★★★☆☆

This teas smell reminded me a bit of dried seaweed. I didn't get much of the fruity taste, but the mineral flavor was pretty pleasant. It tasted like what I imagine drinking right from a spring would taste like. It wasn't a bad tea, but it was not my favorite

Got this tea in the tea bag form and it is my go to on the go tea!

★★★★★

Deeply satisfying. Vague notes of something burning, but not smokey. Mineral flavor is there. The sampler left me wanting more.

Very good and dark oolong. I tried it with an extremely small amount of honey and loved it

This very much tastes like a root. I wasn't a fan but if you like that sort of 'ground' taste you'll probably enjoy!

This is, as the writeup says, a good everyday oolong. I was a little disappointed in my first cup because I really didn't get the mineral taste, but in the second infusion it was a lot more prominent, with a very long finish (for tea). Speaking of, I got two good infusions out of this (steeping it for about twice as long the second time) and I suspect I could even have gotten a third. if you like your tea strong you will probably not agree with me, though, since this is a pretty mild tea to begin with.

This tea is great on its own and because it is so unassuming it would probably be good with food too, if you like that sort of thing.

Edit: I tried this tea again and this time got to a third and fourth infusion. I found both of them totally drinkable and enjoyable, but again, if you like your tea very strong you will likely not agree. I also tried cold-brewing this tea. I ended up with a very, very, very light tea with a nutty, minerally flavor. It's not quite 'tea' when you brew it this way, but it's different and refreshing.

This is going to be my new go-to tea for sharing a pot with friends. it is rich, aromatic, and flavorful. It is not so astringent as to require sweetener, but I am told that it is quite pleasant with honey.

★★★★★

I really love this tea. its very similar to wuyi ensemble, but with more pronounced earthy notes and pervasive spiciness throughout.

★★★★★

This tea has a very light flavor. It's great when you just want something to drink but don't want anything that is too heavy. Very refreshing.

A wonderful oolong with an earthy, almost crisp mineral flavor with a roasted vegetable aftertaste that comes off both warm and inviting after a long day. Looking forward to ordering more of this when I run out. :)

It's a morning tea for me as it comes off like a stout for me. After the smoke clears, vegetal tones flow in and lay on the tongue.

I have come to the conclusion that every time someone says tea has a mineral flavor, they actually mean 'this thing tastes exactly like seaweed.'

Great Oolong, one of my favorites. It has a sublte sweetness with a nutty taste.

I really enjoy the complexity of this tea. My only problem is that it's a little bit too delicate for my taste. I like my oolongs (particularly the more earthy ones) to have a bit more of a kick than this one does. Other than that, this tea is really good. I particularly like how it goes from a smoky, mineral flavor in the first steep to a buttery nuttiness in the final steep.

★★★★☆

This is a great tea... A very rich tasting, smooth, and complex flavor, that tends to change with each additional steeping. A very earthy Oolong. The aroma is the best part, very sweet smelling, with nutty undertones. The cup is a beautiful amber color, witch adds to the experience IMO. Overall an exceptional tea that I will have stocked for a while.

This seems a lot less complex than the wuyi ensemble or a red robe. Drier, nothing in the front of the tongue

This is one of my favorite oolongs so far. There is a very delicious flavor to it that I cannot place, but it goes very well with honey. It is a little bit fruity, a little bit savory, a little bit floral. I love this tea and will keep this as a staple in my tea stash!

The description is correct. the tea certainly has a mineral/rock taste. It isn't bad at all, but I didn't like it as much as I expected. Altogether an interesting tea and definitely worth a try!

This is a subtle yet very basic oolong. Wont oversteap easy which is good. Probably not going to get multiple infusions out of one serving.

When I bought this, there were no samples available, so I took the chance to buy a bigger package. I do not regret it in the least. It has become one of my favorite teas. It's earthy and warm, the perfect tea when I'm cuddling up with a good book.

The mineral taste and rich, almost sweet, taste made the flavors almost contradict each other at first taste. 'Wait a minute, what is that I'm tasting?'. But they end up complementing each other and being interesting and flavorful.

Delicious tea, full bodied with a refreshing and calming quality about it. Defintly can visualize misty mountains as I drink it. Defintly recommend!

