Matcha Customer Reviews

Only the finest, young, shade-grown gyokuro tea leaves are used to create matcha. The leaves are plucked and laid out flat to dry. Veins are removed and the leaves, now called tencha, are carefully ground in granite mills until they become the precious powder.

By far my favorite matcha to use for iced matcha lattes at home! I will continue to buy this matcha over other store-bought options!

This is a very good matcha. I enjoy this hot with a touch of stevia, or added to a breakfast smoothie.

A really nice matcha tea! Its good quality and the aroma is very nice when you smell it. Careful when opening it however as it tends to spill easily

This is good, ceremonial grade, matcha. It's definitely a higher grade than the little pouches, I got both at the same time. The color is rich, like spring grass and the taste is very clean. If you are looking for good matcha to drink on its own get this one. If you want to add it to smoothies or cooking, get the pouches.

The small tin is hard to open. The lightweight matcha 'poofed' all over by the time I got lid off. Moved matcha to screw-lid jar. Much better.

its been a while since I've tried unadulterated matcha, and I wasn't sure how to make it. I found some directions online to follow, including a matcha wisk, and the results were a pleasant and smooth. I've also tried this matcha wisked into warm almond milk which was also enjoyable.

This stuff is delicious, and not too labor intensive after a bit of practice, but it’s way easier if you have a milk frother rather than mixing by hand

This matcha meets all 3 check points: emerald green color, fine easily mixed powder and most of all a rich delicious flavor! It’s especially flavorful mixed with almond milk.

If you like matcha and green tea, you’ll love this tea. It’s a bright green color and is in such a fine powder that I don’t know what to compare it to. I have bought this several times.

bought a 1lb bag and it smelled weird and make me sick to my stomach, sent it back, but the replacement bag still wasn't great, the quality was much better many years ago, don't know what is happening now, sad

This is such a smooth, lovely matcha, it's perfect for fall. I love the flavors but there is nothing like a pure matcha. Paired with the bowl and whisk for the full experience. Perfection!

I love this matcha, I mix it with oatmilk as an iced latte and if I’m feeling fancy I’ll add some lavender simple syrup. The review told me I had to put a temp and time but I just whip it together for a minute and use oatmilk from the fridge.

Love the green matcha & add it to my protein shake every day. Great health benefits - highly recommend!

Matcha powder adds a boost of healthiness to your day. 'Matcha is loaded with antioxidants and offers numerous health benefits, potentially reducing heart disease risk while aiding weight loss, relaxation, and alertness.' . I usually add it to green tea but also add it to my black tea.

★★★★★

My morning go-to. It is perfect to start the day or as a pick-me-up at anytime. In the mornings, I drink it plain and in the afternoon I often add honey. It is wonderful both way!

This is the brightest green matcha I've ever tried. It's the best. Plus, it's ceremonial grade, also the best.

★★★★★

Matcha is an interesting taste but I love that I end feeling just as alert as when I drink coffee. It was the first tea gifted to me from this site by my then new girlfriend and now wife. Has a special place in my stomach and heart.

I love the Matcha from Adagio. It's a great quality for the price. I drink this during the mornings as a matcha latte. Nice earthy taste to it.

★★★★★

Good quality matcha for a fair price. I don't usually make tea with it but it works great in my baking.

Needs to have a stronger flavor. I did enjoy it, but I had to put more than two scoops to have a nice strong flavor.

I used this to make iced tea with almond milk. It was delicious, but I found it difficult to blend the matcha powder with a spoon; it may have been easier with a proper tea whisk.

Earthy, smooth, and good buzz. Got a bit of a belly ache but possibly due to an empty stomach.

This is also a favorite of mine. I will have matter in the morning before noon. I feel like it gives me a lot of great health benefits. If I had one criticism it would be that I wish the powder was ground even finer if that’s possible. It doesn’t really dissolve so that might be a problem for some people

I never had matcha before outside of baked goods or ice cream. It’s just as delicious as a tea as it is in a muffin. Even my fiancé liked it and he doesn’t like tea (I know, it kills me too). I might need to buy the fancy matcha whisk though. It’s a very fine powder, almost like clay, and it does not dissolve easily. I followed the instructions on the bag and ended up with a packed layer or matcha at the bottom of my mug. I either added to much or didn’t dissolve it all the way. I used a small baking whisk to stir it.

My husband and I finally got around to trying matcha. We've enjoyed in lattes and ice cream but never like this. After listening to a podcast on Matcha, I figured Adagio would be a good place to start and they sure didn't disappoint. I love their Matcha!

★★★★★

No bitterness! So smooth and delicate. Very different from your basic matcha

★★★★★

Adagio, so far, has the best Matcha I have tasted. If you love Matcha, I recommend giving this one a try.
