitely a treat. For me, I've gotten a distinct nutty taste and smell at points, and I also could taste smoke, or wood.
But theres a sweetness to it that I can't quite place, probably from the honey and apricot. The aftertaste can be astringent, but overall, it's definitely an interesting tea. One I want to try more of.
Mellow Green tea that works GREAT as a kombucha tea.
medium grade dark oolong. aroma is sweet, which is nice. get 3 good infusions starting at 1 minute and tacking on 30 seconds each subsequent infusion at water temp. of 200. taste charateristics are fine, tea has meduim body, and pleasantly flavorful. i give it three stars because i have tasted better at this price point and deduct another point because i reserve 5 stars for very rare teas of good value AND exquisite taste.
This oolong has a nice earthy flavor and smell. This tea reminds me of that earthy smell during and after a rain storm.
A good dark tea for early morning on the way to work
This is such a nice tea to just enjoy whenever. It's very soothing.
I'm not always a fan of oolong, but I love this one - it makes a good, neutral cup without being boring, and it steeps well in the 2-3 minute range.
Good, well rounded flavor without bitterness. Needed a stir to get the leaves to fully unfurl and brew.
This was a one-off for me, I m not normally an oolong person. It s perfectly drinkable, just not my preferred brew.
Loved it- it was a little on the weak side as prepared on the package (1 heaping teaspoon per cup)
Not a bad tea at all-- just personally not for me, I think it was a bit too earthy.
Perfect for an every day Oolong. Not too bitter. Very nice mouth feel and taste. Stands up to two or three steepings with same leaves without too much loss.
Exploring the teas, glad to of tried this one out.
Tastes like a less bold, less chocolaty Fujian Baroque.
Wonderful! Well-balanced and refreshing, with a touch of sweetness. On average, I prefer the lightly oxidized oolongs, but this was quite the exception. Will be ordering again!
I really enjoy this tea. I especially like it iced with a few jasmine yin hao pearls tossed in. It truly does have a very pleasant mineral taste that does remind me of how it smells outside after rain. Give this one a try.
1/11/14 I think this is probably my favorite tea from adagio. It is truly unique and well worth the fair price. Fujian rain has definitely inspired me to try other teas from the Fujian Provence.
12/12/17
I've drank this tea faithfully for years now and it continues to be my favorite oolong for daily sipping. Always consistent in flavor and worth every penny.
Not normally a big fan of mineral tasting teas, but this one was not bad.
I tried this as my first oolong. I wanted to try the cheaper ones and work my way up so that way if I was disappointed I could blame it on it being cheap. I was quite impressed with this tea and it's distinct flavor.
One of my all time favorites - good oolong for an excellent price!
One of my favorite oolongs from Adagio, nice and flavorful
This is my absolute favorite oolong tea. Smooth and buttery.
The fujian oolong was a really tasteful tea, easy for multiple infusions
A good everyday drinking oolong... Nothing really special about this. Just your average rock oolong...
Lovely leaves, gentle as rain...understated and classy.
This tea definitely varies depending on how it's brewed. I'm still learning how to manipulate the temperatures and steeping times to bring out different flavors, but I can say the first steeping has a strong grassy flavor, while in subsequent steeps it is noticibly milder. As a beginner with anything other than bags of Lipton, I quite enjoyed the complexity of this.
First oolong I have tried and I am happy with this choice. The 'mineral taste' description intrigued me and although I was hoping for the mineral taste to be a tad more pronounced, I was overall really pleased with this tea.