Bold and full bodied, woodsy and inviting. Darker and heavier than wuyi ensemble. Wonderful wulong!

amazing taste. the taste of what would remind you of the smell before a rainstorm in the mountains with a twist of honey and roasted root vegtables.

A very good earthy oolong tea. The rock mineral taste is supreme. Crisp clean aroma will wake you up and soothe you at the same time. Not as strong in the peachy notes as others got from it but still a very good tea. One of the best teas you can buy at Adagio - you really need to try this one!

Pretty good oolong. I burned it the first time I tried making it cause I forgot you steep it at 195 and not at 1 lol. overall it's a nice tea.

My new favorite. Very good cup of tea. Smooth, not bitter. I need to reorder NOW.

this is an amazing tea slightly peppery and deep amber color, with a clean finish. i love this blended with an equal part of yunnan noir

This is a wonderful oolong. Love the smokey, mineral taste. Good for multiple steepings. Great for that early morning cup of tea.

This is a really interesting tea. I was mostly drawn to it due to the interesting, otherworldly shape of the tea leaves the mineral note in the description. I was skeptical -- how can a tea taste like minerals? But it does, it evokes that feeling, of fresh water deep underground and clean, glittering cave rock -- primal, aquatic, invigorating and stony. This is a wonderful tea and another one I'm getting a larger bag of.

From the description, I think I was hoping for a bit more of a rocky mineral taste. It does have elements of that, but it mostly tastes like pu-erh or yunnan to me, with that characteristic chinese tea flavor, like hay.

I bought this tea looking for a cheaper replacement after trying the expensive Wuyi Da Hong Pao tea. This 'Fujian Rain' and also the 'Wuyi Ensemble' both taste very similar and COST MUCH LESS than Da Hong Pao. In fact they are so similar that i will never pay the premium price for the masters version again. For me, however, the Fujian rain is too delicate/weak and cloudy feeling for lack of a better word, so i will just stick with the Wuyi ensemble tea to satisfy my 'rocky flavored' tea cravings. I guess if you are broke the Fujian rain would be acceptable...

The light smoke really packs a great amount of flavor. The light undertones of nuttiness, and the aroma of a fire brought warmth and relaxation to my daily cups of tea.

Fujian was an okay tea. It was bold and smoky as far as an oolong is concerned. I enjoy this in the mornings as a wake me up and it does offer a delightful taste and a wonderful cup.

This tea is somewhat similar the the wuyi ensemble tea. yet it is missing some of the mineral rock taste in which the wuyi ensemble tea provides. It doesn't taste too bad, just not what I expected.

My daughter liked the tea all tho she said she has had better for cheaper and at $7 for 2oz well I know she gets at lest 3.2oz for $5 for a oolong as good if not better then this.but she did say she could drink this tea a few times day even with it being $7 for 2oz.but like I said she has gotten better from other places.

A friend served this oolong at her house over the holidays, I had a cup from the second steeping and fell in love, adagio has some awesome oolongs and this one is exceptional.

★★★★☆

Fujan rain is a very nice dark oolong. This tea is great for the price compared to other oolongs.

This tea has a very seaweedy scent to it that is off-putting right out of the bag, but mildly refreshing as a drink.

★★★★☆

This one is difficult to review. It falls short when stacked up against the high end oolongs, but it does have that 'rain' taste that makes these types of tea so great. The think the dark taste is a bit strong and the finish isn't as smooth as I had hoped.

Clean, crisp, refreshing, and delicate in both aroma and flavor. Not as fragrant or full bodied as Wuyi Ensemble, so it is not my favorite Oolong, but is definitely worth trying. Too pricey to be an everyday tea.

★★★★★

This tea is great for multiple steepings. It's smokey and complex mix of spice notes leads to a full bodied taste that instantly makes it one of my favorite oolongs that I've tried from adagio.

Loved the flavor of this oolong. It wasn't like any of the others I've tried and is definitely one of my favorites. It didn't stand up to a second steeping however.

★★★★☆

This is the first oolong tea I have ever tried. It was very smooth, but not very aromatic. It was a medium bodied tea with a nice almost nutty finish. I look forward to trying more oolongs.

A very warm and inviting tea. Fujian Rain is my favorite tea out of all that I have had from Adagio, to me this is definitely worth the price you pay for it!
