I used to really like this but I find it varies from season to season - so, since I purchased this in 2018 or 19, it may have come right this year. One can never be certain why a tea doesn't turn out as good as in the past. Maybe it's in the fermentation/roasting, or who knows what.

I didn't understand what people meant when they said this has peachy-honey notes until I opened the bag and got a whiff. That description is right on the money! Personally, I enjoyed the mineral tones but not that slight fruitiness, so it's not the oolong for me, but if that's your preference, it's certainly worth a try. Like most oolongs, it's good for more than one steep.

This has got a complex 'interesting' flavor that makes me want to take another sip to see if I can better identify its smell and flavor. When dry, smells like apricot or sun-dried tomatoes. In the cup, it turns more earthy, like the woods after a rain. Leather or pipe tobacco. Like cooked mushroom, has sweetness and umami. Holds up well on re-steeps.

Kind of mild for a black tea. Didn't pack too much of a punch but still very aromatic.

This is very nice tea. Delicate and complex. Peachy nose and flavor. Tastes like it has nectar in it. Light yet flavorful. Refreshing due to its minerality. Steeps well a 2nd time at 200F and 2:30 min. Favorite tea I’ve tried from adagio so far. 4 grams of leaf @ 6 oz of water

This is a very light tea in my opinion. Add an extra tsp but it tastes great.

I'm not the biggest fan of normal tea but this is sooooo delicious!

OMG this is perfection made tea. Delicate and sweet flavor.

Pleasantly smooth, with good flavor. Slightly bolder/darker than many of the other oolongs I've tried from Adagio, which I like. Works great for multiple infusions. The leaves expand a lot in the steeping.

This tea has gorgeous full leaves that open nicely when brewed. A wonderful complexity with roasted caramel notes. Full-bodied mouth feel.

Ok, but not a favorite, will not buy again. Reminds me of Twinings Russian Caravan, with a grain like flavor.

First, the bags themselves are lovely, amd much easier for brewing at work. The tea is a classic oolong -- I usually prefer the more floral Taiwanese type oolong, but this one is pure nostalgia: it tastes exactly like the tea from my family's favorite Chinese restaurant when I was a kid. Slightly roasty but with a complex brightness that balances it well.

Brews a yellow color. Has some roasty notes. Not picking up any stone fruit or honey. 2.5

My favorite oolong from adagio so far, and I’ve tried a lot of them. This one is darker leaning and full of rich, dried fruit flavor, but what really stands out is the mineral flavor that it has. I found this tea very comforting. As someone who is into darker oolongs (yes, I know my brewing time is a bit long), it can strong but light and is available to many different brewing times and temperatures.

Earthy and complex. I love the smell of this one. A little smokey, a little like fresh grains, a little like new soil. It s surprisingly sweet and fruity to start off, but the mineral earthiness lingers on the tongue with just a hint of pepper at the very end.

Its woodsy flavor and light body creates a calming cup. I love it drinking it without sweetener.

I've had my eye on the fujian rain since I started ordering tea from Adagio, so I'm pleased to finally have a chance to try it. It's a solid, toasty oolong with nice strong mineral/barley notes. It was enjoyable fresh out of the pot and even after it had cooled quite a bit. Like many of Adagio's premium varieties, this one needed no help (other than a proper steep) to shine. (3 mins @ 195 F, no sweetener or cream)

I've had this tea before and really enjoyed it. I think the taste matches the description very accurately. It makes my mouth feel dry when I drink it for some reason.

While I do pick up mineral notes, the overwhelming character of this tea to me was the rich roasted flavor. It wasn’t smoky, but rather had an almost toasted taste, with plenty of body. I really enjoyed the sample.

Always been a fan of oolong and this one nailed it. This is the first straight oolong i have actually and still enjoyed. (CommuniTEA)

I am not a fan. This tea tasted like a greasy leaf pile.

This really tasted like coffee to me. I wasn’t impressed.

I love oolongs and this one is top notch! It’s got a fantastic mineral mouthfeel!

I'm missing the words I want to use to describe this one. Earthy, a good earthy, but sweeter on later steeps. Other reviews said it has a mineral taste and I wasn't sure what that was, but upon tasting, they are right.

Toasted, nutty, slight minerally flavor. I like greener oolongs but this was a nice tea.

I didn't taste any of the fruity notes the tea is purported to have, but it was still very pleasant. It's earthy, with a subtle smoky flavor not unlike tobacco. Better than it sounds, especially if you're a fan of oolongs.

Very enjoyable and good for multiple steepings, if done right. I really enjoy this with toast and raspberry jam--give it a try!

Wow this was a complex tea! It held up beautifully to multiple steeps. The first step was a bit minerally and earthy, but not in an unpleasant way. The second steep produced some of the peach and sweet honey notes, putting the mineral flavors further back. The third steep- which I admittedly forgot about and let brew for close to 10 minutes- was amazing. It deepened the sweeter flavors, and provided a short spicy taste with each sip. A fourth reverted back to the original minerally taste. I added a small amount of sugar to each cup. Quite a fun tea!

The shape of the tea leaves & the earthy woodsy smell out of the packet intrigued me. Solid oolong. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA October box.

I really like this tea! Nice and strong, kind of an earthy smell to it. Mixed some of my friend's homemade pumpkin spice honey into it, and it was absolutely delicious!

Lovely! Started with a 15 second hot rinse before brewing. The cup had an enjoyable warming savory toastiness, like toasted sesame, almost a coffee grounds note, and a nice mineral finish. A slight pepperiness gradually came out. Earthy, like a walk along a stream in the woods in the rain, when someone's recently put out a camp fire. I didn't taste the peach notes, but there was a very slight sweetness. My second steep was a darker color, and produced a slightly softer cup, without any coffee grounds notes, and a lighter mineral quality. I did a third steep, too, which was also enjoyable. I drank this plain, unsweetened.

I did enjoy this tea but it’s not a must have. The bag smelled grassy. The steeped tea smelled similar. The taste was earthy. I did not get any peach to my taste. Nice tea but I won’t be ordering it. There are other oolongs I like more.

Ah, an oolong, my favorite! The aroma of this is like toasted oats, light and almost coffee-like. The flavor is rich and mineral with a bit of a cocoa undercurrent. This isn't as mineral as the regular wuyi oolong, and makes for a more mellow cup, perfect for the morning. 2.5mins at 212F

I was happy to see today's CommuniTea choice as it's one I enjoyed a lot when I tried the Oolong Portions sample of it. This oolong has a wonderfully rich and complex flavor. There is a lovely hint of cocoa both the scent of the tea, as well as the taste. It's got a wonderfully earthy flavor and as it cools I can notice more honey undertones to the taste. It's a great sipping tea and was perfect for today's post-lunch cup.

Tasted as part of Adagio's CommuniTea. Fujian Rain has a strong earth and wood scent, but the flavor is a smokey and sweet honey, maybe a little caramel. As far as peach is concerned, I don't pick up on any fruitiness but maybe a little of the bitter and earthy peach pit? A good oolong, glad I got to try it.

Some foggy rainy days you need a tea to warm you..one that is simple and rich. This is that tea...just a good smooth ahhh cup!

I am loving oolongs more and more with each one I try. This one is wonderfully earthy. I taste the mineral and honey notes, but not so much the peach. Maybe with a second or third steeping.

I can taste the honey and mineral notes, but not the peach.
It has some of the astringent factors I associate with oolong but better than most.
