A smooth, everyday kind of oolong. Holds up to multiple steeps.
This Shui Xian is a high fired, medium grade oolong with a rich-tasting amber cup and nuances of minerals, apricots and spice.

A smooth, everyday kind of oolong. Holds up to multiple steeps.
I'm no tea connoisseur and it is hard to describe the many sensations one has when drinking this tea. All I can say is that it 'hits the spot'. Its flavor is just right: not too strong and not too soft, not too bitter, not too sweet, not too anything, and not too little of anything either. This is simply a well rounded good tea and I warmly recommend it.
This tea has a really good floral taste but I was hoping for a stronger mineral taste to it but still a solid tea
Very solid oolong, tastes like smoke and roasted vegetables. It's so fortifying that drinking a cup feels like having a big meal all on it's own. I couldn't catch any discernible change in taste after trying multiple steeps however, but it is very satisfying all the same.
I brewed this cold overnight. It's a nice lightly toasty oolong. Definitely a new favorite.
I wanted to love this one, based on all the descriptions (who can resist drinking a cup of primal, underground water that has been cleansed by a clean, glittering cave rock?!) but it fell a little short of my expectations. I don't think it is the tea so much as my personal preference; I'm finding that I love green teas and pu-erhs. Oolongs, not as much. It is good, don't get me wrong. Just not my favorite. It has a bit of astringency, although it is hearty and definitely earthy. I think I might prefer the greener oolongs rather than this really dark one. More fun sampling to come!
I love winter and rainy days. This tea fits perfectly into those moody moments. Delightful relaxation tea.
Of the three oolongs from Adagio I have tasted, this is my favorite. It has a delicious roasted flavor.
Outstanding high fire Oolong that has a great depth to the flavor. It is more of a complex, mineral taste than a fruity one, but still very good. I used gong fu brewing and really enjoyed it.
This is interesting tea. It s light but bold at the same time. It a refreshing and just perfect for some moods. This is one that I would get again!
This is a mild oolong tea. I enjoy the flavor of it and would definitely recommend
One of my favorites. Jade Oolong is my number 1 choice, this is number 2
To put it simply, if you’ve had a formosa oolong, it falls into that arena. And I love formosa oolongs! It’s lighter on my stomach than other dark oolongs I’ve tried and has that same “roasty-toasty” taste with a hint of something sweet(like fruity). I could easily drink this daily or as a lovely dessert tea!
It has a wonderful aroma. I got it for my bf but he hasn't tried it yet (moving stress) but I'll be updating it asap. I think I'll try some with him, with how good it smells.
A really good oolong tea.pretty smooth tatse.another great tea from adagio.
This tea is a nice introduction to some of the more traditional, earthy teas Adagio has to offer. Each cup offers up a delicious blend of spices and minerals, and you can certainly taste the quality of the tea with each sip. The perfect tea for those who tend to enjoy more traditional, earthy blends.
A mild but still delicious tea, stands up well to multiple steeps
I like this... it s kind of mellow and musty, and does remind me a little bit of how soil smells after the rain. I d get this again!
Not sure what to say here, other than, 'Good, it was good.' It is another pretty straightforward tea, where the complexities can get lost pretty easily, so careful to brew at the right time and temperature.
Smoky and delicious. I got the sample just to be safe, this being my first ever oolong. This tea was like the most wonderful punch in the face. I was able to steep 4 times. I wasn’t able to completely pick the flavor profile over, but I’ll order another larger bag and get to learning!
Compared to the Fujian Orchard, this tea is a little stronger in taste but has quite a mellow flavor.
Good flavor but much lighter than I prefer. Brew as recommended.
This really nice and super earthy in my opinion. I enjoy this!
Very good. Comes close to the taste of some of the really expensive masters collection teas, but on a much more economical scale.
Very good tea to drink warm, or cold. I mix this tea with a few others.
Still experimenting with other teas, so far it is good with: Lemon soleil, Puer Chorange and a little bit of cream.
Using it to make my tea blend for kombucha. Works wonderfully for it!
I haven't tried many oolongs. It has a really interesting mineral taste. I'm looking forward to brewing it again.
Very weak in flavor and strength. Might work for some people, but not for me.
I love this a lot! The flavor somewhat reminds me of the hojicha green tea in a way. Not as dark, but earthy soothing with a buttery taste. I definitely want more when I run out. New favorite oolong! Good for multiple steeps. I'm on my second and plan to try for more.
In spite of all my tea drinking years, I had never been sure if I would like oolong, and somehow I managed to wait until now to try it. I can't speak for other oolongs but this strikes the perfect balance between green and black.
Absolutely love this tea. It is perfect especially on a cold day.
This was a little flat. I was wanting more of the flavor notes mentioned in the description- but didn't get any of those. It was just an ok darker oolong.
Great bang for the buck. It is a fairly roasted oolong, and it has the usual earthy, wood type notes from that. It has the expected 'mineral' flavors, but it is nicely balanced by mild sweetness in the background. A nice change of pace from the greener oolongs. An easy and satisfying drink. It takes multiple steeps pretty well.
This is an earthier more astringent tea, closer to a black tea.
This is one of my favorites! It sparkles with magic and illusion. Tastes like a fairy tale. A great tea when you just want to be elevated in mood.
Excellent for a change in venue, change in attitude. Steep when ready to tackle the day.
Decent taste, but is hard to portion using a teaspoon due to the large leaf size.
This is an unusually delicious tea. Such depth of flavor! I immediately put it on my 'order next time' list. My husband and I are delighted with this sample and look forward to having it as a staple in our tea cupboard.
I really enjoy this tea. It is mineraly and earthy, and also has a fruity, sweet flavor. Easy to drink, multiple infusions. Great choice for everyday.
Beautiful tea to look at and to drink. Steeped leaves 3 times and each cup was delicious.
A solid, fruity, oolong that I have almost every day.
I don't know how you are supposed to get a teaspoon of tea with such huge leaves. I'm going to add more next cup to see if that will give it any more flavor but I'm about to write off oolongs in general as a tea I just don't care for.
I bought this tea as a cheaper alternative to Wuyi Ensemble, and I can honestly say it s a fierce competitor in terms of taste. It doesn t have quite the same minerally taste to it, which I really enjoyed in the Wuyi (which might be justification enough for me to pick up a sample anyway), but it has this smoky, roasted flavor that I like almost as much. I knew from the first sip of this tea that Fujian Rain is going to be a staple in my pantry for a long time to come.
A very light tea. Needs lots of leaves for flavor, but pretty smooth.
Love it - one of my top three. If you like more earthy flavor you vmbm have to try it.
Love how earthy this tea is, it is perfect for when I'm eating a savory meal.
This is an elegant, smooth, gently assertive Oolong. I did a 15-second rinse prior to steeping, and will likely continue the practice in future because it yielded such a perfect cup. The flavor was full on the tongue, but with clean, clear mineral notes, like a piccolo enhancing a melody.
This tea is quite enjoyable. I like that it is an oolong that isn't so green. The color is quite amber, the aroma is of wet leather to me. The flavor is earthy with little hints of cocoa and spice.
This is my alternative daily drinker...similar to the Wuyi, has a nice mineral taste and a earth/foresty nose.
Love this tea.. So soothing and smooth, got as a sample and had to order !
