I got this as a sample and I'm glad I did because it's flavor is different. Not different in a bad way it just wasn't my cup of tea (lame I know). On its own it's hard to describe but I wouldn't reorder to drink on its own but it blended well with my spearmint tea.

This is a personal favorite of mine. I have at least two cups a day. Great for the drive into work. This one is good for three to four steepings. An all around great tea. We just can't get enough if it! My personal favorite Oolong. I like to steep it at 185F for 1 min, 30 sec. (90 sec total)

Easily my favorite unsweetened oolong teas. It tastes like... if oolong could be rain, this would be it. So yummy.
★★★★★
It was a wonderful oolong. The flavor was mellow and the roasted not was not overpowering. I suggest brewing at a lower temperature than directed.

It was a good tea, don't get me wrong, there is just one thing I have to say about it. I like storms, so I was thinking with all of these reviews about how it's like after a storm and how it is like water from a cave and stuff that it must taste like those feelings. Well it really isn't like that. It has the roasted vegetable flavor that people are saying, but rain part isn't there.
★★★★★
It smells like fresh rain. I love it. The taste is very delicate, but I found it is great with honey and a little milk.
★★★★★
Great, traditional flavor. Fabulous price! I really like this one.

Great oolong, this might be my favorite. I expected it to be darker but it's actually a pretty light cup, which still has some nice deeper flavors. Definitely interesting and complex.

I really like the subtle flavors and taste on a 2nd infusion. I like wuyi ensemble as well, but this is actually my preferred everyday tea, and it costs less to boot.
★★★★☆
This has an aroma almost like toasted rice, or as described in other reviews as roasted root vegetables. I personally don't taste the apricots or spice but the tannic mineral flavor is pleasant.

I usually really enjoy oolongs, and this was certainly no exception. Some complex, but not overbearing, flavors that seemed to subtly change with each steep!
★★★★★
This is perhaps my favorite tea now. It has a very distinct favor that everyone must try! Definitely a must have.
★★★☆☆
Too smoky and metallic for my taste. But it is a high quality tea.

This was one of my favorites out of all the tea samples we ordered for Christmas. It is flavorful but not overwhelming.
★★★★☆
A solid, dark, oolong. Like a good loose-leaf version of restaurant-tea.
★★★★★
This has an incredible mineral taste to it. It tastes like liking rain-wet rocks, but in a good way.

This was my first try of oolong tea. And I think I picked a pretty good one to taste test. I brewed it for about 2.5 minutes and added a little honey. I can't say for sure if I'll continue to buy oolong but I'll definitely enjoy the sample pack.

This is a very calming tea, soft, but quite delicious

This tea has a roasted flavor with some top apricot/flowery notes on the first steeping. It is however quite weak, and with any subsequent steeping it preserves only the background woody, earthy flavor. In my experience, it is certainly not in the same category with other dark oolongs here.

I really liked this green tea. At first sip, it didn't floor me but as I drank more it became soothing and tasted something like a smooth breeze with a hint of chestnut but very very light. The leaves are unraveled and look so interesting. I think that this can be a strong green tea if you over brew it and let the leaves sit. This as a cold green tea is wonderful and I can see where it got it's name from because the overcast of a rainy day. Lovely tea.

Very similar to the wuyi, which I also didn't love. Both of these are a little too rocky tasting for my palate. The fruit notes don't come through at all.
★★★★☆
A beautiful deep flavor. This one is interesting alone or in a blend.

I feel this tea is one of the more 'classic' tastes of what you'd expect from a good tea. The flavor is smooth and refined giving it an excellent taste from someone who is an avid tea-lover or a new disciple.
★★★★★
Smoky, minerally, earthy, rich. This tea is perfect for winter days when I need something to warm me up physically and mentally. It makes me feel like I'm relaxing in front of a cozy fireplace.

One of my favorite recent purchases. It has a wonderful calming, clean taste, and reminds me of tea that I had in restaurants as a child.
★★★★★
Like its name, this tea was as light and refreshing as a spring rain shower. It's great when you want something that is not overpowering in its flavor. It would also be quite relaxing on a lazy, rainy day.

I enjoyed this tea a great deal. Very flavorful and excellent aroma.

Really delicious oolong- this has become my go to breakfast tea.

Earthy and mineral tasting. Different. It's also good cold.

I enjoyed this tea quite a bit. It has a light fruity flavor over a mid-strength oolong. Overall a gentle tea, not harsh at all.

A darker roast oolong. Pleasant especially for those who enjoy coffee, but are trying to cut down on caffeine. Not my favorite oolong (Ali Shan is amazing) but still delicious and satisfying
★★★★☆
Mild flavor, brews a nice light-honey color. I usually prefer my teas a bit stronger but this is a good choice for someone new to oolong.
★★★☆☆
a good oolong but not my favorite. the scent of the dry leaves does not come through in the brew. much more vegetal scent which is not the best
★★★★☆
I prefer my teas on ice and wonder if this one would be better warm? I do enjoy it iced though and will continue ordering it. This tea is stronger and brews well. It has an earthy taste and more complex flavors than other oolongs I've had.

I'm starting to think that maybe Japanese teas aren't for me. Though not as grassy as kuchika (I think), it still has an earthy, grassy-ish tone to it. Would be great, blended with other things, I think, but by itself, I don't think it's my cuppa.

A nice exotic tea. In the bag, it smells like the air before rain, and almost of fish food (though it thankfully doesn't TASTE like fish food). A quite buttery taste, on the light side of an oolong. I almost get a 'potato-y' taste from it, and not in a bad way. Pretty great!

This tea smells incredible, very warm and earthy. It brewed up the same, tasting deliciously like tea and rain.

This was my first experience with an oolong tea, so I'm unable to compare. But I thought it was delicious!

The flavor is almost nutty in its mineral-ness, and I enjoy it immensely. There's a subtle hint of spice that I catch at the very end of each sip that's just so delicious.

Delicious, smooth. Unique and refreshing from all other teas you have tried. very surprised.

My favorite oolong on the site. The first two steepings taste the same, but the third is a bit weaker(still good though). I would drink 4 or more steepings.
★★★★★
Wonderful! It has a fruity mineral taste that's absolutely lovely. It taste similar to the take out oolongs at chain restaurants but ten times better.

I wasn't expecting this to taste like Wuyi, but I was expecting similar characteristics. I get no rock-taste at all.. A little bit of a peach-pit flavor, but overall I would rate this as an average tea. Not terrible, but not great.

I bought this tea originally for the unique leaf size and shape. When brewed, it has a refreshing taste that reminds me of the moments after the rain stops pouring, nice and calm. The flavor may not be complex but its straightforward, and it introduces itself to your mouth slowly, appearing after the sip and softly whispering its flavor to your tastebuds. It handles multi-steepings well, the second weilding a more fruity flavor, and the third being a sweet honey-like smoothness with a spicy mineral aftertaste. Wonderful tea.

This was my first oolong, and it was delicious! Amber colored, nice clean, earthy smell, terrific on it's own (or with a hint of sugar.) The tea leaves themselves are nice and big, and I get three good steeps out of the pot. Will buy again.
