The description of tea is pretty spot on. It wasn't as sour as I was expecting but it was still enjoyable

If it has caffeine it would be 5 star, otherwise the flavor is great. (steeped overnight in fridge)

★★★★☆

If you like sour things, this is the tea for you. I preferred it hot over iced.

★★☆☆☆

Not much to my liking - too much apple flavor that it drowned out the sense of tea. I'll be gifting the remaining sample package to a friend.

it's not as sour as I was hoping/imagining it would be. It's fine for an apple tea, but I was looking for something a little different based on the name

★★★★★

A personal favorite, very unique flavor and as usual not overly strong.

Had it with a teaspoon of sugar and it was delicious

The initial aromas from the pouch are extremely tart and mouth puckering. After brewing however, the tartness of the hibiscus and rose hips mellows for more of a sweet apple flavor. A pleasant enough tisane.

★★★★★

Its a wonderful fruity vibe through the whole brewing process. The tea smells like almost a candy apple and as a wonderful flavor in the cup.

★★★★☆

Sour apple flavor is tasty and accurate, though overwhelmed by other sour ingredients.

★★★☆☆

this was OK. I thought it would taste much better ... I didn t really get a sour apple taste unfortunately.

A possible new favorite. Really enjoy fruit teas and this one checks all the boxes

I don't always like apple teas, because they tend to be too sweet or the cinnamon is too intense. This one, however, is delicious. You truly taste sour apples.

★★★★★

I love sour apple everything and this tea lives up to it. Delicious!

★★★★☆

Overall good flavor - I tasted more of the sour and less of the apple. I agree with the 'sweet tart' taste referred to in other reviews. I'm still on the hunt for a true apple tea (apple without spices) like the one I enjoyed from Germany.

★★★★★

super tasty! I love it alone or with a little honey/sugar. Perfect if you're feeling something sweet after dinner but don't want to be to bad.

★★★★☆

This is good, but I’m not sure if I get sour apple on it. Maybe more like a traditional herbal hibiscus tea with some apple notes?

★★★☆☆

I’ve been hesitant about trying this tea because the words “sour apple” scared me because it sounded like something that would taste like stale apple juice. But this was not like that at all, and I’m glad I gave it a try. While it’s not my favorite herbal by any means, I flavor is light and the apple flavor is pronounced, with just a slight hint of a vinegar aftertaste. Not sure if I like the aftertaste or not, but this herbal is not bad overall. If you like the flavor of slightly tart apples, you’ll probably like this tea!

Sour Apple blend and wildflower honey are the perfect combination. I had it on a cold, rainy evening and it just made my night. Although I can't really see this as an iced tea. ** I made a pot of this tea again today while adding another tea to see how it would taste. About 1/4 Sour Apple to 3/4 Yuletide Toddy. This was an incredible pot of tea. The Yuletide Toddy is my most favorite tea during the cold autumn and winter months. The Sour Apple just gives it another level of flavor.

I noticed more tartness in the flavor hence the 'sour' name. Also, I noticed a sharper aroma before being brewed. A nice herbal tea to try!

★★★★★

The apple flavor in this was just enough to not be overpowering, and it wasn't too sour either. One of my favorites.

★★★★★

This tea is so delightful! It is wonderfully fruity and just the right amount of tang. Good cold or hot

★★★★☆

Tart, tangy and smooth, this is a solid choice for any apple lover. My only complaint is that it tends to be a bit weak even after a long steep.

At first I wasn't so keen on this sweet tart apple hibiscus blend tea. But I let it settle, and boy was I glad I did! Wonderful by it self and it certainly delivers a pow flavor. It often is blended in with other teas for a unique flavorful cuppa if you are not so sure of it by itself. Worth the try!

Slight sour taste. Delicious and amazing. My non-tea drinking husband loves it and downed half of my mug before I realized what was happening.

Great as an iced tea. Unfortunately, the taste doesn't translate well as a hot tea. It was a little overwhelming as a hot tea.

I have to say that I really loved this tea.
Sour Apple is amazing hot and cold. Nice bite from the rosehips and definitely apple flavored. I brewed it relatively strong (2 heaping spoons in 24 oz of water for 10 minutes) and was blown away by the flavor. Lots of hibiscus and rosehips!

I love this tea for blending. It holds it own, As a cold brew and hot, although I needed to double the amount and time to get a nice strong flavor.

I absolutely love this blend. It has an amazing tangy apple flavor. It is definitely one of my favorites!

Perfect tea for fall time. Add a little cinnamon.

★★★★★

This is a good one to let warm it in the crockpot when having a group over. Sometimes I add hibiscus tea to it for a deeper red color. Energizing but with no caffeine.

★★★★★

From the lovely red hue after brewing to the spiced apple cider tint to the taste, this is a marvelous tea. It has just enough but to earn the sour label without being overpowering.

Very yummy. Love that it is decaf. I enjoyed it warm with stevia.

★★★★★

The smell of this tea in thebpackage is almost vinegary, but the taste is great when steeped. Very Granny Smith!!

I opted not to finish the cup, as it burned my throat. I'm not a fan of hibiscus and rosehip-heavy teas anyway, but sometimes they have interesting flavors that make them worthwhile. I couldn't get any particular apple flavor from this, no more than any other tisane that includes apple pieces along with hibiscus. Not for me.

★★★★☆

I cold brewed this, the flavor was tasty but very mild would have been better if I had two communiTEA packets but that isn’t the tea’s fault. The colour is gorgeous.

★★★☆☆

I only like this tisane in blends. I had it with honey and iced today but it's just not something I would normally reach for. It is great for blending, though.

I took one sip of this unsweetened and said 'oh dear, oh no' out loud. Adding a drop of sweetener rescued this tea from being unbearably earthy and musty, but not by much. (5 mins @ 212 F, 1 drop EZ-Sweetz)

The name fits. If that is what you're looking for, then this tea is for you. I received this as a Communitea sample.

*Update*

Smells like a sour apple lollipop so I was a little worried it would be too sweet, but the flavor is balanced well once brewed. I found that the flavors were a little brighter once the tea had cooled after the steep vs right away, so I’ll be trying it iced next!

* I finally got the pack of large paper tea filters (they work in the plain glass iced tea pitcher w/o the built in strainer perfectly!) and this tea is AMAZING iced! The flavor stays strong and packs the perfect sour apple punch, which is saying a lot as I find most teas are far more subtle when prepared iced. 10 out of 10 would recommend*

The flavor was extremely accurate, but I'm not sure I really have much room in my life for sour apple flavored tea. It was a really beautiful red color and I don't think it needed any sugar.

★★★☆☆

This tea was fine. The smell coming out of the bag was not very good but once brewed it was a lot better. The taste was good

★★★★☆

This tea is great!  A whole lot of tart apple  on the sip, you would never know it by the nose!  Looking forward to the second steep.       4⭐️

It's similar to Wild Strawberry, but the apple is amped up instead of the berry. Delicious!

★★★★☆

A bit heavier on the hibiscus side but there's still the presence of a tarty apple. I've been looking for more summer fruit teas and this one is fun (communiTEA)

★★★★★

Not as sweet and cinnamon-y as I usually prefer my apple flavored beverages, but good for when my sweet tooth is on break.

★★★★☆

This was definitely a very tart tea! The rose hips and hibiscus are bigger players than the apple. It was very tasty iced and with sugar!

★★★☆☆

I made this tea iced and it was fine — not as tart as other reviewers posted.
