Matcha is my guilty pleasure! I love adding it to steamed soy milk. It is not the best matcha I have had, but it is still very tasty.
This matcha is better than others I've tried in the past.
Part of my morning ritual. I alternate this tea with gyokuro. This is the powered leaf of the gyokuro and have the same relaxing and energizing effect.
I've been wanting to try this matcha powder (instead of matcha tea bags I get locally). It's an interesting, full, rich, earthy flavor - very good.
I like the health benefits and the ritual of making the tea. If you're feeling lazy, you can add it to a smoothie. As a tea of course, it is top notch. Highly recommend. Adagio will help you learn how to make it too. They are very nice.

I've been into the matcha 'world' for a couple of years now, and this is really an area where you get what you pay for - the quality of Adagio's matcha isn't the best, but it is definitely leagues above the cheaper culinary grade. If you want the real thing, expect to pay double per ounce. If you just want something to make good (mixed or blended) drinks with, this is a good and more affordable option.

Adagio's matcha is by far my most favorite tea offered on this website. I drink it each and every day. I had tried many matcha's before, all of which taste like dust compared to this fresh and bright offering. I prepare my matcha iced with a tid bit of honey, occasionally with a little bit of the flavored matchas or some lemon.
First time trying matcha, and I was really pleased! I wanted to start out with the basic matcha, but now I'm interested in trying the flavored versions, as well as using it in some cooking. I know it's probably sacrilege, but I use a hand blender to mix it. I could never get all of the lumps out without it, and those were really the only thing I didn't like about it.
No complaints. I'm happy Adagio sells matcha these days, and I don't have to trust my luck with online vendors I don't trust as much to care about the age and storage of tea.

This is wonderful. I always bought this iced at a popular coffee place, and honestly didn't really have alot of faith that I can make it at home but I prepared it exactly as Adagio directs on the site, and added a couple of tablespoons of Vanilla creamer (regular not fat or sugar free). Add ice and enjoy. It was wonderful. I won't buy my favorite drink any more.

So, so good. I've missed having easy access to good matcha since I left Japan, and now I'm so glad to have found some again! I'm not enough of an expert to say how Adagio's matcha compares to other varieties out there, but I think it's absolutely worth buying and seems to be a great price for the quality compared to other brands I've seen.
Matcha teas may just not be for me as I did not find the taste appealing in the least bit.

Best matcha, others are no comparison. Price is also very reasonable when considering the high quality! Got other slightly cheaper and it was far inferior to Adagio's.
Great stuff! I have a cup of Matcha every day when I wake up, and I can see so many benefits from it! First of all, I have lost weight and it improved my digestion immensely... It also cleared up my acne as well! Order a pound of it for $120 bucks, it only comes out to about $7 dollars per ounce!!!
I've had several different matcha's before from other vendors and I think this one is my favorite. A lot of the other ones were a little more bitter then I would have liked, while this was lighter on the bitter and allowed the floral to come through more.
A beautiful bright vibrant matcha. I have to admit, I don't enjoy in it's pure form, hence the good not great score. Rather I add this to my morning smoothie for a boost. I tried it straight and it was just okay. I just ordered the premium matcha, which I love in straight. But I also ordered this (less costly) for continued addition to my smoothies. I think this would also be good for baking, althought I haven't tried. I have seen interesting recipes. Enjoy!
To me this is just too bitter, but I would suggest trying it with the correct accessories (whisk and such). I made it with coconut milk and almond milk - both were an improvement over water.

My first experience with matcha, pretty gnarly stuff. I dilute it by half when I make it.
It has a very vegetable-like smell, but it tastes a lot better than it smells! This is my first taste of properly prepared matcha. It is a bit grassy though. Can't wait to try the flavored ones!

Wow. This has replaced coffee for me in the mornings, a feat I never thought possible! This is lovely: smooth and creamy, with a bright, green flavor that is balanced delicately on the edge of being a touch too grassy. I love to make this into a latte with some coconut milk (no dairy for me)--its the perfect pick me up I need to face the day.
It tastes OK. I had better Matcha in the past. This one is not worth the high price.
I've ordered many premium matcha teas recently, and none of them foam, and are all bitter. This one is bright green, foams well, and is very smooth. Love it.. Just ordered another can today.

This is the family favorite. The matcha is incredibly smooth yet robust. I love drinking this first thing in the morning.
While finer varieties of matcha exist on the market, there comes a point when it's just too expensive and a little silly. Adagio's matcha is good enough, it's not too grassy but not too sweet and while I normally brew a cup with 1 teaspoon I found that a 1/2 tsp is quite enough with this so a little goes a long way. For a day to day matcha fix this gets the job done without being too cost prohibitive!

I used to live in Japan, and I practiced tea ceremony. This matcha has nothing on a good, authentic Japanese matcha. But for those of us stateside, it is pretty good!
This makes a really great cup of tea, however, I'm just too lazy to make it that often. If I were to get it more regularly, I think I would invest in one of those battery powered drink whisks. That way I could blend it easier AND have some nice frothy milk to add to it.

Not at all bitter! Very green and refreshing, but relatively little astringency. Color was bright and vibrant green. Powder is not gritty when made into the matcha tea. I like it very much
A friend told me about Matcha and encouraged me to try this as an alternative/supplement to coffee. After reading reviews from various sites I was concerned that it would be very bitter, but it wasn't at all. For me, it tastes just like any other green tea I've had. The only issue I have is getting all the lumps out. I freely admit, I cheated and bought an electronic latte whippy thing because me pre-caffeine plus whisking by hand equals GINORMOUS mess.
I also make this with heated milk and add a bit of vanilla and some honey. it tastes amazing this way! Even my 5yr old son likes Mommy's 'Green Milk'
