Matcha Customer Reviews

Only the finest, young, shade-grown gyokuro tea leaves are used to create matcha. The leaves are plucked and laid out flat to dry. Veins are removed and the leaves, now called tencha, are carefully ground in granite mills until they become the precious powder.

I bought this matcha because I wanted to use a higher grade matcha in dessert recipe. It’s absolutely worth it to splurge on this quality matcha over the culinary matcha you can get at many stores these days. This matcha is vibrant and green. It tastes amazing and has grassy and earthy tones. This is now my favorite matcha to use in baking.

★★★★☆

Mixes well with milk.

★★★★★

Great quality matcha! Needed some for baking, but I also love to make lattes with it. A little goes a long way.

★★★★★

I love this tea! It has a strong green tea flavor! It pairs very smoothly with almond milk as a latte, this is definitely a tea I will be having every day!!

My husband is totally obsessed with matcha tea! This is a high quality matcha & worth the $!

★★★★★

Best Matcha I have ever tasted, this is my all time favorite!

★★★★★

Delicious and pairs exceptionally well with citrus flavors

I've been drinking matcha tea for a good while and I wanted to try Adagio's. I'm not sure why, but it doesn't taste like matcha to me. It doesn't have that delicious earthy aroma that matcha usually has. It also has a bizarre aftertaste that I can't explain. It's possible that I didn't get a good batch, but I most likely won't buy it again. BUT I should mention that I am a big fan of Adagio's loose leaf teas, so don't let this review deter you from the brand!!

This is some of the best matcha. Matcha by itself is an acquired taste. I love the bitterness. I love a green tea frappe. Just for me personally it lowers my blood sugar levels, (however) always check with the doctor first. I don’t recommend this for anyone, just for me.

★★★★★

I really love this match, has a good flavor and mixes well. I’ve had it both as traditional matcha with nothing extra and as a matcha latte. Enjoyable both ways!

★★★★★

Lovely matcha quality, I have it most mornings to replace coffee and it gives such a nice energy boost.

★★★★★

A solid matcha. A bit pricey for the size, but isn’t shipped through Amazon, which is why I ditched my last matcha supplier.

★★★★☆

Had pretty decent green colour and tasted delicious!

Great flavor, without being overpowering. Works really well with the matcha whisk.

this matcha is really high quality, but i think matcha isn’t quite to my liking.

★★★★★

I’ve lived in japan and I’ve had the good stuff literally fresh from the farm. This is really good and very green and not bitter perfect!

★★★★★

Earthy flavor without the bitterness matcha often has. Quality and lasts when used correctly !

This is a really nice matcha! It’s not really clumpy, and it has a nice, green flavor to it, but it’s not super strong so it pairs well with other teas.

I enjoy making matcha lattes. This matcha makes a delicious cup of tea. I prefer classic over flavored. I will definitely re purchase. I added a gorgeous matcha bowl and some accessories. I’m all set! Happy sipping!

★★★★★

A good-quality matcha for everyday use. I make a matcha latte a few times a week and this has become my go-to. I wish the larger batches would come back in stock, though.

★★★★★

I blend 1/2 tsp of the matcha with 1/4 cup of milk and 1 cup of boiling water. Sometimes I add three drops of honey. It's delicious and energizing in the morning.

Did not like. It was too earthy tasting for me, although it did have a very slight creamy taste to it.

★★★★★

Excellent quality and taste. Great warm or iced in a latte.

Our matcha fan loved this, the rest of us thought it was very good. Maybe more suitable for true matcha lovers.

★★★★★

I can’t get enough of this matcha green tea. I use it to make myself a latte with almond milk, cinnamon, and honey. I look forward to it everyday!

Good quality for the price. Appreciate that it comes in small bags for freshness

★★★★★

My go to tea. I usually make it cold with raw honey

★★★★★

Excellent taste. Pairs well with coconut almond creamer.

★★★★★

This matcha powder is SO exquisite, even those powdery dregs at the bottom of the cup taste so good! I make a nice BIG cup of green tea with 2 heaping teaspoons of this powder whisked together with my stevia and a teensy bit of hot water before I put the rest of the water in, along with vegan coffee creamer (it's how I 'cheat' making a matcha latte, I don't feel like washing a pot full of hot almond milk). Because of the price and extreme quality, I'd use this for drinking only, not baking.

I don't know how I lived without this matcha before now. I have always had it as a flavor in other foods or drinks but now I am hooked at the straight tea itself. Sometimes I will brew a cup and add it to my morning shake, but I still find that using this tea along with the bowl and whisk is the very best way to drink it. I can't attest to if it is better than other matcha on the market, but with a matcha this good I am totally content and don't need to look at any alternatives.

★★★★★

I love this for an oat milk latte! Fantastic quality

★★★★★

High quality matcha at a good price. Wonderful color and taste - definitely the best I have tried in the realm of matcha.

★★★★★

Used it in my own version of S'bucks' drink called matcha lemonade. Yum!

★★★★★

Really nice matcha - it was a pleaseant surprise. Smooth and not super vegetal. Made a great iced latte!

★★★★★

This is the best matcha I’ve tried. Some matcha can seem quite fishy. I enjoy this one a great deal.

★★★★★

This is some of the best matcha I have encountered. The color is beautiful and it is never clumped.

★★★★★

I love this matcha. It is really great as a matcha tea latte.

★★★★★

I’ve had some matcha flavored foods before and didn’t think I liked matcha. I decided to try out a sampler of this and try making a iced matcha latte with almond milk as suggested in one of the comments on this tea. It was great and I even went heavy on the tea so there was a very strong match flavor. My spouse thought he didn’t like matcha either, but we both loved this matcha. The flavor is very clean and grassy and I have already bought more as my sampler size went quick (because I drank so much!).

★★★★★

Firstly, the smell is absolutely incredible!! Secondly, it tastes as great as it smells! Thirdly, I immediately got transported back to Japan. Fourthly, in a pinch, this can be made in a French press.

This is the first matcha I've ever had, so I can't compare to what a standard might be. That said, it's a pleasant green taste, especially once you get the hang of frothing and you get that lacy bubbly texture too.

★★★★★

This matcha is delicious I was able to use it to mimic my Starbucks order!
